Immortal Witch: Eldest Daughter Of A Duke

A little girl with her pale face is standing in front of the government office, her hair is so short making a person think that she is a boy if she is not wearing a white dress. Her looks is so pitiable that the others can't help but stop for a minute and ask her. But all they got is silence.

An officer was walking to the government office to report, notice the little child. The little child is wearing a white dress that blend in her pale skin that as white as snow. The officer walk to the little child.

"Little child are you okay? Where are your parents?"

The little child bit her paled lips and didn't answer. She looked up with her big round eyes gazing at the person who is asking her.

Seeing the child's eyes, the person gasped for a second and admire her beautiful green eyes thinking that it is unique. Soon the little child's eyes glistened, tears flowed on her whitened face and said, "H...elp... me."

An officer panicked a little bit but still ask softly, "What? Did something happened to your family?", 'Is that why she looks so sickly.'

Not far away, Lefina is looking at them. Her gaze is complicated seeing the act of Liberaine. In this past days, Liberaine requested her to tour in Kioka Kingdom. But Liberaine is more focused on the movement of the palace, the Combre House and the government office. That officer is always making report to passed in the government office in this time of the day. Again Lefina wanders what is the little girl planning.

"My sis..ter.., one of my family is imprisoned on the Combre House. Hel..p me.."

"They accused her.. hel..p me.."

"I beg you.. my sister is not criminal.. they lock her up.. "

Liberaine kneel but the officer crouched down and held her up. The slender arm of the little girl makes his brow crunched up. 'Again!! The Combre House again. This days are just a mess, it is not like in the past were there are only 1 people a month angrily slamming in the gate of Combre  House because of their arrogance they end up dead though and they keep only silent..'

'But this time everyday there are commoners giving complaint in the gate. Even Captain Rodolf is making request to us for a clear judgement. They cannot keep blind eye anymore, the advisor have a great influence in this kingdom's king. Now this girl with her young age is now making complaints. Did that house thinks that the king will always accepts their unreasonable faults? Specially now where prince Lenester is missing in the kingdom. Can't they just behave themselves?'

The officer clicked his tongue in annoyance of the Combre House. Liberaine saw it, she knows that this officer is an honest man after observing for a while, she can't help but grin inside that her plan is moving smoothly. But outside she keep begging to the officer.

The officer felt guilty, he can't decide alone. Although he is a high rank officer, he can't give order because of impulse. "Little child, don't worry the government office will investigate this." He promised. But the officer too is not sure himself, he can only throw a promise to calm the little child.

"Then..  please... let me just see my .. sister... I miss her.."

"Please.. ?  please..." Liberaine keep begging with her hand tugging the tip of the robe of the officer.

The officer sighed helplessly, He stand up and touch softly the little girl's head and gently said, "Okay, I will get for the confirmation first. Come with me."

Liberaine shake her head. She smiled sweetly but her eyes is still wet. "I will just wait here. Thank you."

The officer felt a sweet and bitterness that make his heart ache. He will take a while processing the paper and he don't want the little child to wait that long. He keep convincing her but the child still shake her head. He can only sighed helplessly and go inside the government office, 'It will take a while but I will keep checking her.'

After Liberaine saw the officer is inside the smile on her lips gone. She turn back and quickly looked at Lefina. Lefina don't know what Liberaine planned but Liberaine only gave her two order, and that is to follow her and after that... Lefina felt her noticed and glance back. She saw Liberaine stop looking at her and run in the direction of Combre House, which is just close in the Government Office.

Captain Rodolf and Josh is making their way again in the government office. They keep giving complaint about injustice in this past days but the government only make them wait.

Outside the government office, Josh look behind as if he have an eye behind her back when he felt a familiar presence. 'Goddess'. Josh saw Lefina not far away following a little child, "What is my goddess doing?"

Captain Rodolf look behind, "Josh what's wrong?"

Josh didn't answer he is looking at the child who is being followed. 'That little body and movement... Rene?'

"Josh?" Again Captain Rodolf asked.

Josh shaked his head, 'Why is Rene outside? And her hair.. there's no way goddes..' he stared confused because he knows that the red-haired woman is his goddess but he is not sure about the little girl's identity.

"Josh!!" Captain Rodolf asked sternly, after he didn't get a response.

After coming back to reality, Josh looked back to his captain and apologized. "Sorry captain, I just saw Lefina so.."

Captain Rodolf immediately understood, He smack the guy's back and laughingly teased, "Oh.. you.!! Make her yours. What's taking the time." Josh blushed after hearing that.

"Well I need her confirmation first." After saying that his face is full of confidence, "I am sure she will notice all my hardworks and accept me with her open heart. heheh.."

The two keep talking to each other until inside of the government office.
