Sowed (9)

He closed his eyes tightly and managed to clear his tingling vision. He poured cold water all over his desire.

Vlad struggled to open his eyes. A gray as hazy as ashes from the burning of trees looked at her. He raised the corners of his lips bitterly. “Not now, either.”

She was nearly on her deathbed due to a fever. As he watched, he wanted to slap himself.

Even thinking about it again, blood had cooled all over his body.

He himself could not tolerate it. He glanced at her tiredly and gently stroked her cheek. “For the time being, let’s focus on restoring your body. Are you still tired, Lily?”

The meaning behind his sentence was firm, but the tone was polite and soft. He had enough intentions to not want to offend her.

In the end, Lily had no choice but to agree. It was also pretty bad to tease her husband over this.

And just as he said, fatigue came like a tidal wave. It was difficult for him to ignore the aftermath of her illness.

Suddenly, a yawn came out. How cute was his yawning wife? He chuckled and laughed briefly.

As tears welled up in the corners of Lily’s eyes, he reached out and wiped them away.

Lily left his hand alone. “I know. Then I… Today, I will go back and rest.” She followed him all the way to the office, but she went back home untouched. She was a little embarrassed, but she knew that it was much better than overdoing it and lying down sick.

Recognizing her fatigue, Lily’s eyes widened.

Vlad looked at her complexion worriedly. “You can just rest in the bedroom nearby. It would be better than to go all the way back after you get well.”

“No. I’ll go back and rest. A familiar place is better.”

Vlad stared at her for a moment instead of answering her. A strange look stood out in his eyes.

“All right.” After he nodded, he took a coat and put it on her.

It was the perfect size for her.

Lily looked down at the robe and blinked. “Did you even have clothes like this? I think it would be too small for you looking at how it fits me well…”

He stiffened. He stood with his mouth shut but turned his head stiffly instead of answering.

Lily looked at him and blinked at his unexpected reaction.

He answered slowly in a slightly lowered voice, “…Your clothes fit. These are the clothes you wore here in winter when you first came here.”

Looking at him, unable to make eye contact with her, Lily suddenly realized that it was the robe she had left behind.

The day she did that. The robe she had worn the day when he taught her desires with that… absurd object.

He set Lily’s face on fire.

It seemed that the robe she had been wearing had remained here for a while.

The next day after a huge session with a fake phallus, coincidentally, a new robe her maid brought was also black. Thanks to that, she forgot for a moment.

“Oh, I didn’t know this was still here.”

“…I just put it here in case you came.”

Lily wriggled her toes, immersed in her reminiscences.

Vlad looked at her nervously. “Lily. That…” His lips were dry. It was a memory he did not want to recall again.

Wasn’t it an incredibly pathetic period of her believing that he was treating her as a plaything?

Even thinking about it again, his body trembled. He wiped his face once with his bare hand. He was afraid that she would remember again the time when each day ended in misery.

“You might as well change to a thicker coat. Let me bring my coat.”

Lily lifted her head with a smirk. “N-no. Your clothes are too big, so I’ll just wear this.” She unconsciously grabbed the front of her coat.

“It’s just a memory….”

Her face reddened again at the words that came out without realizing it. She licked her lips and bowed her head.

A strange silence fell between them.

“Okay, I’ll go back. I’m tired.”

“…All right.”

As if he was trying to see her off, he hurriedly raised his body. He stretched his long legs toward the doorway.

When she saw his back, Lily was relieved, and she followed him.

No matter how cool the wind was, both of them seemed to have completely forgotten that the weather was not cold enough to wear winter clothes.

Throughout her visit, Lily made excuses saying she shouldn’t take his time, and she hurriedly tried to send him back.

He whispered quietly to her, “It’ll even be okay for me to carry you. Lily.”

Lily snapped her mouth shut.
