We are now back in Haven...

We have been traveling for almost 2 months...

It is 4 months left before we left Beastman Continent to head toward Dwarven Kingdom...

"What in the earth is happening..." Ethan said...

All of us are currently looking at Haven...

There, we can't see a city but a jungle with gigantic trees...

"Grandpa..." Nate said...

I looked at Ed as well... and he doesn't look really well...

Ethan looked at me...

I nodded saying that I am okay...

"I will change the party member now..." Ethan said...

Everyone looked at me... checking my condition, but they notice that I am okay...

Ethan looked at Eria, and she nodded, means that she will join our party to check Haven...

Then Ethan looked at Nathalia... Nathalia is still in shock...

Nathalia's face, is looked very pale...

Ethan is looking for more members to join, also he talks with Morgan...

"Ed..." I touched Ed's shoulder and he is surprised with it...

"Huh?" he responded and looked at me...

His eyes looked like he has not been sleeping for days...

"Calm down, I need you to take a rest..." I tell Ed...

Ed nodded...

"Nisan..." Ed said, when I was about to leave...

"Grandpa once said, that he could change a whole city into a forest... in a cost of his life..." Ed said while staring at me... his eyes are empty...

"He said also, that you are the only one that could use this magic... Jeremiel-tousan can't use it since he can't use [WOOD MAGIC]" Ed explained

Now I feel really bad for him...

Grandpa... I should have stopped you and casted the Barrier Magic on you... I believe Navroth knows his position by using Clairvoyant...

"Nico?" Ethan calls me...

He gave up and let a sigh...

But then suddenly... a man using black cloak came...

And all of us looked at him and prepare our weapon already...

"We should kill him..." Eria said..

"Wait!" Ethan stopped Eria...

Ethan come closer to that man, along with Noah

"Are you a soldier?" Ethan asked

"T-There are no Navroth's soldier or follower anymore in this place... all of you are welcome here..." that man said...

I looked at Ed... and Ed is still looking at that man...

"I-Is it true that Zerotus Maxwell did this?" Ed asked...

The man looked at Ed...

"Yes, he did it... and save us from Navroth's reign... all of you, please come and see our town's condition..." the man said...

When he looked at me...

"N-Nicolas-sama! Please... save us from Navroth!" that man said while bowing to the floor...

T-That is a different treatment! You should bow when you see Ethan... or Leon... not me!

But then I remember that we are in Haven, where my existence is believed as descendants of Gods...

"Sorry... can I ask something?" Morgan asked that man...

Now all of us looked at him...

"I thought Perius Kingdom has evacuated already..." Morgan reminded us...

All of us looked at each other, and now all of us looked at that man...

"Who are you?" Ethan asked while holding his sword...

But then Erin cut his head instantly...

And bloods flow from his head...

"Erin?!" Ethan shouted...

"That man is lying..." Rin defended Erin...

"He is a spy... and all of the people that lived there... are basically a soldier..." Morgan explained...

So, Grandpa is facing the whole city? That is too much...

"Not all, remember that several of our city has been taken... so there must be hostages in the city..." Ethan said

"So, we have to find out, who is the real soldier and who is the civilian... that would be hard..." Leon said

"I got a plan..." Morgan said...

I come to the wood city, Haven...

On my own... without my heavy armor as disguise, but with my red and black robe...

And when people sees me...

"N-Nicolas-sama!"

"T-That is! Zerotus-sama's grandchild!"

I walked through the crowd till I reach the plaza...

Rin, Erin, the rest is up to you, I believe in both of them...

Ethan's Point of View

We divide our party into two, Rin and Erin...

Both of them has the task to find the spies... and the rest of us will kill them...

I am in the same party with Rin...

"That man, with blue robe..." Rin said... Eria nodded...

"The girl next to the pregnant woman..." Rin said...

"Okay..." Roxane said...

"And that person with blue hair..." Rin said...

I nodded...

"Ed... you will kill that man in heavy armor..." Rin said...

And Ed nodded...

I can see Erin's party on the other side of the roof, and she is giving instructions to the other...

"And that person, blonde hair and next to the carriage... that's yours, Nicolas..." Rin said

"Of course! Leave it to me..." Nicolas said

That person that walked through the middle of the crowd is... Nicolas's Illusion Magic...

Fusion Magic is really helpful in deceiving...

"Rin, that man..." Eria said to Rin while pointing at a man that is going inside a dark alley...

"Yes, he is a spy too... Eria, follow him" Rin said...

"Wait... let me do it..." I said...

Everyone looked at me...

"I think we can find a clue from him..." I said...

Rin nodded...

"You are the boss... do what you want..." Roxane said...

I nodded...

"Rin, the rest is up to you, I will be back..." I said to Rin, and he nodded...

Since we are in the same party for the whole mission back in Dragon Continent, I believe Rin with whole of my heart... he is kind, and a loyal person... especially to Nicolas...

"I trust you already... good luck on the mission..." I said and he nodded...

Yes, when we were in Dragon Kingdom... we will not be able to meet up with King Zeon and King Ethen if we are not with Rin... where I thought a spy was following but they are actually Tousan's man...

I get down from the roof... and follows the man direction...

I decide to do it slowly...

Behind my back, I have my shield, and I have my sword on my left h.i.p.s...

I come to the dark alley where that person directs... and...

"Nicolas is here... tell Navroth-sama..." a voice behind the wall said...

"Good... we will send reinforcement at once..." the other person said...

They are reporting?!

I have to stopped them...

But how many person are there? I can't really see them...

I unsheathed my sword slowly, and use my blade as a mirror...

I can see two person are there...

If it is only two person... I can take them out...

I decided to launch a surprise attack...

But when I looked at the place where they were talking...

They had gone...

"You mean these persons?" A voice above my head

I see those men are dead already...

And I can see an old man above the roof...

He uses a golden armor and gold sword...

"Rueger!" I said...

And he jump to the ground...

It supposed to be hurt... but he looked like he is unharm...

It is a 10m building!

"What are you doing here? I thought you had return..." I said...

"Not yet... most importantly, is Nicolas-sama safe?" Rueger asked me...

Rueger always look into Nicolas all the time... he is a great person...

"He is safe, we are hunting the spies in the town..." Ethan said...

Rueger nodded...

"We have been doing it for weeks, and we killed hundreds already..." Rueger said...

"How do you differentiate between spies and the civilian?" I asked...

"Follow them... follows those who enter the dark alley, and listen their conversation..." Rueger said...

"We got Rin and Erin..." I said proudly

Rueger looked surprised...

"I see, then you guys must have a plan..." Rueger said... and I nodded...

"Where is Orseus?" I asked...

Rueger's party is with Orseus, and they supposed to go and check Reudora Kingdom...

"He take care of the other alley... there are a lot of alleys here..." Rueger said...

"Okay... let's meet up with the other..." I said to Rueger and he nodded...

We return to the roof... and see no one up there...

"N-Nicolas-sama?!" Rueger said when he looked at Nicolas in the middle of the road...

Rueger looked at me, asking for explanation...

"That is his illusion... don't worry..." I said, and he is relieve...

H-He looks pretty mad when he thought that we are using Nicolas as a bait... Scary!

"What is the plan?" Rueger asked me...

"We will gather everyone in the plaza... and Rin and Erin will separate those people from the other one..." I said

Rueger nodded...

Roxane return first...

"Otousama?" Roxane called him with surprised reaction...

"Roxane..." Rueger come closer and hug her...

Roxane hug Rueger as well...

Rueger then release the hug...

"Look at you, you have grown!" Rueger said...

I guess I should left both of them...

I looked at Nicolas's doppleganger, and he is closing to the plaza...

"Rueger!" Rin come closer and jump to hug Rueger...

"Wow... Rin! You are getting heavier! You sure eat a lot!" Rueger said to Rin and Rin laughed...

He just break the reunion of father and daughter! That is Rin!

"Rueger?" Eria arrived...

Now both of them are reuniting...

Everyone really loves Rueger...

He is a kind old man... no one hates him...

He is like a father for everyone, I feel pretty bad for Roxane...

Roxane come closer to me...

"You sure have it rough..." I said to Roxane...

"Haha! I never know that you care about me so much!" Roxane said while laughing...

"H-Hey! That's not what I mean..." I said...

T-This Roxane... I am just doing my job, watching everyone...

"But, thank you..." Roxane told me...

I looked at her...

I looked to the direction where Rin is facing...

"That is Orseus..." I said...

It is... he is using the armor we know...

"Anyone suspicious?" I asked Rin...

He then looked back at the plaza...

"There are some... but it will be very hard to kill, they are in the middle of the crowd" Rin said

"Then, we proceed to the second step..." I said, and Rin nodded...

I looked behind my back and I found Rueger is still hugging Nico...

I wonder who is Rueger's real child... Nico or Roxane...

"Everyone, let's go..." I said..

Everyone nodded...

Rueger released Nico as well...

"Okay, let's go!" Nico said...

All of us are moving from the rooftop...

We are quite hidden, since the city has been covered with trees...

No one can easily spotted us, but Orseus could... as expected from the ninth...

When we arrived at the plaza... we see the fake Nicolas is standing there...

Morgan's party, including Erin stood beside fake Nico...

"Everyone, let me introduce myself, I am Morgan Gavenhallen, Nicolas Maxwell's friend... and we are planning to rescue everyone here..." Morgan said...

"From Navroth! They are marching to this place to destroy all of you..." Morgan said...

Now, we can see the whole city in panic.. but some of them do not...

We can see the different between spy and civilian, but still, we will be trusting both Erin and Rin...

"We will divide everyone into two big groups..." Morgan said...

"One will follow me to the shelter where everyone has been living these past years, and the other group will be staying here for a while with Nicolas..." Morgan said...

Now the people become loud...

There are thousands of people in this place...

The fake Nicolas point its hand to the sky and...

Light shines over those thousand people in the plaza...

I can see a white robe dancing around those people... that is [REPEL]

Then I looked at the real Nicolas...

"Making sure we do not kill the manipulated one..." Nicolas said...

I nodded in agreement...

He nodded...

Erin begin choosing the people...

And it took around 6 hours...

Rin even starting to helps Erin...

We planned to use Rin for the escaping spy... but we got Rueger here and Orseus in the plaza...

And after 10 hours... we have split the spies from the hostages...

The people looked at us now...

And with earth magic...

"[PRISON]" Nicolas said...

Then the earth magic from the ground covers the group of spies...

The hostages looked surprised and... when they looked at the fake Nicolas, it is gone... melting to the ground...

"Kill them..." I said to Nicolas, and I can see his hesitation...

"Want me to kill them?" Ed asked Nicolas...

"No, let me..." Nicolas said...

I can hear shouts from the inside...

"Fast death..." I said...Nicolas nodded...

"[EARTHSPIKE]" Nicolas said...

And I can hear shouts from the earth prison...

"Hey! What are you doing!"

"You kids are dangerous!"

"That is mean!"

Many people complained but...

"Those are the spies from Reudora Kingdom! And those who kill Zerotus Maxwell!" Edmund shouted...

Now, the people looked at him...

"Still! You do not have the right to kill them!" a man shouted...

"Yes! They still have the right to stay alive!" another shouted

"So, Ethan asked me to lead a new team..." I said to everyone here...

We have Ed, Nate, Rin, Eria, and Erin...

Ethan and Morgan is discussing the future of the people of the land... and Noah, Roxane, Nathalia and of course Leon...

Leon, Ethan and Morgan will learn a lot from this situation...

"We will search for the staff..." I told them

All of them nodded...

I looked at Ed and Nate...

"Ed, Nate... if both of you are still not moving on, you should step back..." I told them...

I think it is my time to break them from their sadness

"Both of you wait here..." I told them...

And hoping that they will refuse to wait...

"No, I will be looking for the staff too..." Nate said...

Ed nodded as well...

As expected from my brothers... I give both of them a nod...

"Okay, good... let's search the central cathedral first..." I told everyone and they nodded....

We left the plaza, which is exactly in front of the Central Cathedral...

There are 10 floors in this building, so I divide our team to 3

"Nate, Rin... both of you checked the first to the third floor..." I told them and they nodded...

"Ed and Erin will check the fourth to the sixth floor..." I said and they nodded...

I paired Rin and Erin with Ed and Nate, so that the two of them could cheer them up...

And the rest will be...

"E-Eria and I will check the seventh to the tenth floor..." I said...

T-That's for the sake of Nate and Ed!

"Let's go!" I said...

Everyone nodded...

"We will be checking the first floor!" Rin said happily as usual...

He come closer to tree... but the vines return and protect the tree...

He then give a thought while looking at me...

"Why don't you try it?" Orseus said while returning to our side... and the vines are returning to its initial position and the path is cleared...

I can see the tree there...

And I come closer to the tree... but this time, the vines are not closing...

Grandpa... you are weird...

I come closer to the tree... and the tree shines brighter...

But the vines around me is closing...

"Nico!" Eria shouted...

But it is too late... it split me from Orseus and Eria...

We are being separated by the vines...

"Nico..." a voice from the tree...

I looked at the tree... it is glowing...

The tree is still glowing shining...

Somehow, within my heart I feel that he is smiling...

"What will you do? After all of this thing, done?" Grandpa asked...

After all of thing is done?

"I will live peacefully in my house in Sera, have a family... and maybe, become an adventure?" I said still in doubt...

"Hahahaha" he laughed...

"That's sounds alive... I like it..." Grandpa said...

Then the main branch of the tree is opening...

There is a staff there...

"If you take the staff, I can finally be free..." Grandpa said...

"Grandpa..." I called him...

He remains silent...
