My Boyfriend Is A Campus Bad Boy

Chapter 53 - 53: The Grand Winners I

After almost three hours of the competition, the announcement of the top five pairs finalists has been commenced.

All of the delegates walked on stage, flaunted their glimmering gowns and extraordinary beauty.

"Tonight, we will be announcing the top five finalists among fifty-six pairs who joined in this contest. The top five pairs will automatically have the chance to win the crown, cash prizes, and of course, the essence of this year's search for beauty, brain, and individuality."

"Are you ready to meet the five pairs that will be given a chance to take home all the prizes, pride, and confidence?"

The crowd hailed, screamed, and cheered. Their loud voices weren't enough to show their supports to their favorites.

But even though all of them deserved to be the grand winner, the panel of the judges concluded, a surreal, fair decision that met with the guidelines and criteria.

The speakers closed their fists and requested the crowd to be silent. "Alright, we will be announcing their names randomly. It is not yet their final rankings. I repeat, whether they called last on the list, they have still the chance to make it."

Sandra smiled sweetly in front of her supporters while Roy looked straight at the girl from afar. He never wished to win any awards from the competition but when Halora stood with the banner she made, screaming his name at top of her lungs changed his thoughts.

"Congratulations to Jia Li and Huifen! The two of you have the chance to win. If your names won't be called, do not worry because you have still a chance to win the special awards."

"And now, to complete our leading finalists, the lucky delegates that made it to the top five are...,"

Sandra closed her eyes, hoped to be called by the speakers. Her heart had stopped pounding when her name wasn't announced before the fourth pair.

"Before we announce the names of the last pair, let us give a round of applause to the former King and Queen, Zhuang Min, and Zenith Thyne Woo!"

She was losing faith but not until Zenith and Zhuang Min walked on stage for their last walk as the former grand winners for almost three years in a row.

Zenith was wearing a glowing pale pink ball gown that fitted her figure and extraordinary beauty. Her hair was braided, decorated with precious pins.

She looked like a living doll with the dress that everyone wished to be. With elegance and confidence, she slew on stage as if she was truly a queen even without a crown on her head.

While Zhuang Min wore a simple black tuxedo with a blue bow.

"Wow! Such a beautiful young lady rocking on stage! Thank you Zenith for joining us tonight and any moment from now, you will be passing the crown to your successor."

"You're right, and tonight! The last pair to make it to the top five is...,"

"Please, grant my only wish! Please, God!" Out of desperation, Halora closed her eyes and prayed for her best friend's victory.

She always wanted the best for him until...,

"Congratulations because you make it this far, Sandra Coleen Lee and Roy Adrian!"

"Woah! You made it! You made it, Roy!" Halora jumped high because of the joy and happiness she felt.

She knew from the very beginning that they will win for the crown. "Congratulations to both of you!"

"She made it! She made it, finally! Go, Sandra! Slay and wear the crown!"

Roy embraced her tightly enough to make it difficult for her to breathe. Sandra tapped his back, whispered to his ears until he went back to his sense.

She said, "Yes, we made it!" But he remained calm and silent.

The campus crush's supporters turned wild ferocious when she made it to the top five finalists. Before announcing the grand winner, special awards will be inaugurated.

"Congratulations to all of you but before we jump into the scariest part of the competition, we have here the names of delegates who won the special awards."

The top five pairs stood in the middle of the stage. The girls waved their hands that made their supporters praised them.

Roy took a deep breath. He stared at Halora that suddenly waved her hands and gave him a thumbs up. He tried not to smile but he couldnt resist her charm and kindness.

"The most friendly delegates are... Huifen and Jia Li!"

"The most popular are... Sandra Le and Roy Adrian again!"

Five of the special awards were given to Sandra and Roy. Their tandem brought great conviction to their supporters and also to the panel of the judges who were satisfied with their answers.

They were the ones with lots of awards and sash. Roy amassed the most photogenic male delegates among the rest and the best in casual wear. He was also chosen as the new most influential student of the year.

On the other side, Sandra rolled her eyes when Jia Li got the award for best in an evening gown, casual wear in women, and the most loved by the crowd.

She envy of her but the speakers cleared their throats and said. "Alright, as we're getting closer to the end, we may call on the top five finalists for the awarding for the most eloquent, the runners– up and of course, the grand winner."

The tension between them became tremendous. No one has any plan of slipping away the once in a blue chance to be topped off by the former Queen and King.

The judges walked onto the stage to give the awards to the soon–to–be winners.

"And now, the fourth runner up is... Yeung Jin and to be awarded by our dearest principal, Selene Lee."

"Congratulations, and for the third runner up... Lao Hwang and to be awarded by Madam Sarah Woo."

"Let's move on to the second runner-up is... Si Wuan and to be awarded by Mr. Yong Li, one of the event's sponsors."

The remaining pairs were Jia Li and Huifen, Sandra and Roy from the same department.

The speakers took a deep breath and looked closely at the names written on the paper. Both of them reviewed the names several times until the right time has come.

"And now, the most eloquent is... Sandra Lee and Roy Adrian! Congratulations, you will be receiving 500 dollars each!"

Sandra expected to be the grand winner upon being awarded as most eloquent. She sneered, received the sash and cash prize with her head held high.

Jia Li rolled her eyes, stood still as she knew it wasn't yet over.

"And now, we will be announcing the grand winners' name and automatically, the name that wasn't being called will be the first runner up. Are you ready?"

"The Mr. and Ms. La Milanosa of the year are– congratulations to Jia Li and Roy Adrian!"

Sandra's world was torn apart when her name wasn't called by the speakers. She was left open-mouthed, failed to make it to the peak of success... once again in her life.
