MMORPG: The Elementalist

Chapter 657 - Galestorm

After returning to the camp, Qin Ruo finally had gotten Edgar's explanation for the dismantling of the safe zone's barrier.

According to Edgar, the three NPCs were now not in "neutral" ground with anyone in the Underworld anymore. This was due to the Fallen Angels aiding them in defeating the Grand Reaper that had been threatening their lives for decades. Therefore, Edgar and his friends had decided to pledge their allegiance to the Fallen Angels League.

In other words, Edgar and his NPC colleagues had decided to be the Fallen Angels' city's Advisors. Qin Ruo didn't understand what Edgar's "Advisor" meant; however, having Demigod NPCs joining the Fallen Angels was always a good thing to Qin Ruo.

Besides, Qin Ruo had always wanted Yaegar to join his League as his Alchemist.

The news about the three Demigod NPCs joining the Fallen Angels didn't attract much attention from the other players — they were too preoccupied with the loot that the Grand Reaper had dropped earlier. They gathered round and urged Qin Ruo to take out more loot from his inventory.

Wearing a smile, Qin Ruo took out the loot one by one and handed to the Edgar…

Overwhelmed by excitement, Edgar received the first loot —"Galestorm Greaves" with his trembling hands from Qin Ruo. Then, golden rays beamed from his hands and shone on the greaves.

The golden rays beamed brighter and brighter as more sweat rolled down from Edgar's forehead. Then, the golden rays started to turn purple… and then turned back to golden again. It was apparent that appraising Demigod Tier equipment was a difficult task.

Everyone, including Qin Ruo, was holding their breath as they watched Edgar appraising the equipment…

"Demigod Tier…"

Black Rock, who was standing next to Qin Ruo, widened his eyes as he mumbled the two words. This type of appraisal light that was emitted from Edgar's hands… it was never seen by anyone in "Honor and Glory" before. It was quite telling that this Galestorm Greaves were higher in Tier than anyone's equipment in the scene.

And Black Rock's guess was correct.

The first equipment that Qin Ruo handed over to Edgar was a Demigod Tier equipment—the most valuable loot he could find from the mountain of treasures he acquired from the Grand Reaper.

Yet, something unthinkable had happened!

As the appraisal light continuously turned golden, purple, and white in Edgar's hands, like a disco ball, an enormous black ray shone out of the Galestorm Greaves and pushed Edgar's appraisal light away!

The Galestorm Greaves remained the same as it was—grey and not appraised, sitting quietly in Edgar's hands.

As for Edgar, his face was as red as a tomato.

"?"

Everyone was confused as they saw this…

As Qin Ruo was looking at Edgar with a doubtful look, Yaegar's voice rang in his ears.

"Edgar is indeed highly skilled in appraising equipment. Yet, he had never touched a Demigod Tier equipment ever. So, it's quite normal for him to fail once or twice in appraising the thing."

'Fail? NPCs can fail in appraising items?'

Qin Ruo couldn't help but smile. He was so amused.

This was the first time he had seen and heard of something like this. Witnessing an NPC's failure was quite an entertaining experience indeed.

Hehe. And Edgar was trying to drive him away when talking about the Grand Reaper too. Now they not only defeated the Grand Reaper, Edgar wasn't able to appraise an equipment that Qin Ruo brought to him.

Standing in front of Edgar, Qin Ruo crossed his arms with a smile as he looked at Edgar charging up more Mana to initiate another round of Appraisal. Then, a peculiar thought snuck into his mind.

These Demigod NPCs… they were even weaker than the Divine Tier Minibosses.

If the day most players had advanced to Demigod Tier to Tier 6, what would become of these Demigod NPCs?

As he thought of this, Qin Ruo couldn't help but feel sorry for the NPCs.

From this battle that they had gone through earlier, it was quite apparent that the Demigod NPCs were not undefeatable. Not only that, the players had started to become as strong as them. Even now, the Fallen Angels were starting to inch toward acquiring the strength of Demigod Tier, to become as strong as these Demigod NPCs.

Qin Ruo secretly pondered, if one day he had advanced to Demigod Tier and could he take on Divine Minibosses alone and would he be able to defeat these NPCs?

As he was deep in his thoughts, the Galestorm Greaves was being brought to him by Xiaoxiao.

"Hmm? Oh, the appraisal has completed?"

Qin Ruo looked at Edgar, who had finally regained his composure from the appraisal process, and then received the greaves from Xiaoxiao.

Before he was able to take a good look at it, several heads had inched toward the Demigod greaves.

"Wow!"

"Tsk tsk… what a beauty!"

Black Rock and Subjugator's cries of amazement only made the others' excitement shoot up even more.

"What are the attributes?"

"Tell us! Tell us!"

"Attributes?" Black Rock and Subjugator looked up and replied at the same time. "What attributes? I haven't seen the attributes. The Clan Leader hasn't shown it yet."

"What the heck, man!"

The others couldn't help but curse out loud, "If you haven't seen the attributes, why are you making so much noise? You are trying to mess with everyone here, huh?"

"… amateurs. We can see the attributes anytime we want. And we'll get to see it in no time too. Now, we're admiring the equipment's craftwork…" Subjugator quickly refuted.

Black Rock, on the other hand, was caressing the equipment and nodding. "Yeah, we're admiring this beauty here. Can't you see this craftwork? The engravings… oh, they're so charming… and the quality of the materials… it's so soft and tender. The weight is even lighter than the Legendary gears. Wearing this must feel so, so good."

Their slow and exaggerated replies almost made everyone else vomit blood.

Even Qin Ruo rolled his eyes. Thus, without any hesitation, Qin Ruo posted the equipment's stats and attributes on the League Chat so that everyone in the League could take a good look.

After seeing the rare unique damage absorption attribute, Qin Ruo couldn't help but beam. This was a great equipment indeed. It was at least almost as strong as the one Casanova sold off in his Grand Auction a few days ago. And that "Movement Speed would be increased by 20% when Gust Motion is activated" attribute almost made Qin Ruo jump in joy.

Yet, as he saw the Enchanted Magic that came along with the greaves, Qin Ruo's heart almost leaped out of his mouth as a deep regret plunged in his mind. He should have kept this attribute a secret.

F*ck!

Galestorm! And Magic Penetration?!

It was such an overkill…

If an Elementalist could acquire the ability to penetrate the enemy's Magic Defense, this meant that the said Elementalist would become the common enemy of every other Elementalists in the game.

Other than that, the greaves enabled an Elementalist to teleport and use the AoE spell "Galestorm" all at the same time, killing multiple targets in an instant. This was quite a terrifying ability.

Judging by these abilities and attributes, Qin Ruo felt that this "Galestorm Greaves" were certainly much more valuable that the Violet Rattelyr Gauntlets. If the latter could be auctioned off at a price of 5 billion gold coins, then, the Galestorm Greaves could be priced at least seven billion gold coins!

In less than half a minute, Remorseless Warrior had approached Qin Ruo…

"Boss Qin!"

"This equipment… are you going to sell it? Can you sell it to me?"

Fortunately, Remorseless Warrior didn't request to own the Galestorm Greaves.

After pondering for a while, Qin Ruo replied with a nod.

"Let me discuss this with everyone first. I'll let you know later. Don't worry, I'm not going to sell it to outsiders. Not when it has that 'Galestorm' spell enchanted."

Remorseless Warrior was not dissatisfied with Qin Ruo's reply.

Even though all the Five Clans did work together in running this Project Pioneer, the twenty billion gold coins were all supplied by the Fallen Angels Clan, not the other Four Clans. Other than that, the Fallen Angels Clan had also spent at least twenty million gold coins to acquire countless Magic Scrolls, Shadowmesh Arrows, and Mana Cores.

It was undeniable that the Fallen Angels Clan was the one that put in the most effort in this Project Pioneer. Thus, Remorseless Warrior had no objection even if Qin Ruo were to keep all the loot to himself.

Besides, the Four Clans were currently enjoying an endless Experience Points grind fest inside a safely guarded area, without needing to pay a dime. They basically got to use a leveling area that was even better than anywhere in the Mythical Continent without putting in much effort.

As the camp was in an uproar after everyone witnessed the stats and attributes of the Demigod equipment, Qin Ruo had also rejected the request of giving away the equipment to Slash and contacted other Four League Leaders to join them in the camp.

Then, Qin Ruo calmly took out a ragged Skill Book and handed it to Edgar. After seeing the second loot that Qin Ruo took out, a heavy silence befell the camp yet again. Everyone's attention was now focused on the Skill Book.

This time, Edgar didn't humiliate himself again and was able to quickly appraise the Skill Book.

Right after the skill book was appraised, several zapping sparks of Electric Elements cloaked the Skill Book, emitting soft thunder-like roar. This had attracted the attention of every Electromancer in the camp!

Even Homme Fatale and Majestic Hero, who were hovering in the air, too felt something peculiar as they looked, with passion burning in their eyes, at the electrifying Skill Book in Qin Ruo's hands.
