: Street fighting in Jingdong!

This was Xu Jin’s first time to participate in this kind of urban street fighting.

Most of the guard soldiers, including him, were former soldiers of the Southern Wa State Army, and they had at most fought several times in the jungle with the remnants of the Southern Shan State Army and the Mongolian-Thai Army.

However, they soon adapted to this kind of urban street fighting.

The soldiers of the Red Police Corps have a lot of combat experience and are well-equipped. Various drones and rocket launchers have an absolute advantage in street fighting, and they also have fire support from the air.

They, the soldiers of the militia guard, only need to cooperate with the soldiers of the Red Police Corps to launch attacks on the neighborhoods where the enemy is entrenched, or form a longer front to surround the enemy.

Basically, the enemy forces they encounter will collapse quickly. Even if some enemy forces rely on their strongholds to resist tenaciously, they will soon be bombarded by 155mm howitzers from the rear.

There was even air support from Intruder attack aircraft and Mi-24 gunships.

Under such circumstances, the battle in Jingdong City was almost one-sided.

The troops of the 141st Infantry Division of the Eastern Shan State Militia in the southern and eastern suburbs of the city came under fierce attack, and the fighting has begun to spread to the southern urban area of the city and the edge of Jingdong Airport.

As time passed, under the non-stop transportation of the Nightingale transport helicopter brigade of the Red Alert Corps.

Troops from the Red Police Corps are rushing to the Jingdong battlefield to join this battle.

Including two red police light infantry battalions and nine militia guard battalions, the total strength increased to more than 4,000 people.

And after a series of crossing mountains and ridges, the Grizzly tanks and multifunctional infantry fighting vehicles of the Red Police Corps also rushed to the front line from Route 4 and began to gradually join the battlefield.

As a local infantry division, the 141st Infantry Division does not even have a tank, only a dozen old armored vehicles that have been eliminated by the government army.

After Grizzly tanks and multifunctional infantry fighting vehicles entered the Jingdong battlefield, they exerted their powerful advantages in urban street fighting.

The 141st Infantry Division of the Burmese Army has limited anti-tank weapons. Even if some soldiers risk their lives to reach a few hundred meters away and fire RPG rocket launchers, it will be difficult to penetrate the frontal armor of the Grizzly Tank.

The best way to deal with armored targets is to strike from the air, followed by using one’s own armor to oppose the enemy’s armored targets.

Finally, there are RPG rocket launchers and portable individual anti-tank missiles.

But for the 141st Infantry Division of the local troops, anti-tank missiles are not something they can afford.

When using an RPG rocket launcher, you not only need to hit the weak areas of the armored target, but you also have to worry about the infantry fighting together with the armored target.

Night gradually fell.

Xu Jin commanded his guard infantry to follow a Grizzly tank and a multifunctional infantry fighting vehicle, and cleared the three surrounding streets.

On the streets, there are guard soldiers and red police infantry armed with rifles, working together with Grizzly tanks and multifunctional infantry fighting vehicles to advance.

In the low altitude, drones were hovering, reporting on any resistance targets that appeared.

Higher up in the sky, intruder fighter jets were roaring and circling, throwing several aerial bombs at the power station, completely paralyzing Jingdong City’s power system.

Jingdong City fell into darkness, and the civil power system was completely paralyzed. Ordinary people did not dare to rush to develop motors during this war, for fear of being targeted and bombarded.

The 141st Infantry Division of the Burmese Army did not dare to turn on the generator easily. After all, they now lost air superiority and the lights could easily attract enemy artillery fire.

So a magical scene happened in Jingdong City at night. On the dark plain, there were occasionally some stars and lights in the southern suburbs of Jingdong City. Those were the headquarters of the Red Police Corps and some defense facilities.

In the center of the city and the north of the city, it was plunged into darkness.

In a temple in a park in the northeast of Jingjing, the headquarters of the Myanmar Army’s 141st Infantry Division is set up here.

In the dark basement, the generator hummed, and the stuffy air made everyone restless.

Wu Mengtai walked back and forth anxiously. Since the air raid during the day destroyed the communication base station, they could only use telegraph network troops. This would be very inefficient, and the enemy’s offensive was too fierce.

Often when a line of defense was attacked and asked for support, his support message was sent out, and news of the lost position came from the front.

“Division Commander! The southern suburbs military camp has been lost, and the 421st Brigade has withdrawn into the Central Park area.” An officer came to Wu Mengtai and said in a deep voice.

Wu Mengtai looked at the map in front of him dullly.

Central Park is located in the center of Jingdong City, while the southern suburbs military camp where the 421st Brigade is stationed is on a hilltop seven kilometers away from the Central Market.

With the withdrawal of the 421st Brigade to Central Park, it marked that the enemy had controlled half of Jingdong City south of Central Park.

From the northern raid to now, Wu Mengtai has not received detailed information about the enemy. He doesn’t even know who attacked him.

“Hasn’t the military headquarters called back yet?” Wu Mengtai asked anxiously.

The enemy’s offensive was too fierce. In just one day, he lost half of the city. His troops suffered heavy losses. He didn’t know how many soldiers were still fighting, nor did he know how many enemies there were.

I have never fought such a useless fight. I felt like a child who was suddenly punched by an adult and then pushed to the ground and beaten.

Without military support, Wu Mengtai was not sure he could hold on for three days.
