Jericho The Game God

Chapter 21 - Sulcan part seven

"Secondly why the hell should you care?  Your a warrior of a goddess that has the domains of bloodl.u.s.t and murder ! This scene of brutality shouldn't faze you at all! In fact you should've been ecstatic seeing it!" He said with genuine confusion.

After all he'd thought they'd be bloodthirsty and uncaring towards each other not the opposite.

"Finally do you take me for a fool? You guys can't die since you aren't even completely real. Those bodies of yours are made out of mana, and a limited amount at that. If I were to quote on quote kill you you'd just reform when who ever summoned you pumped you with mana." Ariock said in a dark menacing tone that sent shivers down the three's spine.

Samantha along with Elie was shocked, how the hell did he figured that all out.

"If your wondering how I figured you guys out just ask the brat." He said flexing his hands.

Both Elie and Samantha turned to looked at Timothy, this would be there biggest mistake.

As soon as they turned Ariock disappeared in a burst of speed reappearing behind the two ready to grab them by their necks. He successfully grabbed Elie, but failed with Samantha who jumped out the way while holding Timothy.

Wasting no time Ariock engulfed Elie in black flames, killing him instantly and leaving nothing not even ashes.

Shaking his hand to rid of the leftovers of ash, he turned his head towards the clearly scared Samantha.

(Samantha pov )

If Samantha had to describe how she felt right now only two words came to mind.

Absolutely terrified.

Most would be confused or disappointed in her for thinking this, she is a warrior of a Goddess of bloodl.u.s.t after all. She shouldn't be scared in fact she should be excited, right?

Wrong.

Contrary to popular belief just because your a warrior of a God or goddess doesn't mean you are duplicate of them.  Each warrior has their own reasons for joining a God.

Hers was rather simple she required power to deliver vengeance to those that murderd her family. Others have much more fleshed out reasons and such but she never cared for them.

Now back to her current situation.

When she was first summoned along with her two teammates and an miniature army of red knights by the four eyed priestess of Xavi she was rightfully confused, but didn't ask questions for it wasn't her place to.

It's not every day that a priest or priestess of a different God call forth the forces of Gora.

The priestess orders were rather simple in her opinion guard the third floor and stop any and all intruders from entering. She and everyone else all nodded in understanding before they got to work.

It wasn't even thirty minutes later that they heard it the sounds of battle echoing through the temple. Originally they were going to go check it out, but decided against it wanting to set up a trap.

That trap failed miserablely as the green hair warrior was able to not only tank the trap ( it being a powerful bomb) but regained his composure almost instantly.

At this point, as  Samantha now realizes, she along with Elie and Timothy should have been on guard, but instead she initiated a conversation to distract him.

When she thought (key word thought) he was distracted enough she motioned for an group attack. Only for him to dodge weave and counter everything they threw at him. Not a single plan or strategy did lasting damage.

Even when he was surprised attacked by a golem created by Timothy it only pissed him off.

So now Samantha a proud warrior of Gora stood defeated, and at the mercy of a being who (from what she could tell) shows no mercy.

                                -X-

( Back to Ariocks pov)

Ariock stared at Samantha with cold soul perceing eyes.

"let me ask you a question Woman. Do you know why your protecting this temple?" Ariock asked in a low tone.

Samantha just silently shook her head.

"This is the sealing place of your goddess after she was corrupted by a chaos God. Currently the one who summoned you is harnessing Gora's bloodl.u.s.t and killing intent to create magic spell powerful enough to destroy my home city." Ariock said completely shell shocking Samantha.

To think she was being used for such a purpose. She made be a warrior of Rage but even rage has a limit, this isn't even bloodl.u.s.t or hatred it's just evil.

"So now you have two choices" The reptilian eyed warrior said.

"One you die, or two you stay out of my way. Either way I get what I want, so it's your choice."

Samantha didn't even hesitate.

"I along with Timothy will stay out of your way. You have my promise."

Nodding in understanding Ariock walked off towards the entrance of the forth floor. Leaving Samantha only with her thoughts.

'I hope I never have to face that monster again. The whole time while we were fighting I could tell he was holding a lot back. The way he lazily defeated each and everyone of us proves this.'

Looking at her hands Samantha could only laugh nervously, they were shaking like a leaf.

'Also despite the fact I'm practically immortal, why do I get the feeling I would've died permanently if I fought him. '

Shaking those thoughts away Samantha unsummoned herself along with Timothy, all the while hopping to never meet Ariock ever again.
