My Marriage To A Mute Alpha

Volume 1 Chapter 12 - ch12

After that day, Xiang and Suho didn’t meet up even once. Xiang was engrossed in his work and Suho with his. Neither did they call nor meet up. Xiang only attended a dinner that was requested by his in-laws. Everybody was present except for Suho. Rather than being sad, Xiang was quite happy he didn’t show up as he didn’t know how to face him and was quite in solace. The outside world saw them as a match made in heaven. But it was only Xiang and Suho who knew what they honestly were.

The wedding was scheduled to be in two months. But those two months passed by in the blink of an eye. Xiang was feeling quite remorseful about doing this. He couldn’t envision the faces of his parents when they come to know about the truth. From the first day he entered the Shi family until now, he worked hard to the point of not even letting his parents frown. But he knew that all his hard work was going to go in vain only because of this wedding.

The day of the wedding had finally arrived. Xiang always believed that everything would turn out well when he slowly gets used to it. But that was not the case in this situation.

Even though they were known all over Japan, both families decided to keep the marriage private. Each family had individually announced to the public that their son was getting married, but they didn’t announce when and who they are getting married to. The only one who knows about it is Xiang’s brother. But, it had been taken care of by connections.

The wedding was held at a modest but magnificent church, whose location was only known to a few elites in the country. Decorated with roses, ribbons, and bows, the hall filled with smiling people and with children running around the pillars in circles – it was more than one could ever ask for.

Xiang was getting ready for the wedding. It was the first time Xiang asked for something from his mother personally— He wanted his mother to dress him up. His mother gently brushed her fingers through his hair, straightened it out and braided small pastel flowers and precious stones into it, making his hair look like a piece of art. Xiang wore a Satin white shirt, paired with matte black pants. He was gorgeous as a diamond. His mother couldn’t take her eyes off him. She then removed a pendant she was wearing and put it around Xiang.

“Mother, What is it?”

“Xiang, this is your wedding gift from me. You know, when I got married, my mother passed it on to me. She requested me to pass it on to my future child just like her. I can’t believe that the day has finally come. Always remember to wear it. Mother will always be with you, Xi. Everything will be alright.”

His mother hugged him tightly and cried on his shoulder without letting out a sound while patting his back. It seemed to Xiang as if his mother saw through him. Xiang buried his head on his mother’s shoulders and started to cry.

“I’ll try my best mom; I’ll try my best.”
