Legend Of The Little Boy

Chapter 2 - When a Little Boy Leaves Home

As another couple years went by and Aeron grew stronger and stronger and Wilson marveled at his improvement but never showed it in his face.

"I just don't understand how you improve so slowly." Wilson thought he couldn't let it get to his head or Aeron's ego will probably get too big so he figured he would just say the inverse of the truth so Aeron will think he is slow. Aeron knowing he was slow at improving from what his father always said just nodded and wondered what the outside world was like as he had only seen the obstacle course, the house, library, and the woods.

"Dad, when can I go outside?" "When you reach stage 39." Aeron thought about it and realized that may be quite soon but compared to the other hundreds of stages he wasn't that far. Now, this, of course, wasn't true as there were only 50 stages of cultivation and 50 magic stages in this realm but there were more after Ascension and a near infinite amount if a good foundation was laid. Each one boosted your strength compared to just leveling up in the system. Every five stages was a bottleneck and was a qualitative change instead of a quantitive change.

He still remembered his first theory lesson a couple years ago when Mana, elements, and cultivation we're explained to him. "Now Mana is your control over the elements and the elements are the particles around you. My friends called them atoms but anyways Mana is how many elements you can move in one sitting. Mana control was how precise your control over elements are as being precise just requires control over your Mana and moving it efficiently also requires control. If you experience a sudden growth it can mess you up."

"The closer you feel with elements at the beginning the higher your affinity with that element but that doesn't mean you don't have to work hard. Everyone's improvement is different based on your personality and affinity but if you have enough affinity you can increase it quickly. You have some affinity for each but don't get c.o.c.ky because there is more. Your affinity lies in your soul so most people don't try to steal others bodies but if they do use the soul cultivation art I'll teach you later to absorb their knowledge and affinity making yours stronger."

"There is also cultivation or body reinforcement and refinement. They can gather elements n a different way and turn it into Chi. This process can be painful or it can be extremely painful. This is a necessary step for you and it must be practiced in order to be strong. In a one versus one, they can win against a mage but it is hard as the mages have the advantage. With enough technique though a mage can also lose easily lose."

Most cultivators lose when fighting because they can't close the distance fast enough or get c.o.c.ky. Mages can also lose from the same not having enough preparation time or c.o.c.kiness never get c.o.c.ky. Promise me that Aeron." "Yes Dad."

"Cultivators in a group are stronger than mages in a group but

Mages in a duel or one versus one win more. Now dual wielders are a whole other story and can be immensely powerful or immensely weak. There is also a minority who are im-" "Immensely mediocre. Right!"

"Yes, we will aim for you to be immensely powerful and you will run this obstacle course and study in the library until you can answer these questions with your eyes closed." Wilson puts down a heavy stack of papers. You have 3 hours in the library then 3 in the obstacle course and 3 to answer questions about math, science, history, and cultivation or magic then there will be 5 hours of sparring, herbology blacksmithing, weaving, cooking, weapons hand to hand combat and other skills. There is hour of free time every day which is followed by an hour for asking questions. After that you can meditate for cultivation or magic but they must be balanced so if you go up one grade the other must also go up a grade within a week."

Thus Aerons life for the next few years became cultivation, magic, and learning. And every night he would meditate on Cultivation or Magic, in other words, draw in energy from the atmosphere and strengthen his bond with the elements and gather energy. As Aeron continued doing this he reached stage 15 at four years old.

Aeron was eventually allowed to go into the woods as well which sped up his breakthroughs as he could fight with his life on the line. It never really was though as he was being watched by Wilson the entire time. He eventually went deeper and deeper into the forest to fight stronger creatures and he became more efficient. He reached stage 20 just a year later which was quite fast compared to most people. He slowly learned to keep a passive revolving Qi cultivation technique and drawing in Mana and elements without needing to put his full attention on it.

This resulted in a constant cultivation technique which accelerated when fighting or putting his full attention onto it. At age six he perfected it so it would run faster accelerating his cultivation even more and making him be at cultivation stage 35 at the young age of seven years old. He stayed two more years and reached stage 39 and focused on learning the useful professions. Being at stage 39 on both magic and cultivation meant he would age much slower and eventually grow into a peak physical form which would be taller and stronger. It would also give him heart-stopping good looks that would be the envy of many men and women when he attracted lots of girls and guys in the future.

At this moment though he was a bit big for his age because cultivation boosted his height quite a bit so he was looking like he was 12 but a bit taller than that. At this moment though he resembled a child that had not lost his naivete for while he killed many animals he still did not understand much about them. He believed that he was just helping them sleep, and not killing them for his dad to protect his innocence lied. Of course, the boy learned about there's and killers as well which dumbed down his naivete significantly.

As he was preparing himself to go to see the world he jumped over to his Wilson and asked to go. Wilson agreed sadly as he had decided that in the future he was going to have the boy as his real soon and even if they were not related by blood get would not give him up easily if his parents came along to pick him up.

As Aeron packed his stuff and put it on his back and looked sadly around before closing the door as he left. When he found his father he hugged him and left through the front gate. As Aeron was leaving his father smacked his forehead and said I forgot to teach him about the birds and the bees well I'm sure he'll be fine after all he is the protagonist and at this instead of yelling about corruption he just smiled.
