Episode 32 – Day 2 Night ①

Back at the villa, I’m preparing for dinner.

It looks like we’re going to have a BBQ today, so the main thing to do is pre-cooking.

I was thinking about it as I was chopping vegetables.

Ugh, I’m suddenly conscious of something.

It’s never happened to me before.

But now I can’t help but think of their faces. It’s been a long time since I’ve felt this way.

I don’t think that I’m particularly fond of them or anything, but right now, I’m aware, or rather, I’m conscious of Natsuki and my sister.

Liking Natsuki is natural, but why even my sister….. I wonder.

“Hm I don’t know.”

“What don’t you know?”

“Whoa !”

When I said it out loud, Natsuki appeared from behind.

“It’s dangerous. Stop doing that when I’m holding a knife.”

“Sorry, sorry. …Is it fine if you don’t hold the kitchen knife?”

“Well……yeah. It’s fine.”

I gave my permission on the spur of the moment, but I wonder if it’s really okay.

Now that I’ve regained my feeling, I think I’m much more conscious than before.

I’m not sure if my heart would be able to handle it if she came to me like that every time.

“Come to think of it, you said something like [Nostalgic feeling] on the ferris wheel, what was that? ….Could it be a kiss?”

I certainly said something like that.

“No, that’s not it.”

“Then what was it? Tell me?”

Natsuki said so and tilted her head.

My heart startled unintentionally.

That kind of thing works better now than it did before. I couldn’t bring myself to say it, so I kept my mouth shut.

“If it’s something you don’t want to say, that’s okay. ……I’d like you to tell me if you can.”

“Hmm, I’m sorry. It’s not that something happened, but I’m embarrassed……”

“Hmm.”

Saying that, Natsuki looked down and seemed to be thinking about something, but she immediately looked at me and,

“I’ll help you with that.”

Said that.

Natsuki can also cook, and it would be more helpful if I had a little more manpower, so I decided to ask for help.

Thanks to Natsuki’s help, the preparations went much faster, so I decided to get everyone together and start the BBQ early.

“Well, I’ve never had a BBQ with everyone before, so I’m kind of glad.”

“Ishizaki, you’re so…….”

“Whoa, I had an image of Ishizaki kun as a cheerful guy, so I was kind of surprised.”

Well, if you look at him normally, it’s true that he looks like a cheerful guy, it’s because we’re close, and if it was someone else, he probably won’t be able to talk straight.

Continuing this story is going to get dark, so I change the subject and start grilling the meat.

“Look, let’s keep grilling. You must be hungry too, Ishizaki.”

Ishizaki looked at me with a sparkle in his eye as I started grilling the meat.

“Hey, Yuuki…can I have some of that?”

“I don’t mind, but there’s still plenty to go around, so there’s no need to rush. ….Don’t eat other people’s portions.”

“I know. Wow…..it looks really good.”

Saying that, Ishizaki started eating the meat. Or rather, I only saw him eating meat. I’m glad he wasn’t drooling.

Well, I think we should leave Ishizaki alone, so I turn the conversation to the other three.

“Keep grilling, everyone. If you don’t do it quickly, Ishizaki will take it.”

“Don’t worry. …Hey, can you grill it for me, Yuki?”

“Eh, ah, me too !”

Why me? Are you going to use me like a slave?

I don’t want to be overworked so I’m going to ask why.

“Why? You can grill it yourself.”

“I want to eat what you cook, Yuuki.”

“Yeah, that’s right !”

“Huh….? Well, fine, but let me eat it too.”

It doesn’t seem like it’s going to be tiresome so I’m going to grill for both of them for now.

I don’t know, but they seem kind of happy, so it’s okay.

…… maybe it’s because I’m good at grilling meat? I could be good at it, though.

Anyway, I’m going to cook the meat and give it to Natsuki and my sister.

Surprisingly, I started to enjoy grilling the meat and ended up grilling too much, but Ishizaki took it away.

I was going to eat it myself just in case, but I thought that if they would eat it, that would be fine, so I gave it to them as it was.

Ishizaki should eat his vegetables, I thought, but the women are eating it little by little.

Ishizaki really only eats meat.

“Segawa, go feed Ishizaki some vegetables. He only eats meat.”

“Eh? Yeah, I understand.”

I thought he would eat what he was given, so I decided to ask Segawa to do it.

I don’t want it not to be eaten.

I forgot to give the meat, so I brought it to them both.

“Here you go, meat.”

“Thanks, Yuuki. ….As expected. Perfectly cooked.”

“Mmm ! Sho hood !”

“Natsuki, don’t talk while eating.”

“Ng. I’m sorry. But it just looked so good.”

I’m glad I got praised, but I don’t think there’s any need to be in such a hurry.

Both of them ate quickly.
