King Of Magical Golems

Alex looked at the guys who seemed to be their leader. His name was John. He was one of the lackeys of that young miss from the Fowl family. Fowl family is a merchant and has a lot of wealth and connections, so its understandable that people wanting to curry favor from them.

Alex knew John was only at Spirit Gathering one star while he himself was at Spirit Gathering two stars. He can easily overpower him with his cultivation alone. Not to mention the quality of his Spirit Energy is higher that of any 5th Grade Spirit Root's possessors because of absorbing the energy from his sister. John's Spirit Root was only 4th grade. Otherwise, he wouldn't be a lackey.

"What happened, you trash? Did you swallow your tongue or something?" John asked mockingly.

"Hmph, he must be scared out of his wits already."

"Yeah, last time we hit him until his mother won't be able to recognize him. It's only natural he's sacred" John's lackeys also began to provoke Alex. Alex understood their purpose. They want him to initiate the fight so they can lessen the punishment... just like the last time. Because fighting inside the Academy ground is punishable. But if you were just defending you can lessen your punishment. Although punishment will be mostly withholding monthly supply of resources or deducting the Academic Points, it will only affect a commoner like Alex.

But previous it was very serious as they beat Alex to his near-death state. But they still walk around like nothing happened.

'It seems that bitch used her family influence to escape the punishment. Tch... it is natural, after all it was me who got provoked and attacked first. They must have used it as an excuse. Hmph, Time to give them their own medicine.'

"Well well. I didn't know there was a gathering for dogs here. Tsk tsk, it seems all the dogs are here." Alex said sarcastically with a mocking look.

He wanted to provoke them this time.

"What did you call us?" John asked.

"What? you have a hearing problem? I called you a dog. Hmph" Alex replied with a slightly arrogant tone. Everyone was surprised by Alex's sudden change. But Alex was disappointed to see John wasn't enraged as he planned. Instead, he looked confused.

"Umm... what the heck is a dog?"

John and his lackeys looked at each other confused.

"...."

"...."

Speechless. Alex was speechless. He slapped his own forehead.

'That's right!. How could I forget? There are no freaking dogs here. I should have said hounds. Argh, My punch dialog is wasted. Forget it. What was I even thinking? I don't even know how to properly use my energy, not to mention I don't know any Arts or techniques to fight these guys. Hmm...library should have some Basic Art for controlling the Spirit Energy. I should take a look.' After thinking carefully he walked away without giving a chance for John to block him.

"Hey, get back_..." One of the lackeys wanted to barge in the library to stop Alex. But John pulled him back.

"Do you have a screw loose or something? Don't you remember last time what happened when somebody created a disturbance in the library? Don't implicate me if you wanna become a eunuch." When John remembered that lackey about that incident he shuddered and took a step back.

"Brother John, do you want to wait till he comes out." That lackey asked carefully.

"Tch, do you think I have that much time to wait for that trash. We can just get him next time we meet... humph" John said spitefully and took last look at the library entrance before walking away.

Alex no longer cared about John and his gang as he doesn't fear them anymore. He was focusing on the books inside the library. Alex currently had three goals.

Acquiring more knowledge about Mana and magic.

Learning new Arts, possibly offensive type Arts.

Most importantly becoming a Formation Trainee.

The time allowed by his master is only two days away. He needs to cultivate Spirit Sense first to become a formation trainee. Only then he can practice making Primar Mana Convening Array. Although he mastered the Primary Mana Convening Array, that was in theory only. But, theory and experience differ very much. As they say, watching p.o.r.n is not as good as doing it!

''!!!'' You get the idea, right?

Alex selected a corner to sit down and read the book in his hands. He began to follow the instructions in it for developing the Spirit Sense. Since the book was experiences of his master, a Formation Grandmaster, Alex can easily understand the path to form a Spirit Sense.

It didn't even take half-hour as Alex began to form to feel the Spirit Sense forming. It was like he can feel everything around him. Although it was just a small feeling, he was sure that he can use his Spirit Sense to feel his surroundings. But he didn't rush to completely form the Spirit Sense. He has to buy some materials to create the array anyway. In his master's diary, his master said that it's better to form a Spirit Sense through creating Arrays or formation than meditating for better control of Spirit Sense. He got up from his meditation and began to search the basic Spirit Arts section in the library.

After looking for a while in the library the goddess of luck finally decided to smile at him. Alex found a particular Art scroll that was half torn up. When Alex read it his eyes lit up. This Art was perfectly made just for him. He couldn't read the name of this Art but this Art not only required better control over the Spirit Energy but also better control over the Spirit Sense. With these conditions, only extreme fools or extreme geniuses would train this Arts.

And of course, only Alex was an exception. Because he had Mana Observation Ability and there was only one thing that Mana Observation Ability was famous for...

It was Control!!!
