With widening eyes, the child pulled her blanket over her head and shivered in fright.

Zena smiled ruefully while scratching her head with squinted eyes.

She picked up the shaking child and walked towards the door.

Ignoring the struggling child, she kicked the door open, sending it flying off its hinges and into an unsuspecting zombie.

The surrounding zombies charged at her, ignoring the suppression of ranks that made them fear higher ranked zombies.

She crouched then leapt to the roof, and placed the child down while wearing a grim smile.

She patted the child's head, then jumped off the roof and landed on a zombie's back.

Reaching down, she stretched her hands down and twisted the zombie's neck and tore off it's head and dug her hand into the zombie's head.

Plucking out the nucleus and popping it in her mouth, she bared her teeth towards the other zombies.

A shrill roar sounded out causing the still hesitating zombies to charge at her.

She snorted and leaned to the side as a zombie flew past.

She grabbed the zombie's ankle and slammed it into the ground once.

The surrounding zombies snarled and growled then lunged towards Zena with their claws and teeth bared, determined to rip her to pieces.

She smilingly gripped the zombie's leg and used him like a hammer, smashing the other zombies aside.

Twirling in between claws, she stabbed her own out after throwing the zombie seven meters away like a bag of trash.

Zena rolled to the side and slashed a zombie's leg off then leapt to her feet counting how many zombies were left.

'One, two, three, four, five.. Five to go…' She grinned then leapt at the zombies like a leopard charging it's prey.

Flying in the air, she stuck out her claws and impaled the zombie's throat.

Throwing the body aside, she tore the nucleus from the zombie's skull and bared her teeth while releasing a feral roar.

'Challenge me, I dare you!' Her intent transmitted in the roar causing the zombies to draw back into the shadows of the tall buildings besides them, as her aura as a rank two zombie pressured them.

She cleaned up the battlefield, claiming a few nucleus' for herself while looking up at the roof.

The human child was peering down at her, even though her long hair obscured her face, she found the child to be cute.

Walking underneath the building, she leapt to the top with a light leap and then settled down next to the child, who shook because of fear.

The child had seen her head apart a zombie crowd easily and felt instinctive fear being around the female zombie.

Zena glanced at the child then stood and sniffed the air while looking down the street warily.

Her hearing and smell became many times stronger when she became a zombie, and she heard a human voice and footsteps.

Opening her eyes wide, she saw a blood stained man in black combat clothes with his gun aimed at a zombie group firing away with pure hate in his eyes.

She snarled softly while walking to the edge of the roof, then leapt with all her might.

Raising her hand, she swung down as she neared the man.

The man didn't sense anything until the last moment when he swung his gun and sparks flew as a zombies claw scrapped against his gun.

Heart thumping in his c.h.e.s.t, he aimed his gun at the zombie, while taking in it's appearance.

Looking relatively clean, and standing at five feet seven inches, she looked like a goddess given human flesh, however those eyes said otherwise, as it made it even worse than a demon.

He pointed his gun and pulled the trigger while inwardly cursing the zombie for trying to sneak attack him when he saw the zombie smile.

Instantly his hair stood on end as he only heard rumors of zombies gaining intelligence and that it was rare, however if he was right, then one rare zombie such as that stood in front of him.

He was deployed to this place when they heard that a secret lab lost something valuable and ever since then, the whole region had been on lockdown as zombies roamed the streets.

Zena smiled while observing the soldier in front of her with undisguised interest.

Having been in the military before, she didn't recall seeing any insignia that matched the one in front of her.

It was a skull with black eyes and a bullet hole oozing black blood from the forehead.

Realizing it to be a zombie's skull, she wondered much time had passed and wondered if everyone knew about zombies.

The man pulled the trigger while aiming at the female zombie's head, but the gun didn't fire.

Looking at his gun, he realized the safety had been turned on, but he was just using it a second ago and didn't recall turning it on.

His eyes widened in horror as he came to a conclusion.

The zombie turned his safety on in the brief collision when he blocked her sneak attack.

He backpedaled while switching off the safety when a claw flashed and the gun fell from his hands.

The light faded from his eyes as his head was removed by Zena.

She stripped his shirt off quickly and then hid pants then crouched down and licked the blood from her claws.

A pure euphoric rush made her brain buzz and she licked the blood.

Her eyes widened then she put her petal like lips on the human's body and bit down.

Blood welled up as her teeth entered his flesh, causing her to keep back and savor the taste in her mouth.

She bit again and again until nothing was left of the corpse, and some bones had bite marks on them.

She stood up and wiped the blood from her mouth with the back of her hand while bundling up the combat clothes.

She walked back to the building holding the child and smiled, causing the child to freeze in fright.
