Chapter 33: The Second World (9) [Part 1]

Upon coming at the Yun residence, Ji Mo reminded her once again with concern, “Ms. Yun, I really think you need to carefully consider this matter.”

“Alright.” Yun Luo had just explained that she didn’t like Zhuo Rui, but judging from Ji Mo’s expression, it seemed like she wasn’t entirely convinced. Yun Luo could only acquiesce by nodding her head.

She didn’t consider this to be a big deal, and Ji Mo would soon understand.

Ji Mo felt that Yun Luo had taken her advice to heart, and her heart felt slightly at ease.

System No. 444: [In fact, you don’t have to be so worried about Yun Luo. She has the upper hand even against Yun Yang, so a mere Zhuo Rui couldn’t do anything to her.]

“Even the most capable people can sometimes experience a sudden lack of IQ when it comes to feelings. It’s good to give her a heads up.”

System No. 444: [Furthermore, I think Yun Luo doesn’t have any feelings for Zhuo Rui.]

“Young ladies from prominent families often hide their feelings well. To an outsider like me, there’s no way she would reveal her true feelings. And I speculated that Yun Luo probably sees me as a romantic rival or something.”

System No. 444 wanted to say that it wasn’t really like that. That night, when Ji Mo got drunk, Yun Luo was even mean to Zhuo Rui. Just which part of it says that Yun Luo has affection for Zhuo Rui? However, this wasn’t relevant to the plot, so it wasn’t worth arguing over.

Ji Mo entered the house and played with the two children for the whole day. Today, there were no teachers coming over to give them classes, so they could play to their hearts’ content.

Ji Mo observed the two big shots and didn’t notice anything amiss.

It wasn’t until the dinner ended that she noticed Yun Yin didn’t seem to be as cheerful as before. The little girl sat on the sofa, looking rather quiet.

Ji Mo threw a quick look at Yun Luo, who took out her phone and messaged her: In a while, Yun Yang will come to pick up Yin Yin to go home to sleep.

Ji Mo: It looks like Yinyin isn’t very happy.

Yun Luo: You’ll find out later. Yun Yang has been acting especially strange lately, probably because of Xia Qing.

Ji Mo: Yinyin doesn’t like Xia Qing, right?

Yun Luo: Yeah.

Ji Mo: Why not let Yinyin stay here?

Yun Luo: As I mentioned before, the decision still lies with Yinyin. She seems unwilling to have Xia Qing stay at home and insists on going back. She’s already quite unhappy with Yun Yang over this matter. I can’t understand how Yun Yang suddenly cared for someone, even ignoring Yinyin. In the last month, it has gotten more and more intense.

Ji Mo: I see…

Yun Luo: I asked Yinyin what happened at home, but she just wouldn’t speak. That place is Yun Yang’s territory, so I can’t do much about it.

After all, if the time comes when things come to light, having a falling out would be ugly. Yun Yang wasn’t an easy person to get along with in the first place.

Around nine o’clock in the evening, Yun Yang arrived. Just by looking once, Ji Mo knew that this was still Xia Qing occupying Yun Yang’s body, and they hadn’t switched back yet.

Yun Yang, who was occupying Xia Qing’s body, still wore that cold and distant expression. He seemed to want to reach Yinyin faster and pat her head.

However, Yinyin quickly dodged away, her face showing displeasure. Yun Yang’s expression darkened. He hadn’t noticed it before, but after spending time together these days, he realized that Yun Yin was not very good-tempered.

At this moment, Xia Qing, who was now in Yun Yang’s body, walked over to hold Yinyin’s hand and pulled out a small plush toy.

Yinyin looked serious. “Brother, don’t you know that I don’t like these things?”

She had no interest in plush toys at all—childish! Her brother would never send her these boring things.

Ever since that strange woman entered the house, her brother had also become peculiar, no longer the same as the brother she used to know.

And that strange woman—why did she keep touching her head, control her, and make all sorts of requests she didn’t like?

Her brother was still saying on the side that they shouldn’t demand so much from small children, yet he didn’t blame Xia Qing for being nosy. This made it seem like she was the one in the wrong, and it infuriated her.

Xia Qing’s face stiffened for a second, but he kept his expression. “Whatever Yinyin likes, your brother will bring it for you tomorrow.”

“Yinyin is sleepy.” Yun Yin refused to talk to them anymore. She glanced at Ji Mo’s position and suddenly spoke, “I’m not going to go back to sleep tonight. I want to stay here and sleep with Sister Ji.”

At this moment, both Xia Qing and Yun Yang noticed Ji Mo.

Xia Qing’s heart sank. Why is it Ji Mo again?

“Yinyin, this might disturb others,” Xia Qing said. “It’s better to go over to sleep with your brother.”

Unexpectedly, Yun Yin turned around and ran over to hug Ji Mo. “Tonight, Yinyin just wants to sleep with Sister Ji. The place next door has the presence of a stranger, and Yin Yin doesn’t like it a lot.”

This statement caused Yun Yang’s expression to stiffen for a moment. He had actually become a stranger in her eyes. Yinyin was indeed becoming more and more insensible and unruly. Xia Qing, on the other hand, felt that this was just a small child.

Just when Yun Yang was struggling to control himself and wanted to reprimand her, Xia Qing quickly grabbed his hand to stop him. With her eyes, she signaled to Yun Yang that they were currently in each other’s bodies, so Yun Yang shouldn’t act so rudely and give Yinyin a bad impression while using her body.

To tell the truth, Xia Qing wasn’t that concerned about Yun Yin. The current soul-switching had already established enough connections between her and Yun Yang. As long as Yun Yang recognized her, did Yun Yin even matter?

She hadn’t even thought of trying to win Yun Yin’s favor.

According to the laws of nature, sister-in-laws were always annoying and hard to deal with. She intended to take this opportunity to make a crack between Yun Yang’s and Yun Yin’s relationship. After all, Yun Yang was her future husband. If he always catered to his little sister’s whims, it was certain she would have a hard time in the future.

She knew very well that Yun Yin disliked those toys. She only acted as if she didn’t know, pretending to want to make the little girl happy. In reality, she just wanted Yun Yang to realize that Yun Yin was an unreasonable child.

Yun Yin’s current attitude toward Yun Yang was so poor that when their identities were reversed again in the future, Yun Yang would naturally think that Yun Yin was in the wrong and would surely protect her at every turn.

Don’t say that she was deliberately targeting the child. Initially, she hadn’t planned to do this, but Yun Yin didn’t give her a chance to get close to her and constantly rejected her.
