Chapter 25

I opened the door of the tea ceremony club.

Then, unable to believe the sight in front of my eyes, I closed it again.

When I rechecked the nameplate, it was clearly marked as the tea ceremony.

“…I must have seen it wrong, right?”

– I think you saw it properly.

“…It can’t be….”

I can’t believe it.

I took a deep breath and slowly opened the tea room door again.

The room itself was a cozy space.

I thought it would be a cute hideout if they decorated it well.

Of course, that was a story when it was well-decorated, and what was in front of me right now was not the insolvency of the tea ceremony club but the appearance of a storm that had swept through it.

All sorts of papers filled the tables and sofas.

Unknown books and writing instruments, as well as items such as robes and umbrellas, were rolling around.

The only thing that was still in good shape was the cabinet in the wall, which held neatly arranged tea leaves.

In other words, except for the cabinet, nothing was in order.

I looked at the poor room where there was no place to step and enter and grabbed the back of my neck without realizing it.

“How in the world did it get this dirty—?”

No, more than that, didn’t they even think to clean it up?

I don’t know who the club members are, but I can’t understand them.

First of all, I tried to find out why Theo joined the tea ceremony club by searching the club room—.

“I can’t find anything in a thing like this.”

Even one step forward leads to chaos.

This is like finding a needle in the sand.

“Haa…”

I can’t help it.

Let’s separate the ones I checked once.

First, I found a suitable basket and trash can and dragged it aside.

The obstructive robes and Deathwise were neatly arranged by the entrance.

And I rolled up my arms.

“Let’s do it…!”

The first thing that catches my eye is, of course, the pile of papers on the desk and sofa.

As I heard, most of them were important documents such as applications for purchasing equipment, purchase receipts, and details of club activity expenses.

It’s a relief that it’s all gathered on one side.

A few sheets fell on the floor, so I collected them all and put them in a basket.

Of course, with this one, I ran out of space in the basket, so I brought another basket back.

Only three minutes had passed before the dust began to rise.

There were no windows on the first basement floor, so I first turned on the ventilation fan.

When I looked further, there was a magic tool that purified the air in the corner, so I turned it on immediately.

The air is finally getting better.

Then, the objects that fell on the floor were checked and sorted.

Robes and activity clothes of unknown owners were gathered in one basket, books were neatly placed on the bookshelf, and dusty household items and tableware were soaked in water.

On the desk, all of the writing tools were put together, and I put umbrellas and other small things in their right places.

When sweat started to drip from my forehead, I finally cleaned up the mess.

In the meantime, I used the broom and mop I found to sweep and mop the floor lightly.

“Phew…”

By the time I wiped the sweat from my forehead, the floor was glossy.

There are still some unsatisfactory parts because it was simply organized, but it has become much cleaner.

Now let’s find the information I wanted to find comfortably—.

Click!

Someone with a wide hat came through the open door without any sign.

Meryl grabbed the doorknob and stared at me with her bright green eyes wide open through her light brown bangs.

Why is that kid coming out of here?

Without a moment to panic, Meryl asked in an exasperated voice.

“That dirty insolvency overnight…!’

So you knew it was dirty.

If I look at that reaction, I think Meryl is also part of a tea ceremony club.

When I think of the setting book—there was also a setting where she likes tea.

Actually, the tea ceremony club itself didn’t appear in the game, so I don’t know the details.

“Did you do it?”

Meryl strode over and asked.

Couldn’t she just clean up on her own?

No, judging from the reaction, it doesn’t seem like that.

It’s weird not to clean up after seeing the serious situation in the first place.

I nodded proudly.

“Thank you. I was determined to clean up someday, but you helped me like this…!”

“Didn’t you clean it up even though you knew about it?”

“I cleaned it up. I cleaned it up two weeks ago… It’s just that the club head messed up.”

Well, the root of all evil is the head of the club.

I don’t know who it is, but I don’t really want to meet that person.

“Thanks to that, the need for deep cleaning is gone. Really…Oh, what brings you here? After all the clubs.”

“It’s just a whim. It’s been a while since I came out.”

“I thought you just left because you didn’t say anything for more than a month.”

“Ahaha…”

Maybe Theo didn’t have much interest in the tea ceremony club itself.

Still, based on Meryl’s reaction, tea ceremony club activities are not particularly compulsory.

Because of her personality, if I had missed an event that I had to attend, she would have asked me every time she met me face to face—the activity itself would be free.

“Do you want to have a cup of tea while you’re here today?”

“Of course. If you don’t come out for too long, it seems like it will be processed without even a mouse or a bird knowing.”

Anyway, the only thing to do after this is to check the easter egg.

When it comes to the activities of the tea ceremony club, it is natural to enjoy tea leisurely.

There is nothing closer to a peaceful life than this, so I readily agreed.

“Then sit down. Since you cleaned it, I’ll take care of the tea. Oh, club head Kane said she was a little late today because she had work, so you don’t have to worry about it.”

Meryl, who had taken off the robe, said lightly as she headed toward the pantry.

Hmm, the club head’s name is Kane.

Kane, Kane—.

Wait a minute.

“Are you saying Kane…?”

“These are the Casas tea leaves I got this time. The scent is stable because of blending.”

Meryl placed a luxurious teacup in front of me.

When I carefully lifted it up and smelled it, there was a unique scent of black tea that was hard to describe.

Pause

Unmute

It is lighter than the Ruo tea leaves Edmund gave before, but it only stands out that much.

I will be able to enjoy it comfortably as it is.

“It smells good.”

“Right? It’s something I’ve been struggling to find. It’s comforting to see you enjoying the tea.”

Meryl also sipped her black tea while sitting.

For a moment, only the aroma of black tea floated around.

“Oh, come to think of it, I also have a tea leaf. Shall I bring it?”

“Then isn’t it good? What kind of tea is it?”

“Ruo.”

It’s something I got from Edmund forcibly.

I put it in the dormitory for now, but— I don’t really enjoy tea, so I can’t get my hands on it.

In that case, it would be appropriate to bring it to the tea ceremony club.

Just by looking at Meryl, she will use it better because she is more interested in teas than I am.

“W, what do you mean Rou tea leaves…”

I know that it is high-quality tea leaves.

Still, Meryl stuttered like a broken robot more than I expected.

Anyway, let’s bring it next time.

That’s not the problem, of course.

Of course, that’s not the problem.

I never thought the head of the tea ceremony club was Kane—.

What happened was that Theo Agrit set a new record of 0 points for all subjects as the demon sword user, an extra who didn’t appear in the main story, and an acquaintance of Kane.

I never thought I would hear that name here.

That’s right, Kane is—.

“…Are you listening?”

“Ah, sorry. I was thinking about something else for a second.”

“Anyway…”

What did she say while I was lost in thought for a moment?

Meryl interrupted and sipped the tea for a moment.

After a while, she added unexpectedly.

“You, you seem to have changed a bit, don’t you?”

“Me?”

“Yeah, it’s hard to say exactly, but you have changed.”

He must have changed.

Because I’m not Theo Agrit.

In the first place, I didn’t know what kind of person Theo Agritte was.

Is that why?

I replied reflexively.

“How did it change?”

“Uhm… At the beginning of the semester, you gave off a lot of auras about not wanting to get involved with others. When others talk to you, you rarely answer, and you don’t even talk to them first. So I was surprised at the time you answered when I asked you to submit your assignment.”

At that time, was Meryl’s reaction just surprised that I answered?

No, more than that, how did Theo live his life? Does his answer surprise people?

“Did I…?”

“Since you signed up for the club and never came, I never imagined that we would be able to sit and enjoy tea together like this.”

When I give a vague answer, Meryl gives me a light answer.

However, I agree with her to some extent.

I never thought I’d have such a casual conversation with Meryl.

Theo Agrit is an extra who left without even appearing properly in the main story.

Meryl is a supporting character who doesn’t have a single right weight, even though she appears in the main story.

Either way, they’re the ones I never would have imagined facing.

But since I’m enjoying my time with tea like this—it feels different.

“I feel the same way.”

“I won’t ask what made you change your mind.”

“Yeah, thank you.”

I can’t answer even if you ask!

Who can say that it looks like a person has changed because the contents have changed!

Anyway, I can only appreciate Meryl’s consideration.

I enjoyed the scent of black tea a little more and even added snacks I found while cleaning.

Let’s enjoy it this time—suddenly, memories of the past come to mind.

This is all because of Theo.

Even though I still don’t know what kind of personality he has, Thanks to Meryl’s story, it gave me a rough idea.

He’s trying not to have people around and ruining things on purpose.

It was similar to me in the past—and slowly, memories of the past started to come back.

Saying that I don’t need sympathy, I threw out people who wanted to be around me, and with a repulsive feeling that I was the only one having a hard time, I even ruined my grades.

Well, just thinking about it makes my stomach ache.

Let’s pour the dark history into black tea—.

“By the way, it’s kind of weird to ask now, but—what happened to the letter?”

“I delivered it well.”

Leon’s letter that Meryl had.

At the time, it was a letter from a bachelor’s side, so I wondered why Meryl had it, but the question was just solved.

“That letter, Senior Kane asked for it, right?”

“That’s right. She told me that it came from the academy, and Kane entrust it and disappeared.”

That’s her reaction.

“I lived because you helped me. I was especially busy that day.”

“Well, we should live by helping each other. By the way, Kane is very interested in Leon.”

“Yeah, as expected, wouldn’t that be the case? I think it’s—”

Click!

The poor door opened wide for the second time today without any sign.

The person who entered was a tall female student with red hair tied together like a burning flame.

“Oh, sorry. I’m late!”

Her voice, which was even louder, reminded me of a flame somewhere.

With her robe loosely tied around her waist, she casually entered the room and looked around with admiration.

“Oh! Meryl, did you clean up?”

“I didn’t. Club Head, Theo did it all.”

“Theo, Theo… ah! You’re a ghost member! Why did you come out!?”

The Club Head, Kane, who had approached quickly, stood in front of me.

The red eyes, which looked like her hair, stared at me.

I greeted her lightly without avoiding her gaze.

“I just want to come out. Long time no see. Senior Hilfenberg.”

“There is nothing formal. Just call me Senior Kane!”

It is true that there is a strange sense of distance to do so.

Kane and Hilfenberg, because if I put the two together, it’s Kane Hilfenberg.

That’s right, the head of the tea ceremony club and this girl in front of me—.

She is the non-blood older sister of Leon Hilfenberg.
