34. A Successful Escape

Translator: Ann Yi

Larry really did not understand what this junior sister saw in the original owner of this body. If he was still the last disciple of the Patriarch of the Astraea Foxclan, he would totally get why June was obsessed with him.

But now he was completely screwed. To put it bluntly, he could no longer be called a man without his balls. No, he could no longer be called a male fox. But June still wanted him. Why?

Perhaps he knew some secret and June approached him for that secret?

But he had been in this body for so long. Except that there were no balls, he did not find anything unusual.

Only when Frost heard Larry’s voice did he loosen his hold on him. He gently caressed Larry’s fur, which turned a little hard as the blood on it became dry, and Frost’s heart ached.

“How long will it take you to cure him? I’ll be there with him during the treatment.” He took a step further towards June.

Of course, June would not agree. If Frost came along, what about her plan of building an intimate bond with her Senior Brother?

Without hesitation, she rejected, “No, I’m taking him to the Evelynn Foxclan for treatment. You are a human. If you stay in a place where fairies live, it’ll only do you harm.” She sounded as if she refused him entirely for his own sake. She looked at Frost with her bright eyes. If he refused, it would leave her no option but to resort to violence.

Frost looked down at Larry, who was in his arms. He seemed to be considering whether to hand Larry over to June or not. A look of triumph flashed across June’s face. She believed that Frost would hand Larry to her.

No one would look after him better than she did.

Frost didn’t think for a long time. Suddenly, he looked up at June and said decidedly, “I’ve made my decision!”

June remain calm and composed while stretching out her hands. She was ready to hold Larry into her arms. But then she froze.

“You! What did you do to me?” June was shocked. She was tricked by these two people. She totally underestimated them!

What made her even angrier was that she was unable to break free from the invisible shackles however hard she tried.

“Save your breath. This is an Evil Suppression Talisman that’s used to suppress fairies. We won’t do anything to you, but you won’t take Larry away either.” Mirrocle spoke from behind Frost and signaled to Murk to return to his shoulder by waving his hand.

Only then did June see Murk. She didn’t expect that she would fall prey to a cat’s sneak attack. She swore she would take revenge!

Mirrocle knew that this talisman would not be able to control June for very long, and there was not much time left for Larry. Besides, they were still in Astraea Foxclan’s territory.

“We should not stay here for too long. Let’s get moving.”

……

It had been two days since the two people, one fox and one cat returned to the city. Frost checked and treated Larry’s body as soon as possible. Unfortunately, just as June said, the healing methods of the human world could only heal Larry’s physical wounds. And because his limbs had been broken for too long, Frost couldn’t guarantee that Larry would walk normally in the future.

“Ack-ack-ack-ackawoooo-ack-ack-ack~(Come on, don’t be so sad. I won’t mind if you take care of me for the rest of my life~.) Larry did not know how to comfort Dr. Frost who looked quite gloomy. He was the one who got injured, but why was it that he was the one who also felt panicked?

However, Frost couldn’t understand Larry’s consolation. Instead, he checked him again after Larry howled.

“Meow? (Why don’t you tell him that in his dream?)” Murk was unhappy. He had planned to put on airs. If Mirrocle showed his sincerity, though unwilling, he would go back with him. But, the damned Mirrocle didn’t even ask!

That was unforgivable!!

Murk swore that he would never talk to Mirrocle again!!!

“Doctor Frost, your little fox is really lucky. Had it not been for you, it wouldn’t have survived.” The nurse was really impressed. The operation didn’t take long. When Dr. Frost entered with the bloody fox, she thought that it wouldn’t make it.

She looked at its wounds and saw that its limps were all broken. As Dr. Frost looked quite gloomy, she didn’t dare to ask if the fox was hurt by some pervert who enjoyed abusing small animals.

This time, Frost knew that there was a young man’s soul in the little fox’s body. He didn’t make Larry wear the cone of shame. He just placed both Murk and Larry on his work table to ensure that he could see them any time he wanted to.

When Larry heard what Murk said, he felt so powerless. He also wanted to appear in Frost’s dream. No, he was not a ghost, so how could he appear in Frost’s dream?

“Joff-tchoff-tchoffo-tchoffo-tchoff! (All those nights, I took human form temporarily. What we had were not dreams. They were real.)” He had really had physical contact with Dr. Frost, and they had a great time together. They were not dreams. Dreams were never a match against that!

Murk didn’t want to argue with Larry, now that Larry was so seriously injured.

“Meow meow?” (Then, why don’t you take human form now?)

Now Dr. Frost couldn’t understand what Murk said. Sigh, Murk had to explain for half a day to ask for an extra meal. Murk felt that it was necessary to train Dr. Frost, so that Frost would know that he wanted more food when Frost saw a certain action, otherwise it was too difficult to communicate with him.

If Frost could understand what Murk said, he would definitely explain: I could understand you, but you should really lose some weight.

Speaking of taking human form, Larry felt entirely powerless.

It was a sad story. He stored a little of the spiritual energy that he had sucked from Frost’s body within his body, but the old Fox’s jade slip not only tried to suck his soul, but also took away the remaining spiritual energy. Now Larry had nothing in his body. He planned to suck some spiritual energy from Dr. Frost, but…

He couldn’t move!!!

He couldn’t do it even if he wanted to kiss Dr. Frost and get more spiritual energy out from his mouth!!!

Frost didn’t know that the poor little fox who was staring at him was thinking about how to kiss him. Mirrocle had gone back to the House of Mirrors.

He knew he couldn’t save Larry, so the best solution was to get his master’s help.

Mirrocle told this master what happened at Stardust Mountain.

Mirrocle’s master was a very kind old man, and Mirrocle found his master at a bird and flower market at the foot of the mountain.

“Winston, is that your grandson? He looks really spirited.” The old man sitting opposite Master Winston smiled and looked at Mirrocle. Obviously, he did not know that Winston was a magic master in a magic school.

Master Winston didn’t mind him saying that. He just waved his hand. “Checkmate. He is my apprentice. Luke, you lost. ”

Luke patted his head, messed up the chessboard, and mumbled, “I meant to introduce my granddaughter to your little apprentice. Forget it, I’m leaving.”

Mirrocle helped Master Winston go up the mountain. Along the way, there were many old men greeting Master Winston. It could be seen that Master Winston got quite along with people in this area, and no one knew that he was a magician.

Mirrocle wanted to tell his master about Larry several times. Every time he was about to speak, he didn’t know how to put it.

Larry was reborn in a dead fox’s body. He didn’t know if he should tell his master about that.
