My Little Spirit Kitty

After a long night, I was wake up by something heavy on both my arms, but also on my c.h.e.s.t. Opening my eyes I was able to look at two angry eyes that were looking at me just in front of me.

"Morning Yumi! Did you sleep very well?" Did I ask to the little girl that was on my c.h.e.s.t while she was pouting at me.

"Hmph, maybe I would have a better sleep if I did join you as well…" Did she reply me while she was looking at Linoa and her sister that both were using my arms as a pillow and was having a happy smile on their face.

Hearing our little conversation, Linoa and Phoebe finally awake as well, making me able to get back my poor arms but still can't get up yet due of someone was still on my c.h.e.s.t, at least until I apologize and promise her to authorize to sleep with me tonight.

"Hikari, what do you think about our last night conversation?" Did I ask while we were following Linoa and Sixten to the dining room for take our breakfast after we wake up Yuuki as well.

"I think it's a nice idea, specially that they can also lot help you as well since they are good at using magic."

"I know, I just wondering if we will be able to help them as well and what else may happen to us…"

"Don't worry, Natsumi and I are also here with you while Frosty and Eldräv are here for Linoa and her brother."

"Hmm, I think you are right, I just had to see what will happen and act about it when it appear. Let just enjoy our Christmas eve tonight first and then let see if the rumor about of the white spirit tiger for Yumi is true or not…" Did say while looking at both Midori and her sister, Raven.

For some reason, the pixies decide by themselves to choose someone among us to stick around. Phoebe got Solène on her shoulder while Raven decide to go with Yumiko, followed by her sister and Amélia, with Lilith the last pixie, were both right now with me. Well Lilith was more like to be on Hikari's back, while looking at her riding Hikari like a knight, next to me.

After the breakfast, my grand-pa bring us all outside the garden near the forest as excuse that he wants to show us something, but I didn't expect suddenly teaching us a magical snowball fight, making everyone having big eyes while listening to him.

"Ok kids, first le me show you about the spell to create snowballs… < Viburnum Proelium! >" Did he shout.

Suddenly five small snowballs appear in front of him before moving toward a target that he did choose while pointing his wand. Surprisedly his wand was a black wood wand compare to us, which was more colorful and had a metallic reflect on it.

After some training, everyone was finally able to cast this spell with a correct numbers of snowballs as well and shout toward a specific target with quiet good accuracy, it was time to make some teams among the kids and a.d.u.l.ts since they was also want to join us as well.

At first I was plan to make a fight between the a.d.u.l.ts vs the kids, until Sakura decide to fight against her husband with her evil smile on her face. So we finished with 'Team Takashi', which include Claes, Yuuki and Yumiko, VS 'Team Sakura', which include Linoa, Phoebe and I. Since my mother, and look like my aunt as well, they are both not playing and become the healer in each team, even if they are just provide hot choco and warm towels while my grand-pa Gösta will be the judge.

The rules are quiet simple:

First, we can only use spells that use or control snow.

Second, the two teams will have to fight against snowmen create by my grand-pa and my grand-ma and they can't attack each other's directly (It's to prevent the difference between kids and a.d.u.l.t control power).

Third, the person who got hit three times by a snowball will have to be out for one minute.

Fourth, the first team who reach the flag, which is at the middle distance of both teams, will win.

Fifth, we are not allowed to use our spirit beast in this game.

And finally, before the game start, each team will have five minute to prepare their strategy.

Being with my team on the east side of the garden while the other team was on the west side, we start to prepare our plan.

"Ok kids, the easiest way will be to go straight and quick, for it I will create some snowmen around us to guard us…" Start Sakura before being interrupting by me.

"Why not make even more easier and go by the sky?" Did I say to them

"Huh? And how are you going to do it?" Ask me Sakura.

"Simple, I will just use an alternative spell of the snowball spell enough big to make me able to stand on it and fly up to the flag."

"Do you really think that it will be that easy young boy?" Say Sakura while looking at me.

< Draco Nix > Did I chant for then a little snow dragon appear in front of us while flying around us according to my wand swing.

"Hmm yes, I think it can work… Of course I will create a bigger one for carry two of us!" Did I say in front of the three speechless girls who were looking at me.

"Sigh… But that will not be enough to win the battle, you will be an easy target in the sky." Say helplessly Sakura.

"I know, that why I need everyone to do something as well to cover our approach."

"Ohh and what do you need?" Ask Linoa.

"First, I will need Sakura to create a snow clone of me and Phoebe, to avoid any suspicion of our plan and give us some extra time while in the same time."

"Then I want you to create a small snowstorm, but if possible to make it like more a typhoon and have no storm in its center, where the flag is, giving Phoebe and I an opportunity to go directly straight to it from the sky. Do you think you can do it?" Did I ask Linoa while looking at her.

"Che… You really know how to make things more complicate…"

"And me? What I will do?" Asked Phoebe

"You will support me by making snowballs to counter any attack from the ground when we will ride the snow dragon."

"So what do you think about this?" Did I ask them while smiling at them.

"Well, for sure it's an usual way to do, but specially about this it may work as well. The problem will be how big you can make the snow dragon and your control about it." Say Sakura while thinking about the probability to win in this way.

While both Linoa and Phoebe was quiet exciting about this plan, especially Phoebe since she will be able to ride the snow dragon in the sky. She still remember how it was nice to fly when her mother first show them the levitation spell and make them fly all around their playing room.

"Linoa, don't think too much about the storm, make it more focus close to the ground, we only need to cover our approach from the sky" Did I ask her.

"Don't worry, leave it to me!" Did she say while smiling at me

"So if there is no more questions, let's be ready!"

Both Linoa and Sakura walk front of us, wands in their hands and waiting the starting signal while Phoebe and I sit a few behind, ready to change our place with the clones. When suddenly the siren announce the beginning of the battle.

< Nix Tempestas > Chant Linoa, making a snowstorm appearing in front us for then being following by Sakura.

< Geminus Nix > Two snowmen suddenly appear while slowly changing form to look like Phoebe and Hiroki.

"Ok Phoebe, are you ready?" Did I ask her seeing all the preparation was done.

< Draco Nix > Did I chant at my turn after seen Phoebe who nodded at me for then a dragon of three meter appear in front of us.

Seeing this big dragon, everyone get a little chock by the size of it compare to the small one I did earlier, specially that Linoa and Phoebe just learn to make magical snowballs and it was not that easy to control them to hit the target, so how much harder may it be with this long snow dragon…

"Hurry up Phoebe, take the seat behind me!" Did I tell her while climbing on the dragon's neck where there were two seats I did make as well for us.

"Sigh… What a little monster…" Whisper Sakura when she saw us start to fly in the sky before disappear in the snowstorm.

"Yeah… I am agree!" Confirm Linoa.

"Well you too you are as same as him…" Reply Sakura while she was looking at the snowstorm in front of them.

Smiling at each other's, Sakura and Linoa start to enter to the snowstorm followed by the two clones of Phoebe and Hiroki next to them while chanting the snowball spell and starting to attack the snowmen that were in front of them.

They didn't had time to even cover half of the distance to where was the flag that they again hear the siren, meaning the end of the game and certainly their victory, except if the other team was even faster than them.

"Hi grand-pa, grand-ma…" Did heard both Gösta and Blenda behind them while seeing their grandson riding a snow dragon and taking the flag while two snowballs was flying directly to them, unable to stop it on time due to their sudden surprised.

"What…" Said Gösta just before receiving the snowball on their face.

"Hahaha… The chief of my security group defeated by a six years old kid… Hahaha" Shout suddenly a voice behind us while laughing.

"Nicholai? Why are you here?" Asked suddenly my grand-pa while putting the fresh snow out of his face.

"Can't I be here with my granddaughter and her friends for the Christmas Eve?" Did asked Nicholai Helwina, the actual leader of Northden country.

"Even thought, I lot enjoy seeing my son in law nephew kicking your b.u.t.t. But I was not able to let your dear wife being hit by the snowball, right Blenda?"

"Thanks Nicholai! Where is Ingrid?" Say Blenda while seeing at the snowball that did stop a few cm front of her face while smiling at him.

"She is with Isabelle and her friend. So I suppose you are the famous Hiroki, aren't you? And this young lady behind you is…?" Did he ask us.

"I am Phoebe, nice to meet you sir." Say Phoebe while going down from the snow dragon.

"And me, yes I am Hiroki hmm… President Helwina?" Did I reply him.

"Haha don't need to call me that way, we are in the same family after all, just call me grand-pa as same as your cousins. Talking about her, there she is!" Did he say while winking at me and saying hello at the people coming.

"Grand-pa!!" Shout Linoa while running to him followed by Sakura which she has a big smile on her face when she see me holding the flag while her husband was just arriving as well.

"Did you see us winning?" Did she ask proudly.

"Yes, it was very well done! I am proud of you and I am also lot impress by you too!" Did he say while looking at me too.

"Sigh… Honey don't you think you helped them too much in this battle?" Asked Takashi to his wife.

"What do you mean?"

"You are wrong Takashi, the one who make the plan was Hiroki. Sakura and well Linoa as well only follow his idea, right Ichijou?" Did ask Nicholai since both of them was looking at the battle from the outside.

"True, your idea to make an ice tunnel with a sledge for avoid the snowmen and in fact the snowstorm as well was also a nice idea Claes, but it took more time than Hiroki's plan to go by the sky!" Reply Ichijou, glad that he didn't join them and use the excuse to take care of his wife.

Both of them look at us and then at the long snow dragon that was still behind us with chock and then at Sakura who nodded at them to confirm this while Yuuki and Yumiko felt a little sad to lost but also lot enjoy it too.

"Ok, let's go back home to drink a little hot choco for everyone!" Said Blenda, making and end.
