Episode 50 – Saturday Afternoon Visit

As it was past 12:30, I prepared lunch for my sister and Riko, and we ate lunch.

“Thanks for the food. It was delicious.”

“Thanks, Yuuki Nii.”

“Glad you like it…it looks like someone came again.”

I thought this time Natsuki was coming, so I headed for the front door and opened it.

This time, too, there was a person standing there whom I didn’t want to see. The neighbor.

“Kagurazaka san, is something wrong?”

“Yuuki kun, our daughter has done something bad, hasn’t she?”

“Huh…”

The person that stood in front of me is Kagurazaka’s parents.

The person herself seems to be in a bad mood, but the parents’ fawning attitude is also unpleasant.

It’s not that I disliked Kagurazaka’s parents, either, so I was surprised that I felt uncomfortable this time.

I wonder if the reason they came here today is because they think she will be forgiven if they apologize.

“I know that girl did bad things to Yuuki kun–“

“Um, if you just came here to make excuses, could you please leave?”

Hearing more meaningless excuses will only make me more uncomfortable.

When I said that, Kagurazaka’s parents twitched their eyebrows, and their previously smiling faces suddenly turned serious.

“Enough. Let me just say what I want to say.”

“Make lunch for my daughter one more time. And also, dispel all the rumors.”

“Sigh…..she told me she didn’t want the lunchbox that I made in the first place, and I didn’t start the rumors.”

I denied everything that was said because I had no intention of listening to them in the first place.

Anyone can make a mere verbal apology, and Kagurazaka’s parents just want to restore their daughter’s reputation, but they don’t seem to think it’s her fault.

Why should I listen to such people?

“Don’t lie to me ! Otherwise, who else could have started the rumor !”

“Who knows, wasn’t there someone else who was jealous of her or something? She was always good-looking to begin with.”

“That’s why you’re suspicious ! You confessed your feelings to her, didn’t you?”

Kagurazaka’s father smiled at me in a mocking way as he said that.

“Yes, I did, but I hate her right now. I don’t even want to see her face, so please leave quickly.”

“To say such a thing. I think you still love my daughter, don’t you? Isn’t that why you spread rumors about her?”

“Huh?”

Kagurazaka, who was standing behind her father, also stared at him.

There’s now way. Even so, as much as I like her, I’m not obsessed with her.

How did he come up with that idea?

“I think you couldn’t give up on our daughter even after she dumped you and tried to get her to break up with Otori kun. Isn’t that why you took that way?”

“……Here’s what I’m going to tell you, I don’t care if she breaks up with Otori or not. I mean, I don’t think there’s any point in talking about it any further, so could you please leave?”

It was getting really tiresome and I wanted to get the hell back inside.

I don’t want to hear about their nonsense any further.

Kagurazaka and her parents glared at me once, whether they got angry at my stubbornness or if they gave up, they left.

I sigh heavily, and go back to the living room.

“What’s wrong, Yuuki?”

“No, it’s nothing. Just a salesman.”

I didn’t want to talk about them any longer, so I just passed it off with a reasonable lie.

“Rather than that, let’s do something. For a change of pace.”

“Yeah. Let’s go to bed…..”

“Rejected.”

“Yuuki Nii, let’s take a bath.

“Rejected.”

Both of them seemed dangerous, So I refused.

Then, both of them puffed up their cheeks exactly like each other.

“Yeah, yeah.”

I don’t know if it’s normal or not, but it was a lot more fun to spend time interacting like this, so I spent Saturday relaxing at home.
