Lord of Pets

★Final remarks of

Dang Dang Dang! On December 21, 2022, Qidian.com’s new star, Black Pepper Immortal, finally completed his debut!

This book was published on January 9, 2021, and lasted for 711 days. During the serialization period, although the number of bursts of updates was better than zero, it never stopped updating. Based on this alone, we must put our hands on our waists and look at the little arrogance. I was able to fulfill the requirements I set for myself before starting the book, and it ended satisfactorily. It can be said that it exceeded expectations by a large margin, and I am very satisfied!

Before I talk about my growth experience and writing gains, please allow me to face all the readers who love the book "The Lord of Pets". Because of your love, this book has grown from scratch to what it is today. If not Your support and recognition, without your approval, appreciation, criticism, suggestions... just let me generate electricity for love alone - sorry, I can't do it!

Next, the text begins.

Since this is the final speech, Black Pepper wants to share everything about this book as much as possible.

Of course, if there are too many random thoughts, or if there is any subversion of everyone's previous understanding and speculation about me... the dog's head will save his life!

(ps: The conclusion of this article is roughly divided into two parts. The first part is "Creative Experience", and the focus is on my growth and mental changes in the past two years. If you find it boring, you can skip it and read directly [Chat] Let’s talk about “The Lord of Pet Beasts”])

——————————

【Creative experience】

Regarding creation, it can be roughly divided into four stages, namely:

"The mental journey and preparation before opening the book"

"The anxious early days"

"The middle period of painful struggle"

"The late stage of happiness being ruined".

——————————————

●【The mental journey and preparation before opening the book】

To put it simply, I have a strong head. After quitting my last job, I was at a loss and confused about what I wanted to do, what I could do, and how to measure the difference between effort and reward.

So I regained my boyhood dream and wanted to support myself through writing.

Countless times in the past, I wanted to embark on this path, but I always stayed at "thinking" and did not put in practice.

This time, I took action.

When I was a teenager, I didn’t have much to play with.

But books must be an indispensable companion.

When I was a child, Pipiru, Lu Xixi, Shuke Beita, Ma Xiaotiao, Xiao Buhu, a mess of classics, a mess of comics, a mess of magazines... these were the ones that held up a corner of the sky when I was a teenager.

Then in junior high school, I came into contact with online literature, which opened the door to a new world, and I couldn't control it.

It turns out that there are so many weird and bizarre fantasy stories in the world.

It turns out that there are still so many ups and downs of adventure in the world.

I remember that at that time, I didn’t have the concept of genuine and piracy. If I found a good novel, I would try my best to download it to the learning machine and read it. Sometimes I couldn’t find the complete txt file, so I would just read it chapter by chapter. Copy and paste, the whole process is very cumbersome.

But I never feel tired. Whenever I think about the countless novels I have yet to read, it feels like I have entered a treasure cave.

As long as I am following the book, I have downloaded the next 100 chapters.

And these 100 chapters can bring me at least a few hours of happiness.

The mood that arose for this could be described as joyful.

——At least one-third of the happiness of my youth was given by all kinds of stories.

————————

Then, as I grow older and read more and more online articles, my tastes inevitably become picky.

The idea that I want to write my own story has grown in my mind more than once, lingering and popping up again and again.

In fact, I tried it when I was a student, but because of the three-minute heat, I never really got started and it was aborted.

(For example, I would write a lot of miscellaneous background settings, but I couldn't piece them together at all, and I couldn't link all kinds of characters together. Even if I sat in front of the computer and meditated for a long time, I didn't know how to start writing.)

Later, it will be the end of 2020.

After finishing my last job, I lost my sense of direction and decided to push myself.

[If you are still unable to write, or you still only have ideas lingering in your mind and cannot implement them into reality, it means that you are not qualified to take this path. It is better to simply give up unrealistic ideas and think about other directions. 】

I found that when I push myself with the belief of "give up if you don't succeed", I am no longer just a three-minute enthusiast. I really get involved, from conception to writing, and challenge one after another along the way. A stumbling block.

Although, I dare not say that it is invincible.

But today, looking back on the past 710 days, I can confidently say to myself - you did it!

These are part of my mental journey before I started writing the book.

The preparation I made was based on my deep understanding that I was too far away from a mature author in terms of skills.

For example, as a reader, I would also feel that an author who updates 4,000 words a day is short and weak.

But for me, who is forced to bear the label of "writer" and has just started to explore in this direction, 4000 words is really the limit.

In the first three months, it might take me five hours just to write 2,000 words.

Coupled with the idea, I racked my brains for 10-12 hours a day, and it might only be 3,000 words.

And these 3,000 words may not necessarily satisfy the quality.

When I confirmed that my writing ability could not even reach the basic passing mark, I thought of a way - I wanted to compile the manuscript!

The plan I made is to collect 100,000 words before publishing the article. This way, by the time I publish the article, my writing ability may have been sharpened to a certain extent, and I can just catch up with the update rhythm after the official launch of the book.

Everything went as I wished. When I was about 48 chapters into the manuscript, I calculated the time it would take to put it on the shelves, and I just set aside a free period of 200,000 words.

So, whether it is a mule or a horse, it is time for the market to test it.

January 9, 2021.

This is not the first day of my creation, but it is the extremely important first day that I have the identity of "author".

This is the only day, because I am testing the waters, I only posted one chapter.

But I may always remember this day.

You can see the book cover that you made by yourself

(Yes! Although someone seems to have complained about the ugly book cover, as a debut novel, I made the cover myself, so the sense of ritual must be full!)

Hand-designed introduction

(The introduction at the beginning was full of literary youth, which I couldn’t bear to look at. Later, I changed it in time, and the readers came in faster.)

And the most important text

(The first chapter has actually been revised many times. In the original version, the dialogue was even more awkward than it is now. I could even dig out four rooms and one living room.)

When I see these things actually appearing on the platform and being able to read them as a reader, I feel not only excitement but also anxiety.

——All my plans are based on smooth situations.

What is success?

Answer: Sign a contract.

In the first book, I didn’t think about what kind of achievements or heights the Lion would reach directly.

I just want to take action and try through practice to see if I can follow this path and earn a certain amount of income from the things I love.

For the first book, my requirement is to have enough food and clothing.

It is not advisable to generate electricity for love, and you must not mindlessly create with yourself as the center.

Only by putting money in an important position, and then incorporating personal color or characteristics, can writing be given a stronger and more profound meaning, as well as the motivation to persevere.

As long as the first book can meet my basic survival needs, the rest should be just for practicing writing.

Writing one million words is the experience of one million words.

Writing 2 million words is 2 million words of experience.

Only by constantly reading (input), constantly writing (output), and constantly reviewing (reflection) can we be on the road to growth.

These are my clear understandings of myself before I started writing the book.

I hope that unless I am sick or have other force majeure factors, it would be best for me not to show up for more updates.

(I did it! Akimbo!)

I hope that the story of the first book may not be outstanding, but the completion of the work can be as complete as possible. If it can cover the plot of each stage in the early, middle, late and late stages, it will allow me to fully understand the different stages of my life. The test that the author needs to face, so it must be crucial for me to learn from these experiences.

(Should, probably, maybe, I did it too!)

With expectations and apprehension, I embarked on my own path of growth.

————————————

●【Uneasy early stage】

Having a hundred thousand manuscripts in hand feels like holding a large amount of banknotes.

Of course I am eager to share my story as soon as possible and tell readers what incredible things will happen next.

But I reminded myself over and over again that this was a manuscript I saved to ensure stable updates, so bear with it, bear with it, you must bear with it.

Then, in the early days of writing, I could probably describe myself as "painful and happy".

After I posted the article, cute little ones poured in one after another. I opened the app at least fifty times a day to read book reviews, recommendation votes, and various data.

Everything is new at this stage.

Positive comments from readers, even just a few words, can bring me infinite happiness and sense of accomplishment.

But there are a thousand Hamlets in a thousand people, and soon, negative comments naturally appeared.

At that stage, I was too ignorant and wanted to argue and use my own words to defend my story.

(Now, only on rare occasions will I respond to comments like this.)

(One is because I can’t satisfy all readers. As long as I grab what I can grab, that’s enough. I can’t force others.)

(Another one, the more I write, the more I realize my shortcomings. Some things may be foreshadowing, which I can consider, but I haven’t revealed them yet;)

(There are also some that do have flaws or flaws that are not logically self-consistent, and any of my defenses seem feeble.)

(So after passing the defense stage, my ideal state is to let readers look for clues and find answers through the content of the text.)

(If it doesn’t work, in most cases, it’s not the reader’s problem, but my writing skills are not superb enough, my thinking is not deep enough, and the words I write are too vulgar... These are things I should always be wary of and try hard for. Room for improvement.)

When the number of reviews increased, I fell into an unprecedented level - signing a contract!

Normally, when a new book is put into the library, it may be browsed by an editor when it has 20,000 to 30,000 words.

I wrote 50,000 words at that time, but I still didn’t receive a website notification, which meant that the first round of editors was not optimistic about my story.

If you fail to sign a contract with more than 50,000 words, you will most likely be sentenced to death.

I kept asking myself, what is the eye-catching aspect of my story? Is it worth reading?

I thought about it over and over again, and I think it still exists.

In addition, my saved manuscripts have not been exhausted yet. If you want me to give up here, how can I do it?

I continued to persevere, and within a few days, when I had almost 70,000 words, I received a website short message.

The feeling at that moment was relief.

Looking back, looking at the whole thing, although my steps were not steady enough, I moved forward unswervingly, taking small steps and even thousands of miles, testing the water, pushing the category, and putting it on the shelves... everything went smoother than I imagined.

(But looking back, I also have a love-hate relationship with manuscript editing.)

(The advantage of it is that it helped me persevere, which deserves a lot of credit.)

(But it also has shortcomings that cannot be erased, because the manuscript is a closed creation. For me, there is no obvious change in writing skills between Chapter 1 and Chapter 50. Based on this closed vision, then Coupled with the serious shortcomings in my initial ability to become an author, the 200,000 words of my previous free chapters were, as many readers commented, so densely packed with small flaws that when I look back now, I feel, wow, it was really well written. It sucks!)

(As an aside, regarding the previous article, there are actually several poisonous points that have been revised repeatedly, which are different from the beginning. I remember at the beginning, I didn’t dare to write off an insignificant supporting character...)

(Similarly, more than once, I was thinking about whether to overhaul the free chapters. When I had written more than one million words, I decided that I should, because the first part was really bad. The general comment from readers was that the later chapters become more exciting, because the first part is more exciting. It’s too bad and leads to the loss of readers, which is very painful for the creator.)

(But as of now, when I finish it, my mind jumps repeatedly. I don’t want to overhaul it now, because I feel that revising the content of the first hundred chapters requires at least half a month of time, based on the tone of the story and the setting itself. Existing defects and possible modifications can only increase the score from 20 points to 30 points, which cannot solve the essential problem.)

In this case, it is better to be as true as possible, leave my initial words, and then invest time and energy in the next book.

Try to avoid the pitfalls you have already stepped on, and try to make up for the regrets and expectations left by this book with subsequent books. )

—————————————

●【The middle period of painful struggle】

The middle stage of creation, from about 1 million words to 250 words, is the most stressful stage for me.

There are probably a few reasons. One is what I just mentioned. The initial writing was not good. It was difficult to attract ten readers, but only one could stick to the paid chapter, which was a drop in the bucket.

At this stage, whether it is revenue or the number of new readers, all data have not declined significantly, but they have not increased significantly either.

(What I can use to comfort myself is that this shows that I am still making progress. There is no particularly serious cliff-like collapse anywhere. The interesting side can barely cover up the boring side, so I shouldn’t expect too much and continue to implement the initial vision. , that is: the meaning of practicing writing is greater than the income, and the experience gained is greater than everything else, so that’s good.)

Another reason is that creating this thing is really tiring!

I personally feel that I am a person who loves words.

Even so, after I started writing, there were a hundred ways to dampen my enthusiasm.

The most straightforward thing is that although I have said so much, I cannot satisfy all readers. It is indeed my lack of personal ability that has resulted in me writing a passage that is full of criticism and controversy.

But every time I see a negative review, whether it's an extreme troll or an objective normal reader, it's equivalent to a blow and negates my efforts so far.

(This does not require sympathy or comfort. Since I have chosen this path, it is what I should bear. I can only be myself as much as possible and please as many readers as I can. For the rest, I will just let it happen. good.)

More blows may come from the fact that no matter how wonderful a story is, there are always problems everywhere. As the background of the world is revealed and forces big and small continue to appear, the settings that need to be conceived are sometimes more complicated than the main text. Be troublesome.

(My main text is 3 million words, my outline is close to 500,000 words, and the mess of scraps adds up to 500,000 words...)

(Another estimate, there must be more than 1,000 extraordinary species appearing in the book, maybe 2,000-3,000. These are the results of sacrificing brain cells and hair. We don’t know whether we should cry or laugh~)

The last one is also the most hidden difficulty of this book.

As a newbie, it was my first time to write a book. Not only did I set up such a huge original world background, but I also rushed to write 3 million words... This is a standard suicide move.

The label "Hell Difficulty" is something I put on myself.

Moreover, my ideas are actually larger than the existing framework of this book.

But with limited writing skills, there is no way to show half of the fantasy world I sketched.

So the unavoidable fact is that starting from the mid-term, I intentionally or unintentionally speed up the process, retaining the core highlights as much as possible, and reduce other side content as much as possible. Even if the plot is fast-paced, it will pass more time than boiling a frog in warm water. The more readers the better.

(One of the ideas for solving the problem is actually to increase the amount of updates. If you write 6,000 words a day, you can actually reduce some of the "short" and "watery" evaluations. However, during the creation stage of this book, I did not have the ability to solve it in this way. The road is blocked.)

In short, the suffering in the mid-term is completely different from that in the early stage.

Without the sense of freshness, all data falls into a bottleneck.

Facing all kinds of negative comments, I slowly depleted myself and became increasingly numb.

It’s a matter of enduring it, but when I look back, hey, I’ve written 1.5 million words? Hey, has it exceeded 2 million words? Hey, I'm so busy. Not only have I grown up by a year or two, but Bai Wushang has also grown from a 16-year-old boy to a prominent figure in the extraordinary world?

——————————

●【The late stage of being happy and rotten】

In self-reflection, my routine is the most chaotic in the middle of writing.

Before I started reading, I was still a health boy, but in the middle of my career, I saw the rising sun countless times and fell asleep to the sound of birds chirping in the morning. My overall skin condition and physical condition were developing in a sub-healthy direction.

Fortunately, I have now reversed this and developed in the direction of going to bed early and getting up early, which is a major foundation for "being happy".

Starting from about 2.5 million words, one day, I sorted out the basic outline, confirmed that the final enemy was the "evil spirit of the beginning", and determined the ending method, which pointed to "war" and "guarding". After I felt a little confident, I was worried. and anxiety, much, much less.

Although at that stage, I still couldn't guarantee that I would be able to present the plot in my mind with high quality.

But I repeatedly told myself that if you are a new person with a new work, if you can reach this point, your gains are already huge enough.

If you have worked hard, struggled, and still collapsed in the later period, it does not mean that you are not very good. On the contrary, you should be happy, because every failure is an opportunity to reflect. Drawing nutrients from it can help you do better next time. jump.

(Not chicken soup, to me, that’s really how I think about it.)

(If it really collapses, the collapse will also have the experience of collapse, which is of great significance.)

(My only concern is probably being criticized by readers. After all, I don’t want the story and characters I worked so hard to write to be loved first and then disliked.)

Of course, what is gratifying is that after the actual creation, I think my later plot did not collapse.

Even if there are many flaws, it cannot be said to have a perfect ending.

But overall it's still on a horizontal level, and for me, it has met the requirements for pen practice.

Wanting more would seem greedy.

————————

Back to the topic, why is it said that the later stage is "happy and ruined"?

Regarding this point, I would like to talk about it in conjunction with "mentality".

A mature writer must have a good attitude.

If you have a bad mentality and face too many negative comments, you can easily fall into self-doubt.

(I feel like I’ve been trolled all the way. There have been too many readers who have commented politely, impolitely, objectively, or not objectively on some of the issues in my story. Some of them are certainly valid. It's very true, it gave me great inspiration and help. Some people who are too poor in quality and can't always activate the quintessence of Chinese skills are just trying to mess with my mentality.)

(From my own point of view, I actually very much welcome comments, because they are mirrors that can tell me what effect my words have in the eyes of readers, which ones are interesting and which ones are boring... This is the "market" "Inspection" is very important.)

In addition, excluding the mentality related to "anti-frustration", what I am more interested in is "self-regulation of mentality."

Writing is actually very lonely.

Especially for full-time writing, as long as you want, you can stay at home every day without a boss or colleagues. If your family understands, no one will even care about you.

Looks cool, right?

However, after experiencing this state for a long time, people can easily "fall".

You will lower your limits again and again. For example, the coding work that could be completed during the day is unknowingly put off until night (procrastination)

Even, why do so many authors stop updating and just eunuch?

One reason is that if I don’t want to write today, I still don’t want to write tomorrow.

Too many such thoughts not only affect the ideas and rhythm of creation, but also subtly tell you that you can give up at any time.

I have never felt that I am a determined person.

The core reason that prompted me to not stop updating for 711 days was not because I really had such great perseverance, but because of "the requirements I placed on myself before starting the book" + "many readers liked this book and recognized the story" + "it would be better if I stopped updating. Affects income" + "If you interrupt the update once, there may be countless times" + "Because I have been persisting, clocking in for 100 days, and clocking in for 200 days... A positive cycle has been formed, and I don’t want to interrupt it easily."...

It is because of the continuous accumulation of these reasons, coupled with good luck that no serious illness or other force majeure factors occurred, that I was able to achieve the small achievement of "no interruption of updates".

Of course, although I haven’t stopped updating, procrastinating on writing still causes me a lot of trouble.

Staying up late is very harmful to the body, and how can an unhealthy body devote itself to long-term creation?

I experienced "normal work and rest" in the early stage, "disordered work and rest" in the middle stage, and then in the later stage, I slowly adjusted back to a regular routine.

I won’t go into details about the mental process of changing my mentality during this period.

Just talk about the results——

[Two years of writing have made me more convinced that writing is only a part of life. If a person has no life but only writing, he will lose the ability to write in a short time. 】

[If you want to write for a long time, in addition to improving your writing skills, you must also learn to control your own mentality. If there is a serious problem with the author's mentality, no matter how good the plot or setting is, he will write it into a mess. 】

To condense the above two sentences, they probably mean that in my opinion, a writer needs to find a creative environment, creative rhythm, and creative mood that suit him or her. These things may seem illusory, but they must have the meaning of their existence. .

Some authors are very happy and comfortable as long as they can stay at home, code when they need to code, finish coding, watch TV series, play games, study recipes, etc., without having to socialize.

But I found that I was different.

Maybe different stages have different needs, but as far as I'm concerned, I prefer "colorful".

To be precise, I am still young and I like to "experience life".

I am willing to try things I have never come across before and things I might like, as long as they are within my ability.

Figures, mechanical keyboards, digital devices, games, outfits, store visits, food, script killing, movies, shopping, shopping, reading, video shooting, sports, chatting with different people...

After I have been exposed to some things and the novelty has passed, I no longer care.

There are also some things that will continue to accompany me for a longer period of time.

In my words, during the two years of writing, my life has been “fairly rich.”

————

When these contents were mentioned, I was actually more worried about seeing some readers saying that it turns out that I still have so much time to do other things. No wonder it is "short" and no wonder it is "watery".

But I also want to repeat the sentence above. I think writing should be a part of life. If you only write without living, you may be able to maintain short-term stability, but it is by no means a long-term solution.

To describe it more intuitively, writing can bring me happiness, but most of the time, it is also boring and tedious.

I need to find other ways to balance my state to attenuate my fatigue and numbness.

At the same time, it is also to amplify my inspiration and increase my input, which in turn helps my output and avoids the lack of expression.

(These points are mainly reflected in the middle and later stages of writing. As I create day after day, the passion and enthusiasm for opening the book in the early days have almost disappeared. What keeps me continuing to create is mainly income and responsibility, as well as all kinds of life. experience.)

I have found a rhythm that suits me, and I am happy about it and longing for it.

In the future, maybe at a new stage, my needs and my rhythm will become different again.

But it doesn’t matter, just let nature take its course. There is no need to force anything, and there is no need to follow other people’s footsteps. I just want to be myself.

———————

●【Let’s talk about "The Lord of Pet Beasts"】

Okay, I hope you can treat the above experience as a story, understand a little bit about what kind of person I am, and then forget about it, and that's it.

In the final analysis, the necessary connection between author and reader is the work itself.

Only if I write a story above the passing mark and get the love and recognition of readers, will you spend your precious time here to peek into my inner Xiao Jiujiu and my little secrets.

————

First, let’s talk about the creative motivation of “Lord of Pet Beasts” from another dimension.

At the beginning, what I wanted to write about was not the subject of "beast control".

But I can’t remember exactly what it was. (There are so many types that I can’t finish them even after I get to the beginning)

Then, to be honest, I have read very few novels related to "King of Beasts". For example, "The Charm" that you guys are so hyped about, I have actually only read the first 200,000 words.

The only other name that can be called out may be "Dark Summoner of the End of the World?" 》(I can’t stand it when I have signs of transgender)

"Long Live the Summons" (such as the Golden Crowned Empress of Flowers). Mentioning this name seems to pull up the threads of fantasy. But unfortunately, I don't remember the reason. I only watched a small part of the first part, and a lot of the content behind it. Not going down.)

What really determines the creation of this book is "Pocket Monsters", "Digimon"... animations and animations in this category.

They are the classics that I really want to pay homage to at the beginning of the book.

(By the way, although the system of "Pokemon" is very large, the related game industry is also extremely developed.)

(But for me personally, the themes of Pokemon are "conquering", "cultivating" and "battle", and the plot's memory points are not clear enough.)

(On the contrary, Digimon is more like telling a story. In retrospect, you may think of a group of chosen people leading the Digital Elf, constantly exploring the world, and defeating enemies through evolution and battle...)

Stories like this give me some motivation for creation. Subtly, I also want to create my own "fantasy world" in my own way.

These are the creative motivations behind "Lord of Pets". They are superimposed on each other and achieve each other, resulting in the final work.

——————

Then, talk about the content of the book.

From my current perspective, the early content of the book is too rough, and there are many flaws in both logic and narrative techniques.

As a random example, take the question "Do you think talent or hard work is more important?" can trigger countless controversies.

(This is a passage that many people considered "poisonous" in the early stages of this book)

——When Bai Wushang was enrolled in Shanhai Academy, because he was a self-awakened person, his natal beast was sealed, and he was nicknamed "gold by sharpening".

It's not impossible to write like this.

Anything controversial has two sides or even more sides.

In a novel, if it is controversial, excluding some readers who really cannot understand it, the rest is actually the author's "lack of ability."

If enough foreshadowing is provided to make the plot presented reasonable enough, then whether talent or hard work is important, it can actually be tenable.

However, I was too immature at that stage, and could not fully express what I wanted to express, whether in conception or writing.

Thus, the controversy was born.

As a result, a considerable number of readers will raise questions. They will analyze right and wrong based on their own cognition and stand on their own standpoint.

Readers who cannot accept this plot will leave me immediately.

This essentially means that I "didn't express myself well enough."

I failed to use my words to guide readers to think according to my way of thinking. Instead, they noticed something strange and lost the sense of immersion in the character Bai Wushang.

This is the most obvious manifestation of my lack of skills as an author.

————

Throughout the book, the plot point where the story becomes exciting is probably the first appearance of the Sun Priest Rabbit.

Later, when entering the Dragon King Island, he was obviously just a companion guardian, but because of the prayer incense, he established a relationship with the Death God lineage, and finally became the "Son of the Sequence" of the Dragon Court.

This plot should be the climax of the middle period. I like it very much.

Later, the more interesting plots, one revolves around "Apricot", one revolves around "Garuda", and the other is "Twelve Guards".

Until the signing of the Garuda contract, the rather long plot that followed actually seemed a bit "bland".

(Actually, I have psychological expectations in this regard. Whether it is rising to the level of the Son of Sequence or becoming the Great Pope, it will be fun at the time, but it will affect the subsequent fun. It is a typical double-edged sword.)

(But after comprehensive consideration, I still think that the advantages outweigh the disadvantages. I just want to find another shortcut and build the entire plot from scratch in my own way. Even if it fails or collapses, I will accept it.)

Miraculously, the ending of the story was something I had in mind before I started the book.

Regarding the Twelve Sequences, the creation of the human race by the Thirteenth Sequence, and the signing of an oath with the creatures of the beginning, so that the humans can contract pet beasts, these are all ideas that came to mind on an unknown night.

To me, this is “a beginning and an end.”

The extraordinary world also appears more "flesh and blood" because of this background story.

The world in my fantasy, the story in my fantasy, all sorts of things, were really written by me.

——————

I don’t know if you have noticed it, but I am a person who pays more attention to logic and details.

There are countless pitfalls dug in this book, some of which I did not care about or even forgot about.

But I have basically buried all the major pitfalls.

If I were to rate the work by "completion", with a full score of 10 and a pass of 6, I would give myself a score of 7-8.

(Uncovered pits, just give an example, for example, witnessed by the Dragon of Destiny, Long Ye and Bai Wushang signed a second life. At that time, the Dragon of Destiny also gave Long Ye a gift called "Sword of Bones", but behind this thing Never appeared again.)

(What others are there? I can’t remember clearly. If any readers have any impressions, you might as well reply at the end of this paragraph and let me take a look.)

————————

【Self-awareness of deficiencies·large collection】

★Character portrayal.

There are actually no standout characters in the whole book, and most of them are still a bit superficial.

(This should be a long-term problem. If you want to portray a brilliant character, you need many things to complement each other. For this, there is a long way to go in the future.)

★Lack of competitors.

From the middle to late stage, it’s basically just the protagonist and the pet beast, or else he joins forces with other bosses, and there are no humans of the same age who can be Bai Wushang’s competitors.

(Although it can be explained by the son of the sequence, but even if it makes sense logically, the reading experience will indeed be uninteresting.)

(But actually, I anticipated this problem in advance, because I did the multiple-choice question myself and chose the "more enjoyable" one in the front, so there would be a lack or shift in the sense of enjoyment later.)

★The transitional plot is unnatural.

For me, the hardest thing to write is actually not the fighting, but the transitions.

Especially the fragmented plot, which was finally sorted out and written, but readers still didn't buy it.

(Readers may find it dull and boring, but I feel that without this kind of transition, the plot would not be coherent)

(This problem is difficult to deal with and can only be improved. Trying to find a more suitable angle of entry may make the plot more interesting.)

★The pet beasts have too many skills. At first glance, they are all dazzling, but when fighting, they are all mentioned in one stroke, and there are problems with the focus and proportion.

★The collapse of the monetary system.

Regarding currency, my current feeling is not to go into details easily. If you want to go into details, you need to consider the rationality more carefully.

(There are many more, some of which I already know subconsciously, but knowing it does not mean that it can be solved, nor does it mean that it will not happen again. These are all spaces for deep thinking and growth.)

Readers are welcome to comment. You can provide your views and opinions based on your reading experience. Thank you very much.

At the same time, I also hope that readers can share with me your favorite characters, favorite beasts, favorite plot points in this book...anything that impresses you or touches you. I very much hope that readers can tell me! (★I will leave some questions at the end of my closing remarks, and interested friends can try to answer them.)

【About extra】

★★★Limited to the starting point, right at the end of the closing remarks, the more readers who share with me their feelings after reading this book.

(Any angle is acceptable, whether you think it is well written or not, or you can improvise and say whatever comes to your mind.)

【★★★The number of extras I will write next will be more and more. ]! ! ! !

(There will be no less than 3 extras, and if there are more, it may reach 10, it depends on everyone’s enthusiasm!)

【About the new book】

There are so many things I want to write about.

But what is certain is that the second book will still be about "beast control" related themes.

The experience I finally accumulated in the first book, if I haven’t practiced it again to prove the results, let me just let it sit in my head and eat dust. I would be somewhat reluctant to do so.

For the second book, my initial wish was very simple, to win a "high-quality" book!

Due to various reasons, "Lord of Pet Beasts" is still far away from the average price of 3,000.

Because the goal is clear and this is a writing practice, I won’t expect too much.

But the second one is different. If I have a certain experience and a certain reader base, if it fails, it means that my writing skills are much more lacking than I imagined.

Of course, no matter what the outcome is, I will face it positively.

If there are shortcomings, then continue to step on the pitfalls and continue to grow.

If there is progress, don't be blindly radical. I hope you will never forget your original intention and always walk on thin ice.

【Book opening time】

Not surprisingly, the new book will be available to everyone [around April] next year.

(It may be mid-March, or it may be April or May. An advance notice will be sent in Laoshu and the group then.)
