Chapter 56 - Training before wave

3 days later.

Kakashi is late again and unlike in Canon, I don't feel like being a lazy person, so while waiting for Kakashi to arrive, I encourage Naruto to train with Rem and I. After an hour of Kakashi being late, I approach naruto, who is napping on a log. I proceed to poke him on the forehead Repeatedly. "No, Sakura, I promise I will go on a date with you la-" Rem appears lightning-fast and punches him on the head. "HEY! What was that for! I was dreaming that Sakura finally asked me out on a date!" Rem looks pissed, "One, We're a shinobi team, you should have reacted the second William started poking you on the forehead! Two, What you were muttering pissed me off, Sakura hates you," He flinches, "And Hinata has had the biggest crush on you since 2 years ago in the academy!"

I shrug, and say,"She isn't wrong, Hinata has it bad for you." His eyes widen, comically, and then he proceeds to attempt to deny what we are saying. "Naw, there's no way someone like Hinata likes me, she's perfect and would probably never look at me like that ever."

We both deadpan at him like he's the biggest idiot ever, "Naruto, that's the dumbest thing I've ever heard." We both say at the same same time. I grin at Rem, and Look at naruto, "If you don't believe us, then let's go over and invite Team 8 to train with us! You'll be the one trying to convince Hinata, and if she blushes really hard and then faints when you ask her to train with you, then it's confirmed, don't worry, Kakashi will be at least another 3 hours."

We make our way to training ground 8, and we see Kurenai helping Kiba to control a new Jutsu, while Shino is sparring with Hinata, who is losing badly.

"Hey, Jonin Sensei of team 8, May I have a word with you and your team?" I approach her, Grinning. "That's Kurenai Sensei to you brats, Aren't you supposed to be with Kakashi?" I nod, frowning, "this is the 4th day that he's 4 hours late, I think he expects us to train before he gets there, and then do our 2 D-Rank Missions for the day." Rem shrugs, as Naruto finishes talking to Hinata, who promptly turns scarlet and faints, naruto freezes, and then I turn back to Kurenai, "If we can train with your team, I think we should be able to become super strong, super fast. she nods, "Sound logic but," She points at naruto who seems to be panicking, "If Hinata always faints when Naruto is here, I don't think she'll get much training done." I nod and wave her concern away, "I'm sure she'll get used to him. after a few days," Hinata starts getting up, looks at the panicking naruto, and somehow muscles through it, "See! She's already adapting." Kurenai nods, and we all make our way back to training ground 7. Which I suppose is now training ground 78.

Or something.

A month and a half of training and D-Rank missions pass without incident, Kakashi and Kurenai agreed to give us joint training after being reprimanded for being lazy, and both teams got a lot stronger for it.
