Love Will Lead You Back

"Because I fell for you hard. You trapped me and I'm completely bewitched by you. I can no longer think right because of you. I'm planning to cancel my engagement with Lori because it is you who I want to be with, you and Sofia." His voice was very loving, gentle and in a very endearing way as he confessed his true feelings for her.

She was captivated by his eyes, the way he spoke and those words that came out from his mouth, she wanted to hear those words since long ago, but then, the last sentence was not right to her.

"Ji An... Wǒ ài nǐ," his eyes can no longer hide the bursting love for her. He held her face with his hand and she allowed him to c.a.r.e.s.s her face gently and lovingly, she was also bewitched by him the same way he's bewitched by her.

He brushed his thumb on her bottom lip gently and slowly, moved his head closer to her, as his lips nearly touched hers, but then, there was a cute little voice from the side of them.

"Mummy? Daddy? What are you doing? Are we going to play now?" She was standing on the side of the sofa staring at them intensely. 

Ji An felt really embarrassed that her daughter saw all that. She completely forgot she was there playing, she just dropped her head on Cheng Ze's c.h.e.s.t to hide her  embarrassed face.

It made Cheng Ze smile when she did that, he finds it really cute, "Well, mummy and daddy are trying to... make you... happy?" Glancing at Sofia as he hugged Ji An.

Ji An hit him gently on his c.h.e.s.t. With her face still buried on his c.h.e.s.t, she whispered,  "Don't feed her with your rubbish!"

"Making me happy? I'll be happy if you stay here with us so we can play everyday. And you can take me to school and mummy will cook us food and we will eat lots of ice cream. And I have a daddy and mummy. Then I can have a baby sister or a baby brother. That will make me happy." Smiling beautifully and held her hands together as she daydreamed all the things she just said.

Ji An blushed so hard, 'What is my daughter saying now? A baby sister or brother? This man is not even my boyfriend!'

"Did you hear our daughter? She wants a sibling. Should we start now? I'm up for it. But if you prefer to eat first it's fine with me too." he teased her, but he also meant what he said.

She moved and unburied her face but quickly facing her back on them, "Sofia lets go and eat dinner." Calling her daughter to hold Sofia's hand and took her to the table, "Here, let's eat." Ji An prepared everything for dinner so they can finally eat.

Sofia just followed her and started to eat quietly. Cheng Ze followed them to the table as well. "What did my wife cook for her husband?" As he sat down and looked at the food on the table.

Ji An looked at him, "What wife? What husband?" Frowning her face at him and blushing a little.

"Hmm... You were looking forward to our kiss earlier and now you're denying me?" he decided to tease her more.

She blushed even more after he said those words, "If you want to eat just sit down and eat. Leave when you're done," Ji An spoke seriously without looking at him.

"I thought about it and I decided to sleep here tonight, to spend more time with you two." He was serious about what he just said.

Ji An looked at him, "And who invited you for a sleepover?"

"I'm definitely having a sleepover, Sofia invited me!" he looked at Sofia, patted and stroke her hair gently.

Sofia nodded in agreement, "Yes mummy, I asked daddy to sleep here with me." She answered as she ate her food not looking at her parents.

Ji An was surprised by her daughter's words and was lost for words for a second, 'Since when did she learned to invite people in her home?' "Her bed is tiny. You won't fit!"

"Then I'll sleep in your bed!" he looked at her and smiled like he was seducing her.

Ji An totally lost it when she looked at him. Her face turned read, "Sleep in the couch, I'll bring you a blanket." She averted her gaze because she couldn't look at him anymore.

"Ji An why are you blushing?"

"Why are you flirting with me? Aren't you enga—"

"Say it and I'll cover your mouth with mine! It's just a sleepover. Why are you agitated?" his face became dead serious.

"Okay fine! Sleep wherever! I don't care! I'm heading upstairs. Make sure Sofia finishes her food." As she rushed upstairs.

Ji An tidy up her bedroom before she checked on Sofia's bedroom and was thinking if she could fit in Sofia's bed.

Cheng Ze tapped her shoulder, "You're not gonna fit in there. It's too small and you are way heavier than Sofia. You'll end up breaking her bed and she'll end up crying."

"Are you calling me fat?" she gave him the evil eye.

"No! I'm simply saying, sleep next to me. Let Sofia sleep in her bed." Smoothly like that, he was hoping that Ji An will agree with him.

Ji An smiled and laughed a little, "You just gave me an idea."

She washed Sofia and got her ready for bed, told Sofia to sleep in her bed and that she can sleep in the middle. So she can hug whoever she wanted, mummy or uncle Cheng Ze. Sofia like the idea so she went to Ji An's bed and hid under the big blanket.

Ji An went to have a wash too and after that, she lay down on the right side of the bed.

Cheng Ze went downstairs and he was not aware of what is going on with the pair. He was waiting for Li Wei to deliver the clothes he asked for.
