I Reincarnated As A Minotaur In A Dungeon

Chapter 15 - Hello, we will kill us?

Astherios was wandering the stone corridors on the first floor of the dungeon as he had always been since he had left the stone room a month ago. In fact, the minotaur had turned that room into his "secret base" a place he always returned to train for, rest or if one day found an opponent too strong to fight, a haven where he could hide until the dust went down .

Unfortunately for the minotaur, he would have no chance to hide and flee that day. Although Gabriel was considered by many as a man who would fit completely into the role of a hero, he did not have a suitable personality for the role, for Gabriel was indeed a shrewd, ruthless, cruel man who would not hesitate even for a moment in use any trick at his disposal for victory, no matter how low.

And it was precisely for this reason that the man had gently convinced (using the two fists) two men to act as bait for the minotaur, he did not care about the risks men ran, or whether they would die by performing the bait function, he only cared to fulfill his mission efficiently and with the minimum of effort required and if two weak adventurers had to die for it to happen, whatever.

Henry was looking at his companion Samuel with an expression that could only be said as pure bitterness. When a famous adventurer like Gabriel the "Swift Sword" came to speak to him and his companion, the man had thought at the beginning that a great opportunity had fallen on his l.a.p. After all, even the rest that such an adventurer would leave behind was worth more than months of efforts by both men combined.

But when he learned that he and his companion were to act as baits for the infamous Death Messenger, he would refuse the request without even thinking, no matter how much he won, it would not be enough to buy a new life. And then he found that he was never given the option to say no.

And now there he was, walking through the dark, cold corridors of the first floor of the dungeon waiting at any moment for the messenger of death to arrived to separate his head from the rest of his neck. Why did Henry know that the adventurer who was hiding somewhere in the shadows would not try to save them.

"Do you hear that sound? "

~ Change of POV ~

Astherios was aware that his presence on the first floor of the dungeon was a nuisance to the adventurers and that the fact that many did not survive his encounter with the monster to bring the items back to town was probably bothering the town nobles and that would make them find someone to deal with the monster that bothered them. And the minotaur was eager for it, his abilities were stagnant at their current level simply because that was the limit he could come up with pure training.

He needed a strong opponent to be able to further improve his skills.

Then when the minotaur saw those two men who looked as if they had been sent to the death row (Which considering that the whole floor was made of stone corridors ... would make sense) and noticed that there was a presence hidden in the shadows behind them , Astherios knew that an worthy opponent at that time had arrived.

While pretending not to notice that someone was waiting to ambush him, the minotaur followed the same pattern as if it were another encounter with weak adventurers: He took one of the huge axes in his box of items and hurled it towards one of the adventurers , allowing the adventurer to be thrown to the ground before continuing the usual ritual, approaching step by step from his target. Letting the fear of death consume the thoughts of its victim.

While the other? Astherios would let him flee pathetically, screaming and screaming like a child to spread more rumors about the minotaur and spread fear. It was not as if he had not let others escape for the same reason.

But while the monster followed the same routine as always when hunting for adventurers, he expected the adventurer hiding in the shadows to appear. He needed a decent opponent.

~ Change of POV ~

Looking at the adventurer who had fled and the minotaur approaching step by step with the man he had knocked over, Gabriel could not help frowning slightly as he stared at the monster in front of him.

After venturing long enough into the dungeon, he had developed an instinct in dealing with monsters, an instinct that had saved his life several times before in other adventures. And at that moment his instincts screamed that he was about to face a dangerous adversary.

Firmly clutching the handle of his sword, Gabriel waited until the minotaur was about to withdraw the ax from his victim's body before attacking, and as soon as he saw the minotaur clutching the shaft of the ax, he kicked the ground to propel himself forward towards the monster, his sword pointed to the minotaur's throat

But when he was only a few feet away from the monster, his instincts made him immediately stop and retreat at the fastest speed he could. Thanks to that the ax that had appeared in the hand of the minotaur of nowhere reached one of the walls of the corridor, breaking it and sending several fragments of stone flying all around.

"Hello, we will kill us? "Hearing the minotaur's question, even knowing that the monster in front of him would hardly have human expressions, Gabriel could swear he was smiling. Smiling with excitement.
