Mysterious Martial Cultivator

Volume 1 Chapter 2 The City Of Paradistan

As time progressed, the relationship between the species in the planet changed as well. It is true no matter the age that there are no “eternal friend only eternal benefits.” Humans built a better relationship with their beastman counterpart as well as with those dwarves and a few sub species of elves. The Coastal city of Paradistan was the living embodiment of their relationship.

The prosperous beautiful costal city was the pearl of the entire human kingdom. It connected the two continents that were separated by sea. The beastman living on the opposite side provided a natural support to the humans for their rivalry against the elves. The buzzling streets, filled with wide variety of markets was not only the most prosperous place in the kingdom but also the only place filled with people who different races. From a modern day point of view, it could be called a multiracial society with vibrant economy and tremendous potential. Perhaps one day, a sight like this could be seen across the entire planet. Perhaps racial domination could be forgotten and harmony could be established between the races of the Evergreen planet. For now though, such a luxury can only be dreamt of, thus such a place became a paradise for everyone.

Lightning cracked through the sky bringing tremendous rain as it struck our coastal city. The water level rising brought fears of a beast horde attack along with a tsunami. In the tense atmosphere of the city everybody had forgotten about the happy atmosphere in one of the most influential households of the city.

Li Hao was trolling in the corridors of a resting room, frantically panicking due to the labour of his wife.

Li Chen, the head of the household spoke assuringly “Wei Xiamoning is the best female doctor in the entire human kingdom. Nothing will happen to your child. Rather look at the commotion he is causing in the city. This little kid had not been born yet and is still causing such a phenomenon in the city. He is sure to achieve great things as he grows up.”

Li Yu teasingly said to her brother “It is best if he is not lazy, what if he becomes like a prodigal son”

Li Hao forgot his tension bringing forth the majesty of a top cultivator with a serious face “The son of Li Hao being a waste is better to not exist. Our Li family does not need such a son at all”

A shocking thunderbolt crashed into the courtyard of the Li family where the conversation was taking place. All three were protected due to the magical formation of the courtyard, otherwise the consequences would have been severe. The beasts howling reached the ears of the city guards. An orange flash illuminated the sky before disappearing into the delivery room.

A painful mourn was heard from the delivery room, before an excited nurse came out with the news of the child birth.

Li Hao rushed inside to find a baby that was huge in size when compared to those he had seen before. He carefully lifted the baby only to find it to be 7 kg. He thanked the Gods watching the delicate face of his wife who had passed out while giving birth. It was really a miracle that she was able to give birth to him without complications.

As the baby sprayed mucus on his face, Laughing he gently scolded the baby “Really the first time you see your father you have dirtied my face.” There was no anger in his voice though but gentleness, pride and gratitude as he watched the baby who did not cry when seeing him but was mischievous instead.

Li Chen came forward taking the boy in his arms “Look my grandson is smiling at me! Hahaha! He smiles the moment I take him in my arms! He must have recognised his grandfather.

Xi Xurou came forward taking the boy in her arms “Look those eyebrows are so similar to Hao’er. He looks exactly like his father. We could even recognize him in a field of babies.”

The chattering continued as the hall was filled with laughter and smiles.

Upon seeing her daughter-in-law wake up, Xi Xurou commanded a maid “Go fetch the nourishment soup from the kitchen. It has been really hard on her. Such a fat boy born from her frail body, she needs to rest properly.”

Taking the baby with her she gave it to Han Xue.

Han Xue had a tired face full of fatigue. Sweat was covering her hair, face and body. She embraced the baby and looked at it with a gentle smile with endless love. She knew in her heart that no matter what happens she will protect him from danger even at the cost of her life. Such is the life of a mother who gives birth to a child.

The festive atmosphere in the clan continued for a few days before everything turned to normal. However, unknown to them a conspiracy was brewing in the very courtyard that the baby was born. An enemy in the dark is much deadlier than one in the light.

Two years passed by in the blink of an eye as the baby grew up into a mischievous chubby child.

An ordinary sunny day turned to be one of the most tragic ones in the history of the coastal city of Paradistan. In a move unprecedented in history, shadow elves attacked the city of Paradistan, sweeping through the great clans situated in the city with multiple assassination. Direct lineages were eliminated, woman were r.a.p.ed and murdered, some babies were cooked and eaten as well. Owners of the families changed hands as the population in the city in the city decreased tenfolds. Whole sections of beastman and other species were executed. A paradise turned to hell as looting, killing and **** signified the start of a regime that changed the fundamental nature of the city.

One of the perpetrators and mastermind was the second master of the Li Clan Li Dongwu. He personally murdered his parents along with his sister and brother.

Han Xue was carrying her baby as she fled from the city through the secret channel in the clan. She never imagined a day would come when she a frail lady had to escape from a clan of cultivators in chase. As she saw came out of the tunnel, she saw a river with a boat parked next to the bank of the river. This was the only escape route for her and her child. She had a low cultivation but she pedalled the boat for two days without eating finally managed to arrive in a forest which was dangerous in the extreme sense. She had lost her strength and was close to the limit when she heard a roar from the forest. Deliberately keeping the child close to a tree she ran trying to attracting the attention of the tiger as she led it into the another direction. She did not know whether her child will survive, but this forest usually has a lot of cultivators. She hoped that her child will be pitied by one as tears cam trickling down her face. She knew she was an incompetent mother for not being able to protect her child. She had no choice though as this gave the baby a slim chance to survive in a dangerous environment.

Amazingly though the baby survived with no beasts approaching it, an orange light covering it for a whole day before he reached a place known as paradise for perverted man.
