My Little Spirit Kitty

After enjoying a nice dinner with everyone and catching up the recent news happened this last three months since he left for his research program, he turned his head to the reason of his sudden return.

"So.. This is the little brat who make my little wife calling me back" Said Takashi while looking at Hiroki, and more precisely at Hikari, Hiroki's spirit beast.

"We are sorry to disturb you during your research project" Said timidly Ayumi and Isabelle.

"Don't worry, I was also need to take a short break to relax a few.. And it's been a long time since I didn't enjoy my dear wife cooking. So it's ok" Smiling back at his lovely wife

"By the way Helwina, Solwabeck, I met your parents before leaving and they gave me some gift for both of you when they heard I was going to meet you" Said Takashi while checking his luggage.

"Takashi, I already told you to call me Isabelle, or at least Nogaro. Don't compare me with Claes" Reply Isabelle Helwina with a big smile on her face while remembers what happened to her childhood friend few days ago.

"Sigh.. At least someone still remember my name" Reply helplessly Claes Solwabeck while looking at his wife and son who had to keep their Nogaro's family name due to a special agreement they had with his wife's family.

"Me too I love you honey!" Reply his wife smiling at him while sticking her tongue out.

"How about my dad? Did he give you any fund and support for your research?" Asked Isabelle while ignoring them.

In Fact, Takashi Howasada, greatest scientist of his generation was actually working for Northden's Group which was lead by Isabelle's father Nicholai Helwina and actual leader of the Northden country.

Takashi was actually a great scientist and he was actually in charge of an 'Environment Protection' project in the eyes of the publics while in truth he also need to check and monitor the natural ecosystem of the spirit beasts and magical creatures living in that area and their interaction with the human's world.

But he was also protecting them from magicians who hunt them for making magic items with their magical cores, skins, furs or even bones that was quiet rare materials and a lot demanding from magicians in the black market.

While Claes's father, who was a close friend of Nicholai Helwina, was the leader of the Northden's Group main security which was also helping Takashi against the illegal poaching that was in their country past decades.

"Yes he is, he really lot care about his country and about all the species who lives there. And with the help of Claes's father and his security team, we were able to make lot improvement for their protection." Reply Takashi proudly.

Taking his luggage to the living room and starting to unpack his scientific tools and instruments while looking at the two little babies…

"Ok.. Let's take a look at our two little brats and their little spirit beast" Said Takashi.

"One of the reason why it's so hard to find a spirit beast and make a magical contract with it's because of their natural 'shape changing' skill."

"They can disguise themselves in various common species, like the kitten or the puppy in front of us." Explain Takashi while putting several jewels and something look like a projector on the small table next to him.

There was in all nine precious stones such as Emerald, Onyx, Ruby, Aquamarine, Amethyst, and Diamond.

Each stone was at least as big as an a.d.u.l.t thumb if not bigger, showing the rarity and value of these stones.

"One of the other reason why it's hard to find spirit beast it's that we also need some rare stone that can be used to reveal the real beast appearance via a magical projector create with rare magic items, making it a lot valuable as well" Continuing his explanation while installing his 'magical projector'.

"And the last most important point is that the spirit beast must not escape the range of the projector light, which in general are quiet fast! Alright.. Which one of the two spirit beasts do we start with?" Asked Takashi while looking at his wife

Seeing that Ayumi and Isabelle wasn't care by which one of the spirit beast we first test, she makes her own choice.

"Let's keep the little brat's kitty for the end! So let's start with the little white puppy!" Choose Sakura

"Ok.. Let's start then!"

One by one, Takashi took different jewel from their respective jewel box without any change appears around the little white puppy when he project bright light bean of different colors.

"Could it be...", Whisper Takashi while looking as Isabelle and Claes and taking the rare Moonstone jewel.

Just after turning on again his projector after put the Moonstone, a shadow of a white baby fox surround the little white puppy.

It was 4-5 times bigger than his puppy size, almost as big as Yuuki who was sitting close to them on the sofa.

"FUC*.. What's happening?? How is it possible??" Swear Takashi while looking at what appear in front of his eyes

Takashi turned his head to Ichijou and Isabelle with his jaw almost touching the ground.

Even if there were also some spirit fox in this country, it would be understandable to see one of the local species here.

But what was in front of him was a Snow Fox, one of a rare spirit beast in the world since its only live in one place on the world, in Northden where he just came from and which where was his actual research project, to analyze and protect the natural ecosystem of the local spirit beast, the Snow fox!

"What's wrong Takashi?" Asked Isabelle while seeing his chocking face

"When it's the last time both of you return to Northden?" Asked Takashi while readjusting his glasses on his nose.

In fact, he was trying to regain his calm and try to find some logical explanation about what just happened in front of him.

"Hmm.. We were supposed to go there last Christmas but Yuuki got sick, so we cancel our trip.. Doesn't it Isabelle?" Asked Ichijou to his wife.

"Yes.. So that's mean we only went there last year, in July for our summer vacation to show our little Yuuki to my parents and relatives." Confirmed Isabelle.

Both of them were looking at each others wondering why he suddenly asked them about it.

"Takashi! Is this what I am thinking of?" Asked suddenly Claes after realizing the chock on Takashi face while looking at the little fox that was in front of him.

In fact, since his father was the leader of the Northden's security group, he had read some rare books talking about the different clans and species that were living there when he was young, including the spirit beast group who was living there.

"Yes you are right Claes, it's a Snow Fox! A rare spirit beast, which only live in Northden country." Nodded Takashi to Claes

"How is it possible?" Suddenly asked Isabelle and Ayumi who both realize what they was saying and why it was chocking them

In Fact, how it was possible that a spirit beast that only live in more than 15,000km away suddenly appear here with no apparent reason??

"Honestly, if both of Ichijou and Isabelle did in fact back in Northden during the last Christmas vacation, it would be probable that something happened during their trip, even if it has a low probability, but it was still possible.." Continue Takashi

"However, since their last trip was during last summer, in July, it makes the probability quiet inexistent.. Right honey?" Deduct Sakura

"Correct.." Nod Takashi while looking back a the 'Snow Fox' which was also looking at him

In some rare situation, it can happen that the spirit mother can hide her baby in the human if her life is in danger.

That was also the main goal of Takashi's project, to protect the local species and provide them a safe environment.

However, the actual Snow Fox has clearly a magical contract with the little Linoa, which was quietly impossible to happened during the summer trip, since she was even not yet create at that time, while it would be more possible during their Christmas vacation if they was there.

The spirit mother would be able to create a temporary contract and hide her baby inside the future human or magician baby even if it was not yet totally formed in his/her mother's belly.

"I wonder if… " Thought Takashi while looking at Linoa and her spirit best and then at his wife, more precisely at his wife's belly and his future two daughters.
