Successful Promotion and Preparations For the Interview

Lui had been overly busy for the past two days after the Academy had sent the notification for the individual exam. 

They couldn't delay his exam any further because of the new session which had begun. They already set a date for a causal field recreation for the students. They set the date of his exams a day before the event so Lui could partake in recreational day. 

Every year, the Academy puts in some efforts and the students were brought to some theme parks for recreation. 

The goal was to freshen up the minds of the students and let them have fun together while preparing for the commencing of the new session within the same week. It's also the best avenue to start the new year as well. 

Lui was notified. 

But, he's already primarily burdened with his exams. Toto ensured not to disturb Lui; instead, it made sure that the teen didn't starve during his preparations for the exams. It was said that Toto returned to its previous job to look after the teen and terrify his enemies at the same time.

If it were given a job somewhere else, it would not have done the chores no matter what. 

It strictly limited itself to the assigned task. This teen, on the other hand, admired and patted the robot for doing a great job. The gratitude inspired the machine into learning to perform other non-related tasks for its master. 

Toto went to check the surrounding area of the c.o.n.d.o.minium every day. It would make sure that the municipal security devices were working properly around the house and on the street. 

It also stocked the home by buying fresh fruits and vegetables. The market was nearby. So, it could keep an eye on Lui as well; moreover, it always left sensors behind, and if there was any warning, it only needed three seconds to reach the place. 

Lui could see how efficiently Toto was working, and it enabled him the opportunity to read and learn without worry. 

He was prepared. Toto followed him as well. Today was the date set for the exam, and he was going to do his very best, Lui reassured himself. 

Later, he would be busy with the Micron Interview. His friends were concerned but, he would sure meet with them on the recreational day. 

They were also aware that he was busy, so no one came to disturb him. 

They were planning what they will do in the theme park. From the time they came in this world, it was the first time that they would go out from the Academy and witness a theme park, so it brought excitement to them. They listened in as other students spoke about their previous trip to a park and how they enjoyed it there. 

There was no one in the room. 

The live screen was all set, and, the time given was limited. Lui has prepared himself according to the instructor's authorizations. The questions were mostly related to his project and how the idea and all the ground equipment were applied. There were many unpredictable questions as well, like what he aimed to do in the future and what was his thoughts about the present climate control from the authority and a break down on their efforts? A few of his answers were so mind-boggling and straightforward to the point which left the examiners speechless. 

Overall, the instructor of other department who was in charge of keeping a lookout during the exam was very shocked. 

He had met this student before, but Lui never left an intense impression on him earlier. 

There was a significant change in the personality of this student during this year, and it can be expected since Lui had met with many surprises during this academic year. Everyone was aware as it went round. 

The exam was over, and shortly after, the results were sent. The student passed the finals with honorary mark. There were some detailed notes which were sent in response to his few answers.

Lui took them and read through, then handed over to the instructor. 

These responses will be sent to administration for a thorough perusal. He heaved a sigh to see the mark of excellence which meant he had been officially promoted. 

Finally, despite all the troubles, he succeeded.

He was sent back home to rest. 

Toto and Lui will return the next day. It would be exciting as well as tiresome too, so he needed to take rest, Toto stood on guard as Lui entered his room. 

Despite his outstanding performance in the exams, Lui's intuition was pointing that something terrible might happen. He was uncertain about it, but, he tossed the thoughts aside and shut his eyes to rest. 

Toto could sense the unhappiness of the teen, but to read through the minds of human was a little tricky, especially for a robot. Toto remained on guard and also prepared some of the notes as to how it would help its master in preparation for the interview. 

Lui had already told it that he never happened to carry out interviews, but, this interview meant a lot to him. So, he won't want to embarrass himself. 

The company was prestigious and, if they were okay with the presentation, then they would give whatever he wanted in return, he needed funds. The next session was about to begin, and he didn't want to apply for the next year grants. He would like to support his study on his own. 

The next class session was longer- spanning over three years. The students would be given an ample amount of work and assignments, which, will require a substantial amount of money needed to push the study further. 

He also needed money if Hyal wanted to go back to her district and for his friends if they faced any trouble. 

Long Bodang could finally meet with Gib since it has been a while after the mess he created for MicroTech. 

"I'll rather work on my own than to believe in the illusion of your support," Gib straightaway refused to grant him an audience. His father had already opened his eyes to many truths. It would be a shortcoming on his part if he still chose to work for this selfish man; moreover, their collaboration has already ended. 

He barely escaped and all because Lui chose to keep quiet and did not expose who had him kidnapped and tortured. 

And he didn't want to lose this chance by again believing this businessman, who knows what kind of trouble would be awaiting him next and he would again leave him alone in the middle of the square.
