My Goalkeeping System

391 A Small House Party

When Dave told her that she was going to be blown away by the interior of the building, she thought he might have been exaggerating a bit, but now that she had just walked into the house, she knew he wasn't exaggerating.

Compared to their old house, the living room was quite large and they still managed to bring out that spherical look of the building there.

The roof was way high compared to their old house and the floor was neatly tiled with white tiles.

On the left was the kitchen and right in front of it was the dining area although the two areas were divided by a wall.

"Is that the kitchen?" Emma said as she quickly made her way to the area.

The kitchen was quite large and looked really nice with everything intact for her.

"You bought a new gas cooker?" She said before placing her hand on the gas cooker there.

"Yeah, but the microwave and the freezer are the old ones though." He said.

"Well, there was really no reason for you to buy a new gas cooker but thank you." She smiled.

Dave responded with a smile before grabbing her by her arm.

"Well, let's go upstairs then."

The stairs were quite high because the distance between the first floor and second floor was pretty high but it was nothing anybody couldn't climb.

The first place he showed her was the bathroom then he skipped all the other rooms because they were empty and went straight to their bedroom.

They were a total of six rooms including the bathroom upstairs, four of them were going to be empty for a while but he was going to figure out what to do with them in the future.

Entering the room now with his wife, she could see that it was way larger than she initially expected and could also see that he bought a new mattress which was really big.

There was a small couch by the side and although they were used to sharing a wardrobe back at their old house, Dave made sure to get two wardrobes this time.

There was also a bathroom by the corner. No doubt, the room was quite impressive and Emma liked it.

"Wow, this mattress is so soft." She said as she slowly sat down on it with her hand moving on its surface.

"I know, that's why I bought it," Dave said.

"This place is really nice, I never thought there was a house like this for sale in this area." She said as she kept looking around the room.

"Well, there wouldn't have been one if it wasn't for Clark, and then we might have had to move far away from this area." He said.

"I'm not sure I would mind."

"Really?"

"Yeah, if you buy me a car."

"Oh."

"Ha, I'm just kidding." She said with a little chuckle. "But still, getting to work would be hard if we move far away from this area so you'll have to take me there every day."

<Don't you think it's about time you bought her a car and make her life easier?>

'Hey, keep quiet I'm waiting for something, don't you think it has been on my mind for a long time now.'

"So, what's going to happen to the old house now?"

"I've locked it up for now, the most likely to happen is selling it but I haven't decided on that for now." He expressed.

"Okay." She said before she crashed down on the bed and quickly pulled herself up. "So how much did you spend?"

"You mean how much did I spend on the house?"

"Yeah, but not just that, everything else." She said.

"Um… the house itself cost one point six million euros and then combined with every other thing we bought, it's close to one point eight million euros."

"Wow, you sure spent a lot of money today." She said before crashing down on the bed again.

"Yeah, but it was very necessary," Dave said as he walked to the mattress and sat beside her. "Now, we don't have to worry about those crazy fans again and even if they do find here, they won't be able to disturb us with this fence."

"Yeah." She muttered.

"So, how was work today?" He asked before leaning closer to her.

"Less stressful than usual, it was fine." She replied.

"And how's my little girl doing?" He asked before placing his hand on her stomach.

"He feels way happier now that his mother is in a comfortable home where she won't be disturbed."

"Hmmm, what if they're two of them in there?"

"You mean like a pair of twins?" She inquired.

"Yeah, a boy and a girl."

"No, if I'm going to give birth to twins they're both going to be boys." She said,

"Hey, you don't even want to give me a chance, and besides you don't even have the power to determine the gender."

"We'll see about that when I go for that ultrasound scan next month." She said before getting up from the bed. "But enough about that, I'm going to take a shower."

Dave kept his gaze on her as she got up from the bed removed her clothes and wrapped a towel around her body ready to head to the bathroom whichever one it was.

"Are you coming?" She turned to him after she got to the door leading to the bathroom in the bedroom.

"Um….sure." He said with a nod before getting up on his feet.

______ _______

Dave was thinking of inviting some of his teammates over to his house on Saturday but because they had a training session that day and not on Sunday, he pushed it over to Sunday.

He invited only teammates that he was really close to and that included Merino, Frankie, Adolf, Minino, Roland, and of course his best bud Mateo.

Although he had patched things up with Ferran, he asked his wife before inviting him and her answer was an obvious no.

Apart from that, both Adolf and Roland said they weren't going to be able to make it and that left him with only Merino, Minino, Frankie, and Mateo.

Martha surprised her daughter with a visit that Sunday morning and she was really glad she decided to come visit her that morning because she wasn't really feeling well and Dave was busy running around to set things up for his teammates who were coming over.

Apart from his teammates, there was one more person Dave invited and he didn't even tell Emma about it.

She was sitting on the couch with her gaze on Dave who was setting up a couple of tumblers on the table when the doorbell from the gate suddenly rang.

"I wonder who that could be." He muttered before quickly making his way out of the house to open the gate.

He could have opened it from inside but he wanted to see who it was.

<You know you could install a camera there to make your life easier>

'I was talking about that with Clark yesterday have you forgotten?'

<I was only making sure you haven't forgotten>

'Hmph.'

The goalkeeper had gotten close enough to the gate now as he pushed one of the buttons in the remote controller to open the smaller part of the gate.

Now that it was open, Clark walked into the area, but he wasn't alone, he had Emilia with him and she had her arms wrapped around his left arm.

Clark was dressed casually in white shorts and a black shirt while Emilia was putting on a black dress with a blue jacket, she also had her hair tied back in a ponytail.

"You didn't tell me you were bringing her," Dave said with a surprised expression on his face.

"Well, I wasn't planning to until this morning."

"Hey, Emilia, it's been a while." The goalkeeper said after turning her gaze to her.

"Yeah, it's been a while, how are you all doing?"

Emma was quite glad that Emilia decided to join Clark now she was sure that she wasn't going to feel left out.

Martha was also glad to see her other daughter.

It didn't take long before Dave's teammates began to arrive until there was only one person left for everyone to be there

Everyone was busy speaking to each other and of course, Minino was asking Dave when he was going to open the wine.

Emilia was speaking with Emma and Mateo was busy having a chat with his mother in front of the kitchen.

Dave was laughing at a joke made by Frankie when he suddenly heard a ding.

"That must be Merino."

"Don't worry, I'll get it," Emilia said before picking up the remote key from the table.

"Okay," Dave said and just watched her as she walked out of the house.

She didn't walk far from the door before pushing the button to open the smaller part of the gate.

After the gate opened, a blonde-haired woman walked into the area and the person happened to be Amber.

"Mrs. Emma, when did you dye your hair red?" She asked with a confused expression on her face before Emilia could say anything.

"Hey, Emilia…"

Emma wasn't able to finish what she was saying as she walked out of the door as she was surprised to see Amber there.

Amber was now looking back and forth between the two with a shocked expression on her face.

"You have a twin?"
