Hunter: Tonight, Germain joins the hunt

Chapter 73 Abengani doesn’t want to get rid of Germain’s thoughts

On the morning of March 9th.

Germain sat by the jade-like lake, bent down and stared at his face in the sparkling waves, shaving carefully with a razor.

The practice was over, and it was time to bid farewell to my unkempt self, but from an outsider's perspective, it looked like committing suicide by the lake.

The dazzling beard was shaved clean by the blade of a knife, and the originally beautiful and young appearance was like a cooked egg white after being peeled, smooth and delicate.

He put away the razor and stood up from the lake. Like a flag rising in the spring breeze, he entered the wooden house unhurriedly, packed his bags calmly, and then walked out again.

In fact, there was not much luggage to speak of. The backpack was as dry as a dried oyster.

However, the friends made a lot of friends.

The "cats" in the mountains seemed to have predicted in advance that German was about to leave and would probably never come back. They all came out of the bushes, behind big trees, and around the corner of the trail.

They gently rubbed their heads against Germain's thigh, memorizing his scent and leaving their own scent on him.

Germain knelt down and stroked their hair one by one.

"Let's go, take care of yourselves." He said firmly.

Germain tightened the slack straps of his backpack and left along the path with the big cat and kitten watching and humming.

He came to the road outside and found the bus stop where he came from. He took a bus here and went to the nearby town - Martin Town.

After breakfast, Germain received a text message on his phone.

"Mr. German, I have arrived at Martin Town. Where are you? I will go find you."

Germain reported the location, and soon the dark-brown-skinned mind-killing master Abengani appeared in front of him.

"Long time no see, Mr. German."

"haven't seen you for a long time."

Abengane looked at Germain. He hadn't seen him for more than a month. He was still wearing the simple black hunter's robe, his eyes were sharp, and it seemed that he hadn't changed much.

But the hunter's intuition told him that Germain had changed and became more dangerous, the kind of hidden danger.

When there is a real threat, the dagger will pierce out from under the thin cloth, showing its unparalleled sharpness.

Abengane was both thankful and regretful.

Fortunately, he did not escape and avoided the worst result of his confrontation with Germain. Regrettably, if he had not contacted Germain at the beginning, he might not have had to worry about it later.

"Let's find a suitable place." Germain still remembered Abenga Niechunian's needs, "You need to be surrounded by woods, with birds singing and the fragrance of flowers, right?"

"Yes." Abengane nodded a little uneasily, "The forest spirit bless me and bless you."

"Then let's go to the woods over there."

Germain spotted a place that seemed quite secretive and took Abengane there first.

Abengane was mentally prepared before following behind and getting into the woods.

They found a flat area with no one else around except the shadows of the trees.

It must be said that Germain has a good eye, and Abengani admitted that he found a good place that met his needs.

Abenganieh began to arrange the ritual of removing the memory, set up a small bonfire, and bursts of green smoke rose slowly.

He took out the ablation doll and looked at Germain: "I'm ready, are you ready?"

"I'm available anytime." Germain moved a little closer.

So, Abenga Nie cheered up and started chanting a mantra. He stared closely at the billowing smoke in the bonfire, and finally saw groups of black shadows moving around.

Coming...one, two, three, four...five.

Abenga Niemo counted once, and then silently again, somewhat incomprehensibly.

Four minus one, why does it equal five? How long has passed since then, and two more embodied mind beasts have appeared.

Abengane found that his hunch was correct. As long as he continued to eliminate Germain's thoughts, he would see more and more thought beasts in the bonfire.

Damn...it all exudes an ominous aura, as if it will wrap around him in the next moment.

Abengane never wants to be entangled with such a mind beast. Coexisting with him for a period of time will be a nightmare.

"Help me get rid of that one." Based on his intuition, Germain pointed to one of the "Scarlet Mind Beasts" and said, "We'll talk about the other one later."

Abengani nodded with difficulty as if accepting his fate: "Okay. My eradication of thoughts has begun."

After a while, the "Scarlet Nian Beast" symbolizing "photophobia" was eliminated. Abengane quickly drove the other Nian Beasts back and extinguished the bonfire.

He was still in shock, but after he breathed a sigh of relief, he seemed to have a bad cold. The cold made him hold his body with his hands, looking very pitiful.

"Mr. Germain, my work is over."

Germain materialized the "Hunter Badge" and confirmed the remarkable results: "Thank you. I have transferred the money to your account. I will contact you again in a month. So, goodbye."

He was not familiar with Abengane and had no intention of staying and chatting. After nodding to Abengane, he walked straight away, quite like a scumbag who just picked up his pants and left.

Abengane hesitated to speak, and finally could only watch as Germain's back disappeared from his sight.

It’s okay to leave, it’s okay to leave.

Although he had indeed said before that it would take at least one month for him to recover in order to remove his thoughts, but one month was actually quite tight.

He was forced to make this choice.

Abengane needs to be fully prepared physically and mentally. One month is too much.

He secretly thought that he would let German go this time, and next time he would fight for his own rights and interests.

As Germain walked along the edge of the road, he dialed the phone.

He was actually interested in the content of the text messages Hisoka sent previously.

Soon after, the call was answered.

"Is it Germain?" Hisoka's signature thick voice came, "It's really not easy to contact you."

“What do you mean by ‘identity of interests’ before?” German tried.

"The interests are the same. The interests are the same." Hisoka chuckled a few times, "You are really bold, you actually want to replace him and become the leader of the Phantom Troupe."

Germain did not explain, and it was in his interest not to explain.

"However, I am similar to you." Hisoka smiled, "I have been looking for opportunities to fight Chrollo alone, but it is just too difficult."

"For example, during this underground vault robbery, there were at least two guards around him from beginning to end. After the activity disappeared, he completely disappeared."

"Germain, look, I want to have a big battle with Chrollo, but I have never seized his opportunity. If you and I cooperate, the situation will be different."

Hisoka revealed his plan.

"I will say that I have successfully found you, persuaded you to change your mind, and asked to meet with Chrollo. As long as Chrollo agrees, he will appear in front of us."

"However, he will probably bring at least two more group members with him, right? Then, as long as you help me lead the group members away, I can catch Chrollo's tail."

"When the time comes, I have fulfilled my wish and you have fulfilled yours. This will be a wonderful thing for both of us."
