Chapter 1- Back To Past (Part 2)

The war between demons and humans has been going on for hundreds of years. No one knows when it started or what caused it. But the war won’t stop until one of them is completely gone.

The king of beasts, the demon king, was born and humans began to be pushed back. I remember Uncle Tom laughing sadly, saying that the winner of this war would be the Beasts.

Then God made a prophecy. Let the warrior appear in the place where it is dark in the morning and bright at night. The warrior will drive out the darkness and bring eternal comfort to you.

Oh, yes, God foretold the man’s victory!

The Pelican villagers thought that things like warriors, prophecies, and wars were far from them. They just wanted to find a warrior and lead the war to victory.

But who knew? Nobody knew there would be a warrior in a small, insignificant Pelican village with less than 50 people living there. Not even Isabella who was with the warrior, nor Isabella’s father, or the warrior himself knew.

Chase was a prophetic warrior.

A place dark in the morning and bright at night. He was talking about our village, where fireflies shine brightly, and flowers bloom only at night.

The villagers thought Chase would be a great wizard or knight. He’s never lost a sword fight and he’s the only one in town to feel mana. But I didn’t know he was a warrior, not a wizard or a prosecutor!

Everyone was honored and worried that the Prophetic Warrior had come out of town. How can a 16-year-old child save the world? What if Chase gets seriously injured on the battlefield? What if he dies?

I yelled at Chase, What kind of warrior are you? You’ll die as soon as you go to battle! Instead of saving the world, you will destroy it!

As a child, I was always harsh on Chase. I joked around and said mean things. I didn’t want my feelings to be found and I resented Chase for liking Isabella.

Besides, if you become a warrior, you can fight and die, and you won’t see it until you save the world. That’s how I hurt him in the end.

Despite everyone’s concerns, Chase decided to become a warrior. I still vividly remember him following the paladins as if he was being dragged.

I held back my tears in front of Chase and cried my eyes out when I got home. Grandma clicked her tongue, saying it was stupid.

A lot happened after the kid left. A lot has happened beyond description.

Grandma Sam, the only family member, passed away, and Isabella prepared for the medical examination to follow Chase. Rachel followed her father and became a merchant saying, what kind of madman are you in the era of war? The strong men of the village were taken as soldiers.

And I was stuck. I was hanging on to my first love.

Chase came into my dreams every night. As I made his favorite potato stew and ate it, I could hear his cheerful laughter. I tried to give up Chase several times, but it didn’t go my way.

Yeah, how could I forget him. Lovely curly hair and ruby-like eyes. Sun-tanned skin. Always considerate of others, kind to everyone, and laughs like a fool even when I speak bitterly.

While I was living in the village, I occasionally heard news of Chase.

Genius prosecutor. Humanity’s hope for victory on every battlefield. A hero who will save the world.

As I listened to stories like that, I used to pray for Chase to not get hurt again.

One day Chase came back to our village.

He looked quite different from when he was young, but I recognized him at a glance that he was Chase. I almost burst into tears as soon as I saw Chase.

It was because I was happy to see him after a long time, but there was something about him, he was like, like, a corpse.

It’s like he hasn’t slept in days. He looked as if he didn’t feel anything, and his eyes were lifeless.

Like someone who’s about to die…. Chase was dying.

Where is the boy who smiled brightly as if he had gathered all the light in the world? Probably died on a battlefield where life was fleetingly disappearing.

Chase was on a break for a while and came back home. The night Chase came, the villagers threw a small celebration party.

They gathered at his house and celebrated it quite grandly, but Chase didn’t seem to have any interest in the party. He just looked for Isabella as if she was the lifeline.

I was going to talk to him when I saw him, but I stopped. I’m sure Chase still loves Isabella terribly, just as I still love Chase.

While in town, Chase decided to stay at Isabella’s. It was natural. They’ve lived together since they were young.

During the party, Chase and Isabella went home and I followed them. I followed them home like a stalker and sat by the window watching them secretly.

Why? Maybe I wanted to watch him like this. Chase and Isabella talked about how they had been without each other. And for the first time, I saw Chase burst into tears.

I’ve never seen anyone cry so sadly. An unimaginable story is starting to emerge.

The story of someone who decides to become a warrior for the sake of a loved one, the story of a young boy who meets a gruesome death on the battlefield for the first time, the story of a blessed soldier who returns to the past, the story of a hero who survives hundreds of times and achieves victory, the story of a devil who never dies, and a story of a hero who wishes to die.

God’s prophecy is absolute. It will come true whether you want it or not. So the warrior won’t die until he kills the demon king. For ever and ever

By the time I heard the story, I realized I was crying. I also heard Isabella crying.

How many times has he died so far? I prayed every day for him to not get hurt and not to die, but Chase was dying every day.

Why did God choose you as a warrior? Why is it bothering you so much? You deserve to be happy.

As I was crying with bated breath, I heard a scream. followed by a terrible smell of blood.
