"Something? Are you sure that it is not a person?" Jack asked with a frown on his face.

"I don't know. The vice supreme leader always says that it is something. As for whether it is a person and not something, that is not something that I know. I have never seen it in the first place." Ken replied hurriedly.

Jack fell into deep thought as he began thinking about the matter. Initially, he had thought that perhaps with a clue from the Panthers organization, he would be able to get the traces of his mother.

But now, it seemed that there was something wrong. After all, if the Panthers organization actually found something rather than a person, then, that implied that it was not his mother.

But still, the matter of talking about finding someone, that was not how Jack thought it would be. It had to be more complex than that. After all, finding someone and capturing them might make sense. But, what kind of information would they be wanting from the Jesda family, in order to utilize whatever they had found?

"Other than in the investigation that you did, have you ever seen someone that looks like me anywhere?" Jack questioned after some thought.

He could clearly remember that during the time that he met with Erick, he had claimed that Jack looked like someone. So, that implied that, Erick might have seen his mother somewhere.

"No. I have never seen anybody that looks like you other than after we had been sent over." Ken replied.

Jack turned his gaze and looked at the other two, but the response was the same. As for Doris, even before she was asked anything, she simply shook her head. She was not willing to undergo any kind of torture anymore.

Jack fell into another moment of contemplation. It seemed that Erick was the only person that had seen his mother. Of course, there was a possibility that Erick had seen his aunt Anita, but, it did not make sense considering that the reaction that he was having was quite strange.

'It seems that I will have to look deeper into this matter. Anyway, I will have to start my investigation in the Panthers organization. They are the ones that possess much clue that relates to the Jesda family.' Jack thought to himself.

Considering the fact that the Jesda family actually possessed some interactions with the strongholds, then, that implied that, they might have some clues about where his mother had been going to during the time that she was present.

Although Jack would have really wanted to kill all these people, he decided against it. After all, they had not done anything that deserved death. At least, they had not succeeded in the kidnapping. Otherwise, if they did something like that, then, Jack would not have hesitated to kill them.

Moreover, due to the fact that they came over to look for information, that implied that, they did not come with the intention to kill. After all, if they really wanted to kill someone, then, they would not have made a deal with Nathan. Instead, they would have simply taken him to the stronghold, asked him for the information, before throwing him away.

Just like how he could summon the puppets, Jack decided to take out four contract forms. All of them obviously appeared in this pocket, folded. As for the special pen that he was given by Samantha, he always made sure to carry it around with him.

Taking them out, Jack wrote that this group of four was supposed to help him in his investigation during the time that he went to the stronghold. They were supposed to begin the investigation after they went back there.

Moreover, they were supposed to do as he asked them to. They had to make sure that they would always be positive to all those that he cared about, not daring to harm or threaten them.

As for what happened here, they were supposed to claim that there was a force that was way bigger than the Panthers organization, that had come over and prevented them from succeeding.

Of course, Jack was not willing to have another group of people coming over to disturb the peace of the people that he cared about. For that reason, he had to look for a better solution than this. But, that was something that he was going to take care of after he went to the stronghold.

After he had written everything down, Jack took the contract forms and gave them to the four. "Sign them if you want to go back alive. If you refuse, then, I'm going to kill you right now." Jack stated indifferently.

Although the four felt reluctant, they had no choice. They were currently facing a superhuman. And in front of a superhuman, if the superhuman decided to kill them, there was no way that they were going to prevent her. So, they could only take the contract form and read through what had been written there.

But, after they had just read a little about what Jack had written, they felt their faces go pale.

"Isn't this trying to tell us that we are supposed to betray our organization? There's no way that I'm going to do that. The organization has done a lot for me…" John threw away the contract form and began shouting indignantly.

But, before he could even finish what he was saying, Jack attacked. He had said something, and he was going to implement it.

Gaah!

John collapsed onto the ground holding his throat tightly. But, no matter how much he tried, he could not breathe. Jack had attacked him by a punch to the throat. This way, he had broken the trachea, completely disrupting John from breathing.

"If there is anyone else that thinks that I am joking, you can go ahead and try me. I will be more than willing to deal with you." Jack stated coldly.

The other three felt their bodies trembling. They had never expected that Jack was actually going to kill just as he had said. Looking at John who was having a difficult time breathing, they knew that it was not a joke that Jack was making.

So, without any hesitation, they all pricked their fingers before dropping a drop of blood onto the contract form. And just like it had happened before, the contract forms disintegrated into smaller pieces that were shining with golden light.

Thereafter, they divided into two, with one group charging into the forehead of the person that had signed the contract, while the other one headed towards Jack.

"What is that?" Celine asked in surprise. This was the first time that she was seeing something as magical as this. She had been observing from the side, and she saw as the contract form disintegrated into pieces.

"That is how the contract form works. As for why it does that, that is not something that I know. But what I'm sure about is that, this is beyond science." Jack stated. He had already signed a contract before with Samantha, so, he was not new to this.

"Oh. I guess we can see things like this after we go to the stronghold. I'm looking forward to it." Celine stated. Just thinking of the strongholds, she was feeling that they were delaying too much. She could not help but want to rush there immediately.

The three people on the ground knew that currently, they had already turned into slaves for Jack. So, there was no need for them to continue grumbling about this and that.

This was a matter of life and death. So, currently, even though it was akin to betraying their organization, it was way better than dying here. At least, if they went back to the organization, then, perhaps there might be a method that they could utilize to get rid of the contract.

Of course, that was something that they knew to be an impossibility. But, they still held some hopes. After all, if it was true that the contract could only be canceled if two parties agreed at the same time, then, there would have been many consequences coming with signing the contract.

Additionally, the group of three could not understand why Celine claimed that if they went to the stronghold, they would be able to see things like those. Weren't they supposed to have been seen a lot of things like that?

After the contract was signed, Jack completely ignored the three and the corpse of John who had already passed away. He had already decided to let them go back to the stronghold. As for him, since they were currently here, he had decided to go and pay his aunt a visit.

"Let us go and pay aunt a visit while waiting for Samantha to wake up." Jack stated. As for the five puppets, they retreated. They were supposed to make sure that nobody attacked Jonathan and his family.

"Okay." Celine replied before carrying Samantha. For her who was a superhuman, it was an easy task for her to carry Samantha, considering that even Samantha herself was not heavy.

***End of Flashback***

"Oh, so that is how it was." Samantha finally understood everything after Celine had described to her what happened.

At the same time, she could not help but feel that she was lucky. Despite the fact that she had targeted Celine, Jack did not do much to her. Considering the way that he always behaved, if anyone threatened Celine, then, that person was bound to die.

For sure, she was the only person that had targeted Celine, but she was left alive. That was of course deciding to forget about Alicia because she left simply because she had someone with her that was capable of protecting her.

But, the grudge that Jack had against her had not ended. From what Celine had told her, it seemed that if Jack ever met with Alicia, then, he was going to kill her.

'I guess I was lucky.' Samantha thought to herself.

"Now that you are awake, I guess we can go back. Jack has said that I don't need to get much involved into the companies because we are not going to need them anymore. So, we can leave the matters of management and so on to others, as we prepare ourselves to go to the strongholds." Celine stated as she led the way out of the room.

"What stronghold are we going to?" Samantha asked.

"The one that you are from of course." Celine replied nonchalantly before leaving. Of course, she did not see the complicated expression that was on Samantha's face.
