King’s Landing: The Proud Empress

Chapter 2: first encounter, punishment

  Chapter 2 First Encounter, Punishment

Seeing that they were all trembling, their faces were ashen. Jun Li was slightly surprised, but then understood, seeing how scared they were, the former empress must have been a cruel person!

Squinting his eyes slightly, he looked at all the people present without any trace. Seeing that their bodies were tense and their heads were bowed to the ground, Jun Li felt an indescribable weird feeling for some reason.

Out of the corner of his eyes, he suddenly saw a man kneeling in the corner, and seeing him secretly raised his head, looking at Junli standing there intact, disbelief and helplessness quickly flashed in his eyes.

Jun shuddered, this man is definitely not simple! Just from the look in those eyes, Jun Li began to have a guess that the death of the empress might have something to do with this man!

Actually, after Jun Li accepted the fact that she had time-traveled, she realized that this body had died of poisoning, and it had just died, otherwise she would not have been able to attach to it.

After discovering this fact, Jun Li couldn't help but look at the man a few more times, keeping his appearance in mind, then pushed away the group of men surrounding him, and walked towards the man in plain clothes.

The plain-clothed man thought that he would die today, but the tyrant suddenly spoke up at a critical moment, allowing him to avoid the stick, but...as if he had thought of something, a look of panic flashed in the plain-clothed man's eyes.

Shrinking his body slightly, he tried to minimize his sense of existence, but when he caught sight of the figure walking towards him step by step from the corner of his eyes, the fear that was trying to hide in his eyes finally couldn't be concealed anymore, overflowing eye sockets.

Looking at the figure standing in front of him, the plain-clothed man retreated subconsciously, but he was lying on the bench, so there was nowhere for him to avoid it!

But in an instant, the man in plain clothes fell off the bench. Since his hips and back were on the ground, the man in plain clothes immediately let out a slight pain.

But when he thought of the person standing in front of him now, the plain-clothed man quickly covered his mouth with his hand, fearing that he would be punished by that tyrant if he took a step too late.

However, it seems that everything is still too late!

The plain-clothed man looked at Junli's hand stretched out to him, closed his eyes in fear, and waited for that slap to come.

The kneeling people around them all secretly raised their heads at this time, seeing Junli's actions, they couldn't help feeling sympathetic for the plain-clothed man.

It seems that His Majesty is going to kill again! And this poor man is likely to become His Majesty's dead soul soon.

The people present, some of them more timid, have now closed their eyes in fear. And those who were more courageous also lowered their heads again, unable to bear to look any further.

However, after a while, they still didn't hear the scream of the man in plain clothes. They couldn't help guessing in their hearts, could it be that His Majesty directly twisted the man's neck, so he didn't let out the scream?

Thinking of this, all the people couldn't help but tremble all over, and tried their best to crawl lower, hoping not to fall into His Majesty's eyes and lose their lives.

Looking at the plain-clothed man with his eyes closed and ready to be punished, Jun Li felt a slight pain in his heart. What kind of life has he experienced! He is obviously afraid, but pretends not to be afraid. Doesn't he know that his appearance is even more pitiful!

With a helpless sigh, he stretched out his hand to hug him carefully, avoiding the wounds on his body, feeling the momentary stiffness when he was in his arms, Jun Li suffocated slightly, and then gently hugged him tightly.

Looking at those people kneeling on the ground, Jun Li roared, "Call the imperial doctor!"

Pointing at a guard, he said impatiently, "You, lead the way, go back to the bedroom!"

The guard who was pointed at was slightly taken aback, and when he met Shang Junli's angry eyes, his heart trembled, and he immediately ran to lead the way without thinking about answering.

Following the guard, after walking a few steps, he suddenly remembered something, stopped in his tracks, and looked at the sissy father-in-law with cold eyes. She didn't forget that it was this man and woman who ordered someone to beat him just now. If she hadn't stopped him in time, wouldn't these clear and pure eyes be about to disappear in this world!

Thinking of this, the expression in Jun Li's eyes became more and more stern, pointed at the father-in-law, and said in a cold voice, "Come on! Drag this old thing out, how many times you just hit it, and now you hit it back twice."

The father-in-law was startled, raised his head, and looked at Junli in disbelief. He is the father-in-law of His Majesty's servant, and His Majesty wants to beat him now because of a lowly servant? How is this possible!

All the guards around were also shocked, hesitated for a while, one of the more courageous people came out, looked at Jun Li cautiously, and said, "Your Majesty, Eunuch Cao is your Eunuch Eunuch, this..."

Hearing this, Jun Li was slightly annoyed, "Presumptuous! You dare to refute my words, it seems that you don't want to live anymore."

The guard was startled, and immediately knelt down in fright, "Your Majesty, calm down!"

Seeing this, the other guards didn't dare to say anything. They dragged Eunuch Cao to the bench where the plain-clothed man was lying on before, and started fighting without saying a word.

Nodding in satisfaction, he hugged the plain-clothed man and was about to leave. Suddenly, he seemed to think of something, and Junli said without looking back, "From now on, Eunuch Cao doesn't have to accompany me by my side."

Hearing this, everyone was astonished, but Eunuch Cao's face was ashen. Because he knew that His Majesty always said one thing, and no one could change her decision, even Eunuch Duan who raised her.

After waiting for everyone to look up, Junli was no longer in sight, leaving only a group of people looking at each other all over the ground, and the pair of complicated eyes in the corner.
