I created Magic!

163 Mana Crystals

Taller!

Stronger!

Faster!

These were just some of the changes Davis could feel intuitively after becoming a first-circle wizard

Standing up from his lying position, Davis looked toward Elric in excitement.

"Amazing young master, I've never felt so good!"

Examining his body, Davis couldn't believe the changes that had occurred in his body.

"First off, I can feel the mana flowing within and around me like never before"

'Obviously, my mana sensitivity and affinity rate should have seriously gone up:

Forming a ball of thunder in his hand, Davis held it before Elric

"Not only that, it seems I'm able to manipulate and use lightning as long as it does not exceed my mana or the circles capacity"

"In other words, as a first-circle magician, I can only launch first-circle magic."

Saying this Davis quickly launched a pose getting ready to show Elric an example

"First-circle magic! Thunderball go!"

With Davis's shout, the circle that was inscribed within his heart projected itself onto his Palm

*Boom!*

And with its appearance, a small fist-sized ball of lightning appeared causing a semi-huge explosion as it made contact with the nearest chair

Seeing this, Elric couldn't help but twitch the corner of his lips

*Damn! I help him out, and the first thing he does after gaining power is destroying my office chair?*

"Not cool Davis, not cool"

However although he said so in his mind, The truth was that Elric was quite satisfied with the outcome

Not only that, the level of destruction made by Davis first level spell further assured Elric of one thing

"Ninth-circle wizards are gonna be damn powerful"

After all, according to Elric's calculation, the addition of each circle is meant to lead to a geometric rise in Mana input and output

According to blue star terms, since one or first-circle magic has the ability to destroy whole streets

Then a ninth-circle wizard should at minimum be able to destroy a continent with one blow.

Thinking of this, Elric who always yearned for power couldn't wait to become one immediately

At least after becoming a ninth-circle wizard he'd have some level of protection in the God-run world.

Unfortunately, that wasn't some things that could be achieved overnight

Constant hard work, blood, sacrifice, and research are the only ways to teach such a goal, and maybe even surpass it.

And obviously, Elric knew that too, as after the first few minutes of excitement, he quickly card himself down

"Davis, it's good to see you're in good health, and thanks for exploding my chair. It seems you've got quite the power now."

Looking at Davis in front of him, and looking at his chair in ashes, Elric decided to teach him a bit of a lesson

"Haha it's nothing like that, I'm still very weak compared to the young master"

"Why don't we talk about something else"

Sensing Elric's malicious intentions, with a somewhat embarrassed laugh Davis tried to divert the topic

Thankfully, there was something else to talk about, with Davis's words just now serving as a reminder

Looking at Davis who was nervously waiting for his next words, Elric decided to lighten his punishment once the talk was over.

Making this decision, Elric gave Davis a quick glance before speaking.

"Davis, I forgot to mention this, but while you've gotten the first circle, the bigger problems come next"

"First off, from the monsters we've encountered, I noticed that their cores seemed to contain different amounts of mana"

"Obviously there must be a ranking of some sort in the cores, maybe from low-grade mana cores to high-grade mana cores"

Listening to Elric's words, Davis's expression turned thoughtful as what Elric said made sense

Obviously, in this world where some magic beasts are associated with legends and myths

While withers cannot even defeat the weakest slime

Thinking about it now, since such a gab existed, wouldn't it ludicrous to assume that their cores were the same

Cores which could be said to be the source of their power

Realising this, Davis felt there was some truth in Elric's speculation.

With this in mind, his face turned serious as continued to vigorously listen to Elric's words

"Yes, not only do they have an increase in Mana, but those crystals seemed to contain a completely different magic circle within them"

"Due to this discovery, I used only the lowest magic circle in your right now"

"Just thinking about it, if the higher grade rune circles were the way to upgrade to a two-circle wizard and higher"

"Then what could be better than starting from the lowest and laying a solid foundation?" Said Elric.

Perhaps it was so Davis wouldn't feel bad, or perhaps Elric just wanted to explain his current situation to him

However one thing was certain, after hearing the benefits of starting from scratch, Davis felt better

After all, who wouldn't be mad when they heard they could start from the top but we're then giving the bottom

Obviously back then Elric could have inscribed a higher-grade magic circle as his first magic circle

With that done, Davis was sure that the power he could wield then would be maybe five to ten times his current strength.

Unfortunately, if that were to be done, what followed next would be nothing but trouble

Accidentally to Elric's guess, if the highest grade was used at the base magic circle at the start

Then subsequently there would be no other circles to add onto it

Meaning that Elric had unknowingly saved him from becoming a first-circle wizard for life.

Thinking of this, Davis at the moment was more than grateful to Elric

*Calp!*

"Alright Davis, that's enough of that"

"Currently we have a lot of things to study while the others are busy"

"After all, don't you want to shock George and Alvin when you're done?"

Fueling Davis's competitive Spirit, Elric summoned a heap of different-grade mana cores from his small world

Obviously, the next period of time was going to be one filled with serious research.
