14. The Acknowledgement Sea

Translator: Ann Yi

When he recalled the situation that night, Larry was still a little scared. Even though he wasn’t the one who faced the scary Evelynn Fox, he had the memory of the original owner!

His shock wasn’t fake as he recalled what happened that night. And Foxit could tell that.

“Don’t pause while speaking! Make it quick.” Foxit had no time to waste with a junior who had no value.

He urged Larry impatiently. And that got Larry out of the shock.

“Tchacha-chacha-chacha-chow! (The day I was ready to go back with the treasure. I thought it would be too tiring if I ran back, so I took a taxi. The driver said that he needed to answer the call of nature and he never came back. Later, that woman came and I couldn’t beat her. Later, I was knocked out. When I woke up, I was like this. I’ve lost my spiritual energy and my Essence Orb.”

The more Larry spoke, the sadder he felt. He felt like he was the most miserable person in the world. It was bad enough that he died an untimely death. He was able to revive but he was reborn as a disabled fox.

Wa-pa-pa-pa-pa-pa-pow…

Silently crying was never Larry’s style. He had always believed that a child who cried out loud had more milk to drink, not to mention that he was really miserable right now.

Frost was absent-minded and had been looking at the people from the WCA. It was the first time that he heard the little fox howling so miserably. His heart ached so much that he rushed over and hug the little fox into his arms.

Regardless of whether Foxit was a leader or not, he blurted out in anger. “What did you do to him?!”

The veins on Foxit’s forehead twitched a few times. He had not done anything yet. He just asked what had happened and Larry was crying like this. How shameful!

“I won’t get my hands dirty with a little fox like that!”

Foxit looked at Larry disdainfully. He believed that even if Larry still had his Essence Orb and hadn’t lost his cultivation, he wouldn’t be able to make great achievements. Foxit bet that he had no nerve to collude with Evelyn Foxes.

Larry howled in Frost’s arms. Frost couldn’t help but console him. Larry had been crying without shedding any tears, and he howled louder whenever Dr. Frost’s movements stopped.

It was too harsh. Foxit didn’t want to admit that Larry was a member of the Astraea Foxclan. How shameful it would be if he took Larry back to the Foxclan!

“Let’s go.”

“Good!”

Doctor Frost was really angry.

Before Foxit left, he took a deep look at Frost, causing the fur on the black cat’s neck to stand on end.

“Meow!”

Foxit glanced at Murk and said with a faint smile, “The cat you keep is very smart.”

That praise gave Murk a bad feeling. He felt that Foxit meant no good with it.

Frost did not want to waste more time talking with this person. He opened the door, “Thank you. Good bye.”

Murk felt that he was able to forgive Dr. Frost for cutting his balls.

For the sake of Dr. Frost acting as a heroic protector just now.

After leaving Frost’s house, Foxit thought about what had happened. The possibility of that useless fox colluding with Evelyn Foxclan was very small, but it was not impossible. And to him, the more suspicious one was that human.

“Keep an eye on them. Inform me if anything happens.”

Having been disturbed by Foxit and given that the little fox was frightened, Frost decided not to go to the pet hospital today.

Larry lay on the top of the sofa and watched Dr. Frost disinfect the house over and over again. He felt like a survivor.

Gosh, Dr. Frost didn’t beat him and Murk up for all the mess they’d made in the house these few days. He was such a nice guy!

Larry found yet another reason to like Dr. Frost. He kept everything clean and loved to do housework. He could cook and make money. Even though Larry still didn’t know how good Frost was in bed, he would give Frost 8 out of 10 due to the aforementioned reasons.

Larry tiptoed and leaped carefully on the crystal clean floor. He was ready to dash to the kitchen for the dinner made by his beloved!

“Meow-meow?(Who was that person?)” It wasn’t easy for Murk to wait and not to ask Larry this question until now.

“Hatee-hatee-hatee-ho! (My Uncle Master. I’m surprised that he didn’t take me away. Today I feel that I love Dr. Frost even more.)” He was a grateful fox fairy. As he could never repay Dr. Frost for saving his life, then he could only sleep with Dr. Frost as the reward! Hahahahahaha…

“Meow-meow-meow. (It’s unlikely for Dr. Frost to fall in love with a fox who sheds hair.”) Murk complained mercilessly. Today, after watching how Dr. Frost cleaned up the house, Murk was frightened.

He didn’t dare to move today, afraid that Dr. Frost might see it when he moved around and got his hair everywhere.

“Tchoff-tchoff-tchoffo-tchoffo-tchoff! (Only ordinary cats like you shed hair. Fox immortals like me never shed hair!)” After he said this, Larry rubbed his hair and tugged at it. He was after all a fox fair, so he shouldn’t shed hair, should he?

“Meow-meow?” (Enough of that. What’s your plan next?)” For some reason, Murk felt that something wasn’t right.

‘What should I do?’ Larry also thought inwardly. ‘Right now, I’m only a little fox who has to rely on a human to transform. What else can I do? I will see what I can do after taking in today’s spiritual power.’

“Hatee-hatee-hatee-ho! (Alright, today’s business is not done yet. Don’t peek or eavesdrop!)” Larry had long found out that Murk had a habit of overhearing others.

Today, the weak, pitiful and helpless little fox was so frightened, so he decided to reward himself in a big way.

At night after Frost went to bed, Larry did his routine kisses and lay on Frost’s body, and entangled his breath with Frost’s breath. Larry just found out today that he could control how his breath flowed in Frost’s body. It was very much like how his Uncle Master cast the Foxlink Transound Spell on him.

It was not like CT where he could see Frost’s muscles and bones. It was a very strange feeling. Larry knew that he was inside Frost’s body, yet it felt like he was swimming in a vast ocean.

Larry also found that he could wander around every part of Frost’s body freely. He couldn’t help but ponder: what he was doing was just like who got enlightened all of a sudden, though he didn’t know the exact way of getting enlightened.

Today Larry wanted to give it a try and see if he could enter Frost’s mind. To put it technically, he wanted to see if he could enter Frost’s Acknowledgement Sea.

He circled around inside Frost’s body yesterday, but Frost’s mind seemed to have been locked. No matter how hard Larry tried, he couldn’t enter it.

Just as Larry had taken in enough spiritual power, he luxuriously turned into human form and lay on Frost’s side. He wondered if it might be easier for him to penetrate into Frost. Oh, he meant to enter the Acknowledgement Sea. Don’t overthink it.

At first, he carefully circled the surroundings to see if there were any cracks on the border of the Acknowledgement Sea. Later, he slowly tried hard to squeeze himself in. Larry thought that he would give up if he couldn’t enter. Even though Larry knew that the Acknowledgement Sea was the place for Frost to store his thoughts and memories, he was still the first time to try to enter other’s Acknowledgement Sea, and he didn’t want to get himself or Frost hurt by handling it improperly.

Just as Larry was about to turn back into a fox, give up on his plan tonight and get ready to sleep, he heard Frost, who would never wake up after falling sound asleep, moan. His eyelashes trembled a bit and it seemed like that he was waking up.

Frost didn’t sleep well on the night when Larry first sucked in his spiritual power. He felt like he saw a pair of familiar eyes. After that, he never had the same experience again. Even Frost himself gradually acquiesced that he was just having a dream.
