Azreal propped her chin up on his c.h.e.s.t, "Can we stay here forever?"

Belial gave her a small smile, c.a.r.e.s.sing her cheek with his thumb. "If that's what you want."

Azreal leaned into his touch, sighing into his palm. "I wish it was that simple.".

Belial gently reached for her hand kissing each of her finger tips. "Did I hurt you?" His other hand tracing light circles on her back.

Azreal looked into his eyes, they were back to their normal dusky green. The soft light from the dimming sun filtering through the room caught on his thick ebony lashes. She bit her lip and thought 'Not enough', but said "Not more than I had expected."

Belial saw the words behind her eyes and gave her a predatory smile, "oh?".

His jet black strands were tucked behind a slightly pointed ear, the other side brushing over his collar bone. Her eyes went to the bow of his lips and stayed there as she replied, "I wouldn't say I'm too sore."

Azreal felt her core begin to tighten at the simmering look in his eyes. The hand on her back stilled as he asked, "Too sore for what, my love?".

Her toes curled and she couldn't help the simpering little smile that played across her lips. Azreal replied "You." As she faintly dragged her nails down his c.h.e.s.t, over his rigid abs, to his hip bone.

"My little vixen." He growled as he pushed up onto his elbows.

Sliding down she kissed the faint red lines her nails had left. One hand coming up to slowly stroke him as she kissed the tip of his erection. He was biting the inside of his cheek while she let her tongue run over his length before taking him into her mouth. Ever so slowly she let more and more in while her head bobbed up and down. He m.o.a.n.e.d her name and she could feel his fingers slide into her hair as he urged her on; she giggled lightly as she teased him. To her surprise he thrusted up into her mouth, his c.o.c.k hitting the back of her throat making her eyes water.

"Mmm" he grunted as he started railing his c.o.c.k in and out of her mouth, the hand in her hair forcing her to take it. Her nose was running and her jaw was getting sore, but he wouldn't let her come up. His movements were becoming erratic, thankfully signaling an end to this suffocation. Before he could c.u.m he let go of her head abruptly, Azreal pulled up gasping for air. Belial was already on his knees ready to pounce, pushing her on her back. Azreal inhaled sharply as she took in his eyes, fully given over to his demon. He gave her a menacing smile as he thrust into her.

She gasped out his name, trying to catch her breath as unleashed himself on her. His pace was torturous as he slammed in and out of her.

"You're so soft and wet." He g.r.o.a.n.e.d into her hair, Nimble fingers tracing over her n.i.p.p.l.e.

Azreal bit her lip as she felt herself coming undone, m.o.a.ning as her back arched off the bed. Belial braced his hands on the sides of her h.i.p.s to shift the angle, hitting her g-spot. Azreal couldn't contain herself any longer as she shook with the force of her o.r.g.a.s.m.

Belial kissed her roughly, devouring her m.o.a.ns as he said onto her lips, "Mmm, my little vixen likes it rough."

Azreal couldn't form coherent thoughts let alone words, all she knew was this deep ache for him and the need to claim him as hers. Wrapping her legs around his torso she pulled him down so his body was flat against hers as she opened her mouth wide, sinking her fangs deep into his shoulder. Belial g.r.o.a.n.e.d loudly as he came inside her, releasing a wave of power as they sealed the mating bond.

The room splintered and cracked, the wooden bed posts snapped as the goose down mattress hit the floor with a loud thump.

Panting, Belial shifted and pulled her onto his l.a.p. She felt light headed, almost drunk. She was lost for words, the best she could do was cling to him. Her power had risen up and swallowed her whole without her even sensing it. Her wisps of darkness floated around her smelling of tea leaves and sage. Belial took a deep inhale, like it was his first breath of fresh air in years. Lifting a hand he played with the curls of darkness as they wrapped around his finger. He chuckled giving her a small admiring smile. "You are truly amazing." He said, voice still low and husky.

Azreal let out a little sigh. "I wouldn't say that just yet." She didn't look at him, knowing the worry that was etched across his face. He placed a finger under her chin, making her look at him as he said "Whatever happens, whatever you choose to do. I will follow you through any plane of existence." And placed a tender kiss to her forehead, "You will not be alone." He whispered as he hugged her to his c.h.e.s.t.

Azreal's eyes filled with tears, her hand snaking around his forearm. "I cannot ask that of you." Her heart felt hollowed out. She knew she was destined to die, but she wouldn't see him hurt.

"Then I suppose its a good thing you weren't asking, because It's already done." He lightly brushed his fingertips over the mating mark on her shoulder. She supposed it was folly to try and reason with him at this moment, so she lifted her head from his c.h.e.s.t and looked to the small window set high in the stone wall. "The sun will be setting soon." Dread filled her, Belial had been a pleasant distraction, but it was time to face the music.

"Why are you so worried about what the witches will say?" He asked as she began spooling her magic back into herself.

"I had a bad experience when I was younger.." she trailed off, unsure how to explain what had happened.

Belial just looked at her expectantly, the only sign that he had heard her was his slow blink. She g.r.o.a.n.e.d loudly, rolling her shoulders. Her busy body of a mate wasn't going to give up, so she raised her palm to his cheek saying, "Let me show you." And closed her eyes.

She had been to the magistrates private seer, Mihr, many times as a child, she had loved to play games with the white haired goblin. Often bringing little sweets and making him tell her what was in them before they ate each one. That had all changed just before her twelfth birthday.

'A little girl dressed in her finest cream lace and lavender chiffon gown, was skipping up to the seers tower, excitement thrumming through her. Knowing the goblin preferred formal attire to her riding gear, the princess had even pressed her long obsidian hair. The child's hands nervously soothing the strands into place as she bounced up the cold stone stairs. A mousey brown haired servant girl dressed in the Sacris house colors of black and gold was following close behind to serve their mini sandwiches and deserts. Everything went as usual, Mihr greeting her with a deep bow, welcoming them into his entrancing study. That had been her favorite room, each wall lined with books and baubles. They were everywhere, an organized chaos of books, maps, and crystals. Mihr had cleared a decent sized table for them, had even thrown a light cloth over the top. Azreal had smiled at Mihr and his love for all things delicate and fancy. "Wow, I don't think i have ever seen so much clear space in here before." Azreal's high pitched child's voice had rung through the quite room, the only other sound was the silverware clinking together as the servant set up their table.

"It wouldn't do to have the princess set her teacup on a pile of books." Mihr smiled as he lightly bowed his head, inclining her to sit. He tucked in her chair, careful not to touch her. She had asked him many times to look into her future to see when or if she would ever get her angels wings, but he had always said "Your blood has power my dear, do not doubt yourself." And left it at that.

The servant had just finished setting up their sweets, "Thank you, Yerin, you may attend your other duties now." Azreal had said politely. Yerin had been her favorite lady in waiting, she had the softest touch with a comb.

Mihr thanked her as well and the girl bowed deeply to them before leaving the room. The two sipped their black tea with lemon and honey in a comfortable silence. Azreal picked up a diamond shaped pare tart that had been crusted with brown sugar and cinnamon.

"Your to be leaving for the summer castle any day now. Are there any books you would like to borrow?" Mihr asked, giving her a devious look. His feathery white eyebrows popping up, creating wrinkles on his forehead.

The great library had many wonderful books, but Mihr's books held power. Angels weren't supposed to use incantations or crystals, but Azreal figured as long as she didn't have wings she wasn't really an angel.

Azreal beamed at him, "Can i use the one with the fire sprite spell?" She asked sweetly. Last time she had used the sprites to burn up her sister's favorite dress after a particularly petty fight.

Mihr's shrill laugh pieced her ears, "Your father would be very upset with me if i lent you that volume again." He stood to run his short, pointed nails along the shelving, looking for something in particular. "Ah ha!" He exclaimed as he snatched the book from its place. "This book focuses on Earth energy, could be useful while exploring the tunnels, perhaps?" A half smile turning up his lips.

Azreal's youthful face glowed with excitement at the thought of breaking through entire stone walls. Mihr quickly snatched the book back giving her a warning look, "You mustn't go wandering too far into the tunnels with these spells, don't want you blowing up the foundation of the castle."

The child giggled and pressed her small fist over her heart showing her vow. Azreal gingerly took the tome, placing it on the chair beside her. She noticed he had finished off his tea and she grabbed the tea pot a bit too hard in her excitement and steaming hot tea flew from the spout, ruining the cloth and a couple pastries. Azreal stood abruptly trying to use her own cloth to wipe up her mess but ended up bumping the table to spill the rest of the tea in her own cup. Mihr whipped out a hand to try and catch her cup before it fell, Azreal doing the same. The cup landed in his hand, but hers was pressed to his.

The touch seared her skin and she screamed pulling back, the cup shattered to the floor. Mihr looked stunned, his eyes bulged from their sockets and his face had drained of color. He didn't seem to be breathing, but Azreal was afraid to touch him again. Just as the thought crossed her mind, Mihr doubled over and threw up blood wailing in pain. Azreal's tiny body shook, she was unsure of what to do and made to run into the hallway and call for help. As she stepped back the goblin's sharp claws splayed out, grasping her ankle. Azreal fell to the ground shreaking at the horrible searing pain that shot up her leg. Mihr face had turned ashen, his hair pulled up in all directions, blood dripping from his pointed fishes teeth. "DEATH, BLOOD, PAIN!" He screeched over and over, the high vaulted window burst inward and glass sprayed the room. Azreal kicked out blindly at her once good friend as she tried to escape. The wind was howling and whipping threw the room, Azreal had never seen anything like this from her dear friend. "STOP!" She sobbed, it felt like he was going to burn her all the way to her bone.

"KILL THEM! KILL THEM!" His screaming was turning incoherent as he thrashed on the ground. Tears streamed from Azreal's eyes as she kicked her closest friend in the face. Mihr let out a high pitched w.h.i.n.e as he grabbed for his bleeding nose. Azreal's knees scr.a.p.ed on the stone floor in her haste to escape. She found guards running up the corridor, the second they started demanding answers, Azreal had promptly feinted. Her tiny frame falling limp into their hands as her sister pushed past to grab Azreal's hand, worry plastered all over her childlike face was the last thing she remembered.'

Belial pushed out a breath, "What happened to Mihr?" He asked quietly.

Tears forced their way out of Azreals eyes as she replied, "He never snapped out of his trance and jumped threw his tower window three days later when we left for the summer castle."

Belial gripped her shaking shoulders, propping his chin on her head. "I'm so sorry, my love."

"I'm just not expecting this meeting to go much better." Her voice wobbled.

He hugged her tighter, "This time you will not be alone."

Azreal took comfort in his words. No matter what damming information she was about to receive he would fight to stay at her side, wether she wanted him there or not.

"The others are probably scouring the castle for us." Azreal w.h.i.n.ed, not wanting to leave his embrace.

Belial kissed the top of her forehead, "It is getting dark."

Azreal reluctantly peeled herself from his warmth. Belial was not much happier about her movements as he watched her dress with a pout on his handsome face.

"Don't look at me like that, okay?" She chided, so tempted to jump on his still n.a.k.e.d body and push off her duties for a few more hours. Belial g.r.o.a.n.e.d but got up to get dressed as well.

They walked hand in hand through the chilly stone corridors, when they reached the main ball room, all those gathered went silent, a tense cord pushed through the room, Azreal was puzzled by their reaction. Slowly they walked towards where Nadie usually posted up to spin her stories, but she wasn't there. Azreal turned slowly to survey the quiet room. Frustration bubbled up and she called out, "What's going on?" A few children standing near her pointed towards the main entrance. Azreal looked quizzically at them, but let go of Belial's hand to grip her swords hilt as she went in the direction the child had pointed to. As they walked they could hear arguing.. Quiet at first but the closer they got to the entrance hall the louder it became. Lucia was standing in front of Cameron yelling at Minx and Nadie. The second Cameron saw them he let out a fierce roar.

"What the hell is going on?!" Azreal asked again, even more confused than before.

Cameron turned his full attention on Azreal, "F.u.c.k.i.n.g in the same place your entire family died, how was it, Azreal?"

"Hey, watch yourself." Minx lashed out at Cameron, smacking him across the face. Cameron spit blood.

Areal was taken aback, Belial immediately jumping to her defense, "What's it to you?" He growled, prowling closer to Cameron. "If you have a problem with my mate, you can take it up with me, boy." Making sure to put an extra emphasis on the boy part.

Cameron just tipped his head back and laughed, "of course you mated."

"I still don't see why your so upset." Minx said off handedly, as if he didn't have time for this.

Lucia's face curled up in a sneer, "That power wave they released will get us all killed." The look of disgust written all over her face.

"It'll be taken care of." Azreal said through her teeth. She hadn't realized the energy they had released had been strong enough to radiate through the castle.

Nadie was staring at Cameron, her lips barley moved and Azreal couldn't hear what she was saying but she knew it was some sort of enchantment. Azreal could feel the power of the spell as it wrapped itself around Cameron. she felt her eyebrows puzzle together as she focused on the spell, it had to be some sort of unbinding spell. Azreal was confused on why the hell Nadie would be using such a spell on a human healer. Minx and Belial were now towering over Cameron who was seemingly only getting madder and madder the tighter Nadie's spell gripped him.

"Nadie what the hell are you doing? Can't you see it's driving him mad?" Azreal rushed up to them and flung her hands out to separate the boys.

"Everyone just stop!" she yelled, whipping around to face Cameron. "Ive had enough of your male pissing contests. You need to fall in line."

Cameron looked pissed as all hell, but he backed up and shut his god damn mouth. Lucia stepped up to his side, not very happy either.

"Get Lynn and Zarin, it's time to move out." Azreal demanded, its been a long time since shes had to pull rank. Even growing up she had been pretty relaxed when it came to giving orders as a princess.

Minx hissed, "They're not coming with us."

"The hell i'm not," Camron spit, "You've spent enough time alone with our Queen."

Lucia sneered, "Filthy demon"

Azreal was at the girls throat, "Your either with me or your not." Her grip tightened on the girls throat , "They are with me," she said nodding at the twins. "Are you?"

Lucia choked out a yes and Azreal dropped her to the ground, "Don't ever insult my mate again. If I am your Queen then he is you King, and you shall show him that respect."

Cameron quickly came to Lucia's side, laying a healing hand across her throat, "Is this the type of ruler you are to become? Blood thirsty? No better than Qatar?"

Minx was the one sneering now, "Do as you are told."

Azreal just stared at the two, she had gone too far grabbing Lucia, but wouldn't show the weakness they were looking for. So, Azreal stood there expectantly waiting for them to get up, and said "I am neither of those things, but i will demand the respect of my subjects."

Cameron looked like he was about to say something, but instead whipped his head around to glare at Nadie before stomping off to find the others, Lucia close behind.

Azreal pressed her fingertips into her forehead. Nadie beckoned to her and Azreal almost had the nerve to smack the old women.

"What were you doing?" Azreal asked the crone, lips thinned in agitation.

Nadie looked confused herself as she said, "There is something wrong about Cameron, I've never sensed it before until he flew into a fit of rage when your energies exploded through the castle." The old women shook her head, unable to focus. The spell had taken too much of her energy and Azreal slowly steered her towards the castles grand hall where she could lay down in the safety of the groups numbers.

This time when she entered the hall there was a soft buzzing through the room, Azreal layed Nadie down on a soft pallet.

"Watch your back tonight, I have a bad feeling about Cameron." Nadie whispered as her eyes fluttered shut.

Azreal was surprised that the spell had taken so much from her. She felt eyes on the back of her head and looked around the room to find Cameron and Lucia staring daggers at her. Zarin looked unsettled and lynn had a half frown on her lips. Azreal hoped she wasn't going to have problems with them too as she stalked towards them.

"Are we ready to go, or do we need to have another talk?" Azreal asked, looking at Cameron and Lucia, then at Lynn and Zarin.

Cameron and Lucia said nothing as they bowed with a fist over their hearts. Lynn and Zarin replied. "We are ever faithful, my Queen." Before they too bowed with a fist covering their hearts.

"Then, lets get going." Azreal said as she walked past them towards her mate, and an uncertain destiny.
