My Boyfriend Is A Campus Bad Boy

Chapter 22 - 22: Your Guardian Angel

Halora felt uncomfortable being with a boy under the same roof. But, as she promised, she brought him to her two-storey house.

"H–how did I convince him to do his assignments?" She touched her chest, leaned at the wall, and looked into the door in front of her room.

She was preparing for dinner. Potatoes, garlic, onions scattered throughout the table. She was nervous about the taste of it.

As she closed her eyes, Halora felt something warm on her finger. It was the ring that came out from nowhere, and it sparkled for the nth time.

"Oh! What would you like to say?" She murmured, talked to the ring as if it was alive. "Don't disturb me, I am busy!" She added..

Halora's house was surrounded by tall trees. It was located in the middle of the vacant lot near the forest. It was the only treasure that her parents left for her.

It was a two-storey building with four rooms. It was beautiful when she was still young, but as time goes by, it became dull, old-fashioned, and out of style.

But still, it was a safe and better place to live in. On the first ground, there was a living room, old sofas, frames, and figurines. It was filled with trophies, medals, and certificates.

"Halora?"

"Hmm?"

"Halora?"

She thought it was Seb who called her name. But, as she was busy cooking, Halora never dared to open the door found in the kitchen. It was a two–way door.

"Halora!"

Until the voice became mysterious, deep, and sounded like a creepy one. "Seb?" She gripped the ladle tightly and quickly turned off the stove.

She walked frighteningly to her room, but suddenly, a fast creature passed by behind her back.

"Sebastian is that you?"

Halora ignored the hint. She thought it was only a piece of a joke until a loud bang sounded off. Someone knocked on the door loudly as the bomb exploded.

"Who's there?" She clamored, leaned to the wall, and held her breath. Her voice cracked that was filled with fear.

The sound became too scary as it gave goosebumps to Halora. She never felt a mind-blowing fear as what she felt at the moment.

"Seb? Pl–please, help me! Someone is trying to open the door!"

However, Sebastian was listening to the music on her laptop. He was entertained by the hard metal songs that he often heard.

"She will happy to see this!" He giggled as he answered all the questions and his assignments. He never thought he can do it by himself.

Sebastian danced with the rhythm of the song. He even used the ballpen as a drum stick, "Why it took her too long to cook?"

He felt nervous at the thought of her. Sebastian quickly paused the music, sighed deeply as he closed Halora's laptop.

Every step he took, the heaviness in his heart became unbearable. "Ha?"

He pulled the door quickly, held his breath when the wind howled, and blew up the curtains around.

"This is not good,"

As he gawked into the windows, he noticed someone's silhouette. It looked like a beast as it was big, "No! They shouldn't hurt her!"

Sebastian ran towards the stairway and went into the kitchen found on the first ground. When he finally reached it, he saw Halora cried out in the corner, embraced herself tightly.

She stopped, wiped her tears away, and encircled her arms around his waist. "I... I can't believe you're here to save me all over again!"

"Wh–what are you saying?" He asked her, yet, he embraced the poor girl tightly. "Shh, stop crying now. I am here, and since you're with me, I will be your guardian angel...,"

"I was calling for your name but you can't hear me at all! I tried to find a way to go to my room but a howling, scaring wind blew up the curtains and... and I saw a beast–like a shadow!"

Halora sobbed and made his chest wet. She was scared to death until he remembered one person who has the ability to disturb him.

He clenched his jaw secretly, "Shh, stop crying now. Don't worry, those beasts are imaginary creatures found in the movies. Do you trust me, don't you?"

He lied about the truth. It was the best way to do but he knew it was one of the werewolves who hated him.

As he patiently comforted, rubbed gently her back, she finally stopped crying. She was certainly fine and prepared the food she cooked for supper.

"I'm sorry," he suddenly told her. "I...was listening to the songs on your laptop." He bowed his head, put aside the bread knife near the empty glass.

"I...it's fine! I... I mean, you don't have to protect me always because...," she paused, then suddenly sliced the pork into cubes. "Suit yourself, I'm living here by myself."

A deafening silence embraced the entire dining area. It was a simple place to eat supper but it became special because of the two teenagers who quietly seated in front of a circular table.

Halora never knew that he was looking at her way the entire time. He ate almost half of the foods she prepared, and he realized one thing special.

"Oh, are you done eating?"

"Yes," He replied shortly.

Halora shook her head, winked at him, and giggled. She quickly cleaned up the table until she noticed a glass of water.

She said, " Thank you," There was a glow of happiness in her eyes. It was genuine and came out of the blue, but still, she controlled herself not to be attached to the campus bad boy.

Halora washed the dishes with a smile on her lips. She never felt such peace in her entire life until a cool, handsome boy stepped out into her life and turned it upside down.

However, she forgot about the mysterious ring. The strange power that was embroidered on it by a great creature hundreds of years ago.

"Halora," spoke Sebastian who leaned back at the door. He was carrying his bag, looked at the wall clock, "It's time for me to go home."

"Take care," she replied, played with her fingers, and looked into the floor.

She was still scared yet, being with a man was not a perfect idea. She knew her limitations, she knew when to control her emotions.

Sebastian scooped a piece of paper into his pocket. He walked closer and gave it to her, "That's my number, save it for emergencies."

He told her and quickly turned his back on her. "Call my name and I'll be there for you," That was the last thing he told her about as he vanished from her sight.

Halora slowly touched her chest and leaned back at the door, "Is this my first love?"
