Chapter -4 - Meeting (old 2)

As he was analyzing all the information he received, the door of his room was opened, and the silhouette of a 7 years old kid appeared in front of him. He came up to him and tucked him like a cannonball, but thanks to his body structure, he only felled a little push that did almost nothing to him.

[Meng Hao, 7 years old, best friend]

That's what appeared above his friend at least.

'System, can you search his memory and find out how am I usually addressing him?'

[Ding! Sure, Host... you usually call him Hao or Ho'er when speaking in front of his parents.]

"Hey Hao, what is going on? Why are you upset?" asked Broly as Meng Hao started crying by himself?

"They abandoned us!!!" stated Meng Hao while still crying.

"They?" 'System, was I living with him and his parents until now?'

[Ding! Just a moment... from his memory, your parents were hunters and they died when you were 4 years old. Because of the two of you being such close, they kind of took care of you until now.]

"My parents! They are gone! They just left last night, and I don't know why!"

"But did they tell you anything about why are they living?"

"They said something about the Eastern Lands or something."

"Anything else?" ' God, this kid is like my younger brother. I wonder how was he able to take the news that I was killed by a gunshot by mafia because they kept betting on my opponents and I was the ace of my team. I hope they were still able to win the finals. Why am I thinking right now about my football team?'

"No. So did they talked to you about something suspicious yesterday?"

"They only gave me my father's necklace, after with I have suddenly fallen asleep, while I apparently have forgotten a lot of things. It's like I have amnesia or something..." said Broly to hint up that he barely has any memories of their past.

"Your necklace? I don't see any."

So, he touched the seal and the next thing he knew, an image of the Old Kai appeared near his bead. (I couldn't resist, sorry.)

"Broly, who's that?" Asked Meng Hao after looking at the illusion.

{Brat, I have ears, you know?} asked the illusion.

'System, you are really bored to create such an illusion, aren't you?'

[Thats correct. I wanted to have fun too.]

'Fine, but at least do your job and "initiate" us on the path to cultivation, please.'

{Now then... from your memories, you must be Broly, the owner of my artifact, and you must be Meng Hao, his best friend. Am I right?}

"" Yes"" both answered at the same time.

The second cultivation rank is Qi Gathering Realm. As soon as you unlock the first stage of this realm, you can say that you opened the path to cultivation. This realm does have 13 stages in total, but a normal cultivator can only achieve the 9th stage before ascending to the 3rd rank. The 3rd rank is Foundation Realm, a realm where you can freely fly without the need of an artifact, but you still need to breathe, so you can't fly too high. One another fact is that you stop the need for food. This realm is composed of 10 stages altogether, but a normal cultivator can only achieve 9 of them. After that, there is the Core Realm. In this realm, you can use your energy to substitute for air, so you can fly in space for short distances. For the later stages, I will tell you later.}

"Then what stage were you at when you died?"

{My cultivation realm didn't officially have a name. Past the Ancestor Realm, a realm that is very hard to achieve, nobody bothered to name the realms, as the delimitations between realms are very vague. There are several factors that define if an opponent is stronger or weaker then the other there.}

"How many realms are between Core and Ancestor Realm?" asked Meng Hao with stars in the eyes.

'Is this how the original protagonist of this world was when he was younger in his 3rd life? He is too impatient for my tastes, but also cute. Thank God he is not Emo like a certain Uchiha when he was a kid.'

I mean from what I feel, my body is indeed at the 7th or 8th stage of the Qi Gathering Realm, but it's only based on my unlocked meridians and the amount of Ki that I have.'
