My Boyfriend Is A Campus Bad Boy

Chapter 67 - 67: The Girl Who Will Never Yours

"I'm sorry! I... I was carried away by the cold wind!"

"I– it's fine, but thank you for wiping out all the sauce on my face." She giggled, stared at the slice of pizza she held with.

Halora secretly smiled while Sebastian looked into her shiny ginger–red hair. It reflected the city lights that brought power and life for a while.

Slowly, she lifted her head, glanced up to the dark, shady sky. She breathed smoothly as if she was totally fine and free. But she knew, he stared at her since earlier. She felt awkward, nervous at the same time until Halora turned her gaze at him.

"Hahaha! Look at your face now!" She burst into laughter.

Once in a while, Sebastian heard the real Halora. The sweet, adorable girl who never wanted to be seen, appreciated by the whole world, and most of all, the simple girl who only sought true, genuine happiness.

"Why are you laughing at me?"

Halora shook her head out of control. She wanted to tell him what's wrong but she gulped, put aside the slice of pizza off from her hand, and put her thumb on his lips.

"Hmm, you look handsome with or without it." She murmured and thought of it as a compliment.

Until a flush crept to his face. He knew it since he was younger but he felt fluttered when Halora said those words.

"I know right, you don't have to tell me every second or minute!" He told her but Halora stooped, put her index finger on his lips, and hushed him for a moment.

They looked at each other's eyes under the dark, gloomy night. Sebastian gasped, swallowed quickly as he savored the moment with her.

"I'm so– sorry, I... I didn't mean it b– but I just want you to know how lucky you are with the life you have in this world."

Amusement flaunted over her face despite all the good and bad experiences she went alone. For a long time, Halora felt lonely for living by herself in a simple yet beautiful house.

The smile on her face was shrouded by the agony she had kept within for a long time. Halora seemed for someone who will stay beside her, someone who she could cry and lean on.

Yet until this moment, she hasn't met the person who will take all the doubts, fears, and all what-ifs in her head.

She looked away from him, glanced at the breathtaking city lights, and took a deep, long sigh. "Sometimes I felt insecure about those people who have a complete family, a father and a mother who will be by my side no matter what. But somehow, I already accepted the truth, my faith that maybe– maybe I was born to be alone and abandoned."

"Don't say that! I know they are both watching his right now." He replied.

She faked a smile, giggled and they both watched over the beautiful scenery. Halora took a big slice of pizza and slowly ate it while Sebastian remained silent.

Before the night ended, two teenagers stayed on the ground, watched over the entire city with heavy feelings within their hearts.

Sebastian closed his eyes, cherished the cold breeze that touched his soul. He never thought of being with her that night but he enjoyed her company.

Little did he know, Halora leaned her head to his shoulders silently. It surprised him barely but he took a deep breath, tapped her face until she hit his warm hands.

"Don't touch my face! I just want to lean on your shoulders for a moment." She said, acted like they were more than just friends.

He smirked, "H– hey Halora! Don't you dare to sleep in here or I will throw you to the ground." Sebastian laughed at her but she did nothing but smelled his fragrant breath and shoulders.

That night, Sebastian controlled himself not to embrace Halora tightly. He knew after it all, he will end up in his mother's office and he has no other choice but to obey everything she wanted.

He wanted to know her more, not just because she was a simple girl but she was an extraordinary human being who taught him how to live happily.

"Sebastian?"

"Hmm?

"Have you ever fall in love with the girl who will never be yours?"

A question that brought back thousand of memories in the past. The same emotions, but different person, time, and place.

It took enough time for him to answer that question he tried to avoid. For so long, no one had ever dared to open up about it.

Everyone around him knew what happened in the past especially his grandfather, Lord Solomon. It was truly painful for Sebastian but he couldn't bring back the time.

"I... I don't know exactly b– but there was a girl who I always thought of every single day. To tell you honestly, you looked like the same, like how you move your body, how you speak, and– the way you smile. S– sometimes I even think that you are the girl that I met that sunny day at the cemetery."

"At the cemetery? When?"

"As far as I remembered, I was only ten that time. My family visited my grandmother's grave and I saw a young girl wearing a pale pink dress on the ground. I talked to her for a short time and from then on, I always tell Greg to send me to the cemetery where I met her but unfortunately– I've never had the chance to see her again until now."

Halora felt sorry for him but how she hoped she was the girl he searched for. She smiled, cleared her throat, and thought another question.

"B– by any chance, have you ever asked her name? Because of the way you describe her, all I can say is that– she's your first crush– and love."

"Cassia. Her name was Cassia."

She tilted her head, caressed her arms as it gave goosebumps all over her body. But the truth was, she felt a sudden pang of pain but Halora hid and kept it for her own sake.
