Raiden and Jiraiya were in the training grounds they usually used. Naruto was also with them after annoying Jiraiya into taking him with them. Today was the day Raiden takes his first in mastering his chakra nature.

"Ok, to do this we'll first have to know what your affinities are. You should have fire as you're half Uchiha and lightning."

"I have three affinities sensei. Lightning, Fire and Wind."

"That's even better. Having more affinities means being able to use more ninjutsu freely which means having a more versatile fighting style. Ok, I don't really train lightning chakra nature, but basic training is more or less the same."

Jiraiya grabbed a leaf from the ground and sent his chakra into it. The leaf caught on fire and burned.

"This is the basics of nature transformation. If you ever want to create or modify a Jutsu you'll have to master both nature transformation for the element of the Jutsu and shape transformation. You've mastered the latter. I'll explain nature transformation for you."

"Nature Transformation is an advanced form of chakra control that entails the moulding and defining of the nature of one's chakra, altering its properties and characteristics for use in techniques.

The Five Basic Natures are the five elemental chakra natures, which are the foundation of all elemental ninjutsu. They are so vital to the shinobi lifestyle that each of the Five Great Shinobi Countries is named after one of the five. Each element is naturally weaker than and stronger than another:

Fire is strong against Wind but weak against Water. The wind is strong against Lightning but weak against Fire. Lightning is strong against Earth but weak against Wind. Earth is strong against Water but weak against Lightning. Water is strong against Fire but weak against Earth.

Basically, if an elemental technique is put against another elemental technique of the same level, but of a stronger nature, then the technique with the superior nature will prevail. However, a technique with a weaker nature can overpower a technique with a stronger nature if the former is of a higher level. For example, fire can overpower a water technique if it is first strengthened by a wind technique.

Now to train your nature transformation there are two ways: the conscious one and the subconscious one. When you use any elemental Jutsu like the fireball Jutsu using the hand seals is a way to change the chakra in your body to fire nature before releasing it. The same applies to all Jutsus you trained. Which is why it is easier to train Jutsu of an element you have an affinity with as your chakra finds it easier to change to that element.

To train your fire nature chakra in a conscious way you first have to split your chakra to two halves and start rubbing them against each other at high speeds to generate heat. The wind is grinding them against each other so they sharpen each half. now other types are a bit different for water chakra involves making your chakra flow like a river, but not too much to where it becomes vapour. For earth chakra, you harden your chakra till it becomes solid. And finally, for the one you want to train today, lightning, you have to make it constantly vibrate inside your body like lightning.

This is why it's very hard to master all five elements. For every element, you have to split a portion of your chakra and train it this way to use that element. It also requires a lot of time if you don't have an affinity for a certain element.

Now the basic nature transformation exercise is using a leaf and using your chakra to make it react the same as a chakra induction paper, the leaf burned with me because I used fire chakra. you have to make it wrinkle when you master that I'll teach you the next step."

Raiden nodded at the detailed explanation of nature transformation that included all natures. Naruto who was sitting close by barely understood anything except using chakra to burn the leaf.

"Old man, what does all that mean?" Naruto asked Jiraiya.

"You're too young for this, I'll teach you in a couple of years."

Raiden ignored them and started his training. He made 5 clones, his limit, for now, to help him train. Each of them grabbed a leaf and shut out the voices of Naruto and Jiraiya who were yelling at each other.

He made his consciousness sink down to his stomach to look at his chakra. He saw a huge pool when compared to himself. He put his hand on the pool and made it vibrate. The pool started vibrating at a slow speed at first then started to become faster and faster, but it wasn't changing into lightning.

This process continued for some time until one of the clones dispelled fifteen minutes later. 'So that's how it is. I have the vibration of the lightning but I still haven't generated its heat. Then how about this.' Raiden went back to the pool and started to make it vibrate again.

'Now to try this.' He started to shape amounts of chakra as balls before making them bounce off each other. The chakra pool was starting to get really chaotic, the same way lightning is from the inside.

'That's it! If I imagine that my chakra is made of a layer that has small molecules in it and vibrates that layer to generate piercing power while bouncing the molecules off of each other to generate heat.' Thought Raiden.

He looked at the pool and some of it was starting to transform to a violate colour instead of the normal blue. 'Now for the last step.' He cut a part of that chakra and it formed a lightning bolt that he drove towards the leaf.

He opened his eyes and saw that the leaf was wrinkling right now. He let go of the leaf and tried to use the new lightning chakra inside his body. He discharged chakra to his arms and it formed some lightning that escaped his arms.

Jiraiya stopped talking to Naruto and looked towards Raiden who just released the lightning. 'He really is a monster.'

Raiden looked at his regenerating chakra and saw that it was normal chakra, but with that, he already knew how to turn it into lightning nature chakra. With enough practice he'll be able to do it even faster.
