Life As A God
Chapter 51 - 51: Coffins, Toys, and Goo
"These rooms are too small!" Games yelled.
Atiti cringed. Having sėnsɨtɨvė ears can be fatal when you're next to Games.
"Well, it's not that bad," Raff said, trying to cheer him up.
Contracts, on the other hand, did not see the reason for their distress. "The room is 100 by 100 meters and even has a high ceiling. How much more space could you possibly want for a single bed?"
"Who says I will just keep a bed in here? What about my toys?!" Games yelled back.
"Your toys are in the trash heap," Atiri reminded him.
"Agh. This has got to be the worst day of my life!" Games proclaimed, clenching at his bubblegum pink hair. He bites his lower lip as tears gathered in his eyes and threatened to fall.
"At least you don't have that purple goo all over you," Raf added, hinting to an event that had traumatized him for years.
"But that purple goo was fun!" Games smiled, his sadness long forgotten.
The purple goo was fun, Raff thought, before it was dumped on him, that is.
"Besides that was centuries ago," Games continued, rolling his eyes. "This," he said, pointing to the 'small' room, "is happening now, which makes it more important. Understand?"
No. Raff did not understand, that goo was much more horrible compared to an undersized room. He swore that he could still taste that overly sweet lump that fell into his mouth when he tried to get the goo off. From then on he had never touched a single piece of candy (despite Wrath's urging) or any other sweet food. Just the sight of them sickened him.
"Where are my coffins?" Atiri asked, interrupting his line of thought much to his delight.
"Coffins?" Contracts raises an eyebrow at that. "Why would you have or need coffins?"
Atiri just stared at him. He couldn't be just another idiotic human if he managed to become a God, right? Why would she not need coffins?
Though not all vampires slept in coffins, the nobles certainly did. Their coffin was customized to protect their body and provide the utmost comfort when they decided to sleep for a few years or even a few decades.
Why did they not just use beds? Would you want to sleep in the same thing your food sleeps in?
But it was not just a matter of pride. After all, their coffins were much more comfortable than anything that the humans could come up with.
"To sleep in, of course," Atiri deadpanned. Humans were getting stupider by the day.
"Don't be silly," he replies, frowning. "Why would you sleep in a coffin? It's not like you're a vampire."
The scene froze for a second. All three of them just stared at him while he just stared back, completely unperturbed.
"Haha!" Games couldn't hold it anymore and started laughing his guts out. His legs give out and he fell to the ground, still laughing.
Contacts glared down at Games. "Stop making a ruckus and explain."
"Atiri is a vampire," he managed to squeeze out, alternating between laughter, coughs, and words.
Contacts' eyes went wide in surprise, the first emotion he had shown since he had met them. He looked up to catch Atiri flashing him a cheeky grin, her fangs in full display.
