The event of eating food together was a small happiness in Alra's daily life after Zan was completed. Alra had many skills he had obtained during his long lifetime and cooking was one of them but when he was alone he always ate simple things because he couldn't see the meaning behind trying to cook up a feast for himself during his constant travels. The only time of the year when he cooked lots of food for himself was his birthday.

While Alra was sitting at the table daydreaming, Zan plated the turkey he had cooked and placed it in front of Alra.

"Eat up, I made lots of food for you since you skipped lunch and today is a special day." Zan said. His voice contained worry.

"Don't worry, I didn't starve yet."Alra answered as he looked at Zan, it was obvious that he didn't hear the special day part. Zan looked back at Alra. "I am worried as your android assistant." Zan replied in a serious voice.

Alra knew it wasn't a good idea to argue with Zan. Zan was usually right when it came to him.

"I never thought of you as an android assistant." Alra said in a small voice, even though his face was emotionless as he said this, his ears which were hidden by his hair were red. After all his years with Alra, Zan obviously figured out that Alra didn't think of him as an android assistant but he wanted to hear it from his mouth. "Then what am I to you?" Zan asked, as he tried to hide his upturning lips with the towel in his hand.

Alra who had already returned his gaze to the plate widened his eyes in suprise as he raised his head quickly. After thinking for a while and opening his mouth in to say something, he slowly looked down again to the turkey as if it was the most interesting thing he has ever seen in all these years. He slowly opened his mouth again without removing his gaze from the plate and a soft voice came from his throat.

"Family, I guess..." Alra spoke in a soft voice which was actually impossible for a normal human to hear it. Zan thanked his enchanted hearing technology for this. It was really rare for Alra to open his heart.

After the small chat, Alra was too embarrassed to raise his head from the plate and Zan was too happy to care. They ate quietly without talking, and after they were done they placed the dishes in the washing machine. Zan asked Alra if he wanted to spend the night with him in the living room, and got a negative answer so he went to the living room which was also in the 6th floor of the house and Alra slowly went towards the staircase to the 7th floor of his house. His house had 10 floors, and the 7th floor had all the research and gaming equipment needed for his work. In the current time, even though virtual keyboard and screen users were still strong and many, they often used gaming helmets when they were home but the most famous thing was the Gaming Capsule. Gaming helmet was a great technology but it was impossible for the player to continue playing after a while because of the hunger levels the device was calculating. The Gaming Capsule was the most recent technology which had its own nutrition vials. The user would put in the nutrition vials to the device according to the amount of time they wanted to play. This meant the end for taking breaks during an immersive online game. The Gaming Capsule was released 4 months ago and because of its price many people could only dream about it.

Alra also had a Gaming Capsule. This device was a great help during the time he was doing the last tests for his game. Alra had more money than he could ever finish spending, as he played with the stock market for years and worked in many different jobs. His main goal in life back then was to learn different skills and have various experiences since he had more than a lifetime. Being immortal didn't equal to being happy. Alra always believed humans had to try to live up to their potential to claim their own happiness. He always strived to live a full life even though it would never end anyway. His fortune was the result of his experience hunting throughout the 418 years he lived. He also continued gaining more because of his recent success with his company "Blazing Garden". As he thought of these, he climbed the stairs.

The 7th floor of his house was separated into three rooms which were mainly labeled as "Device Room", "Storage Room" and "Bathroom" and the windows were all covered with holographic technology. Alra usually kept these rooms a bit dark, mainly because his eyes were s.e.n.s.i.t.i.v.e to light. The rooms would always have some light blue glow on the walls and floors from the machines and screens in them.

Alra slowly walked towards his work desk, and slowly opened up a drawer. The drawer which had an automatic light system slowly let out a soft glow of blue light, which showed an empty space inside it.

"I knew I was forgetting something." Alra mumbled in a defeated tone. Alra would notify Zan when he was about to run out of nutrition vials but this time he forgot to do that and now he had none...

Alra slowly paced in the room, trying to find the stairs without tripping on a device or a book. "Humans have done well finally removing the cable technology completely." Alra thought as he climbed down the stairs to the 6th floor where Zan was currently watching the news. Alra had a dark history with cables as he either tripped on them or got tangled in them. In fact when the wireless technology started becoming more used in the daily life Alra cried because of happiness as he remembered his poor little electrical devices he broke because of cables.

"Zan, I ran out of Nutrition Vials again." Alra said to Zan as he stepped onto the fuzzy carpet of the living room. "I told you before to notify me before you run out, you are the one that told me not to enter the 7th floor too much." Zan said as he turned towards Alra, removing his gaze from the screen he was watching seriously.

Alra knew how Zan liked watching the news. "It is important to keep yourself up to date, since you don't really care about it, I will learn these for you." He would always say.

Zan slowly opened a screen in front of him and opened the shopping site, after a few scrolls and touches he closed it. "I have ordered them, it was out of stock so it will arrive within two days. Tell me beforehand next time or allow me to enter the 7th floor to do the check for you." Zan said in a serious manner.

Alra looked at Zan thoughtfully and decided on something. "Zan, since I did say, we are, you know, family, I don't have anything to hide anyway. You can go freely to any floor of the house, since it is yours as well. I did forget I made you unable to enter the 7th floor to be honest, that was a long time ago. " Alra said to Zan as he blushed a bit because of the word "family".

Zan smiled happily as he nodded to Alra. "You know what, I always wondered when you would finally realize that, and you picked a wonderful day for it."

Alra looked confused as he listened to Zan. "I knew you didn't realize it, but today is New Years Eve! No wonder you had no reaction when I made turkey for dinner." Zan said with a big smile.

"I didn't get you anything... Sorry." Alra mumbled to Zan as he felt embarrassed for forgetting such a celebrated event.

"You gave me the best thing ever so its fine, I have always waited for your confirmation since I gained free will." Zan said as he smiled and looked at Alra expectantly. " Since you don't have any vials, and the game didn't make a New Years event this year, would you like to have milk and cookies with me here?" Zan asked to Alra, as he smiled warmly. "Sure." Alra said in a small voice as he accepted a glass of milk and a plate of cookies from Zan.

Zan watched as Alra nibbled on the cookies and felt warm inside. Even though he had a man made body, his feelings were real. He was finally accepted as family. It was the best present for him ever.

That night, they waited for midnight together and slept early, because Alra suddenly had an idea as they were watching the special lottery event for New Years Eve on the variety show they switched to after the news.

Alra went to his fluffy bed with many plans for next week and Zan went to bed feeling satisfied that he got to spend time with Alra. Ever since he remembered, Alra was like a little brother he loved to dote on and he was officially accepted as one after all these years. New year seemed to have started fine for the Bilen family.
