Mahabharat: Through My Eyes

Looking alternatively between the boy named Devvrat and Ganga; the King, Shantanu was baffled and surprise. After feeling the immotional wave of surprise all he felt was happiness, just overwhelming happiness. He felt that he who had lost so much now he could be finally happy.

He looked at the adorable kid who was standing dumfounded in front of him feel elated his c.h.e.s.t filled with pride he now had a son, a son strong and talented enough to equal his mother who was a goddess.

He looked at the goddess and said " The grate and beautiful goddess ganga thankyou for returning me a strong son ".

Ganga looked at the king and said " King shantanu now I have returned you our son, now the karmic bonds between you and me are severed. As for the boy he will be your son and a prince of your kingdom of Hastinapur from this day forward, I Ganga give my son a gift of "इच्छा-मृत्यु" the ability to die at will, no one can kill him, unless he wants to die by himself. He will be the greatest warrior of his generation. ", listening to this king Shantanu became even more joyous (if that was even possible).

The child name Davvrat looked at his mother, knelt down and did a dandavat pranam, got up and said " Mother I do not want to leave your side, you are my mother and will forever be my mother but since you have brought me to the man who is supposedly my father I shall obey your decision"

King Shantanu looking at his child Davvrat's behavior was quite impressed and thought " not only dies he have a strong body and excellent skills but he also has a strong foundation of will and mind, nothing like me who was so foolish just few years back, how did I get so fortunate".

He then walked over to Davvrat, looked Davvrat's cute and adorable face, placed his hand on Davvrat's head ruffling his hair and said "Davvrat you are the simbol of the love your mother and I shared and I can clearly see that you love your mother immensely " ,so he turned around looked at Ganga and said "Ganga the mother of my son I King Shantanu, stand hear under the watch of the heavens and in the name of the almighty Shiva declair the the Davvrat will be known by your name he will be call son of Ganga before any thing else. "

He then turned to look at the boy and said "Dear Davvrat form today onwards your name will always be attached to you mother's name you will be called 'Son of Ganga Davvrat' ".
