The next day, Xiang got discharged. When he exited the hospital, more than twenty bodyguards were standing in perfect order. Behind them stood five Black cars. They even had people to assist them. Xiang was confused.

When they got inside the car, “Now you are our son, Xi. You are a part of the Shi family now!”

Xiang gasped. “The sh…sh…i…shi family!”

“Yes Xi, what’s wrong?”

“I have heard this name somewhere!”

“That’s because we are in the business circle. We are one of China’s largest finance group.”

“But, aren’t you guys omegas? How are you guys so powerful?”

“Who told you that Xi?” asked the woman.

“All the people around me.”

The woman took Xi on her lap and while patting his head said, “Whether you’re an Alpha, Omega or a beta- it doesn’t define who you are.”, “Xi, you’re the one who chooses who you want to be, not the society.” “We’re your parents now. We will provide you with all the things you need to make you successful and happy in your life.”

“Promise that you guys won’t abandon me, mom and dad,” said Xiang.

The couple hugged Xiang and said “Promise.”

When they reached home, Xi stayed outside for literally….literally! half an hour! gazing at the house of the Shi family.

The couple laughed and said “Xi, you don’t need to look at it like that. You’re going to live in this house for the rest of your life, you know!”

Xi chuckled and said, “My “biological” dad always boasted that his house was the biggest in the country. I want to see his face when he sees this!”

The couple laughed.

The father lifted Xiang and placed him on his shoulder and the three went to the front door.

When they opened the door, a huge family was standing in front of them holding a huge banner which said, “Welcome home Xiang!!!!!!!!”

Xiang with his eyes filled with tears turned to his father and looked at him.

“This is our family Xiang! Welcome home!”

Xiang finally had a place he could call home and a bunch of people he could call his family.

The Shi family was a huge one. It took about three hours for everyone to introduce themselves and Xiang to get to know them- two pairs of grandparents; three cousins; and two pairs of uncle and aunt; Xiang’s parents and himself – made the beautiful Shi family.
