I Will Conquer The World!

He could think of no reason that could make a system cry. After all, he wasn't even teasing her the past few days. Wait… was that the reason?

Maybe Rae was a masochist! Maybe that's why she was sad? That he had stopped teasing her?

Hearing her host's thoughts, Rae growled, "NO! I AM NOT A MASOCHIST!"

Afraid that her Host would come up with more ridiculous theories and reasons on why she would be sad, she explained in a meek tone, "Host… I have to tell you something… I lied to you…"

Harry titled his head slightly and asked, "Lied to me? What did you lie about? Ooh I know! Were you actually my waifu in my last life, and I died while saving the world? Is that why you changed yourself to a system and searched for me, to finally get together with the love of your life? Or maybe, am I just in a computer generated world regulated by AI's? Are they using me for harvesting energy from my brain? Are you here to get me out of this computer generated world?

Or or, is this an experiment staged by humans to see how a person would react when he is thrown into another world? Is this all a simulation? Am I just a brain in a box?

Oooh, maybe I'm just in a subpar novel! That's actually very likely! Am I the villain? Makes sense really.

Or-"

Rae interrupted her Host's endless rambling with one loud scream, "NO!"

Harry stopped talking and chuckled, after which he sat down on the bed and signalled for Rae to sit on the side of the bed too.

Rae obliged and sat down when Harry put his hand on her head and gently rubbed her head.

Harry remarked, "This is supposed to be a head pat to make you feel better, but you're a hologram and that makes this whole thing feel much weirder for me, like I'm just waving my hand midair."

Rae smiled softly and Harry continued saying, "Look, Rae. It doesn't matter if you've lied. I appreciate that you decided to confess about it and tell me the truth. Now, tell me, what happened? I won't get angry at you."

Rae sighed and said, "The demonic injectable doesn't actually remove their empathy and all. It replaces their soul with another soul which is completely loyal to you and has no baseline.

The rest all is true, they will have to consume one human per year, and they will gain physical and mental prowess that is the maximum which their body can gain.

The reason I lied to you was because I thought that you will not agree to use it, as using it is basically just killing them and replacing them with a robot that follows all your orders.

I thought that you may refuse, but I didn't want you to have no strong followers at all, and so I decided to lie to you and get the two brothers injected. I am really sorry…"

Rae started to tear up again.

Harry thought about what Ray said with a blank expression.

Looking at Harry's blank expression made Rae only tear up more, and just when she was about to apologize again, Harry broke into laughter, which shocked her.

After laughing heartily for a bit, Harry asked with a soft smile, "Oh Rae, you worry too much. I would have used the injectable anyway if you had just told me straight up what effects it had. Anyway, you can hear my thoughts and see my memories right? Why did you think that I'd be so righteous as to not use an opportunity that landed into my hands?"

Rae said while sniffling cutely, "Its true that I can see your memories and read your thoughts, but I mostly avoid reading your thoughts and have never touched your memories till now as I feel that that would be breaching your privacy, making you uncomfortable. I don't want to make you feel uncomfortable because of me."

Harry felt his heart go warm as he said with a smile, "That's so considerate. Ah Rae, I really am fortunate to get such a sweet and nice system like you. Don't worry about it. I'm not angry about you lying about the injectable. The demonic injectable has been very useful. Frankly speaking, I would have had to get rid of Arnold some time, be it now or in the future. I don't mind that he was scheming and manipulative, but he is not loyal to me, which makes things much more hard to me. Thanks for helping me get rid of him right now, Rae. There's just one request I have. Can you tell me the exact information about the demonic injectable? It's flaws and it's merits, I want to know all about it."

Rae smiled brightly upon getting to know that her host did not mind what she did. She felt lucky for having such an understanding host.

Upon hearing his request to get more information about the demonic injectable, Rae nodded furiously with stars in her eyes as she saw this as an opportunity to help her host and make up for the inconvenience she had caused.

She explained, "Host, you already know about it's flaws. But there is one condition that must be followed and that is, the demonic injectable should only be used on people who don't abhor evil, but have a baseline of their own. If it is given to people with no baseline who will do anything and everything for money and power, they will turn into evil incarnate and perform evil deeds just for fun. They will live to be evil. They will not have a reason for what they do.

If it is used on people with a righteous attitude, they will undoubtedly die. There are no excuses for that. They will die pitifully."
