New Emperor Of Ghouls

Chapter 29 - 29: Heaven Player Platform

Zhong Yi stood at the head of the small convoy outside the village. It had grown visibly over the days he wasn't here. He could sense more presences in the village than before, but he felt something was missing.

They had crowded around the entrance cheering over his return and what looked like a successful conquest.

"PAPA!!!"

He saw a small figure running outside the village heading towards him dragging another figure with her. Kneeling down to one knee, Zhong Yi opened his arms welcoming the impact from the tackle like hug from his little girl.

"I missed you, papa." her big eyes were misty from the tears building up in them.

He gently smiled while wiping the tears. "I missed you, more."

He picked her up, holding her with one side and cushioned her head on his shoulder. The joy he felt at the mysterious voices words came back at full force and he just wanted to hud the death out of this little girl belonging to him, but he had a rep to maintain in front of humans.

"Your majesty, when you were gone the Sacred village upgraded as well as the surrounding villages. They reached intermediate." Zhong Yi simply carried on walking letting the convoy enter behind him.

"We will address that at a later date. For now, There is a legacy to claim."

"Wait for me to finish this, I promise we will have all the time in the world to play the games you wanted." Zhong Yi gazed into the eyes of the girl holding complete trust. It warmed him to his core, especially now.

No more second thoughts and mistrustful ideas

She nodded in response and hugged his leg placing the side of her head on his side while looking for any signs of deception in her father's eyes.

To the left of the wooden village hall was a clear space of 12 metres. The building which was originally there was moved to the outskirts and no one questioned it. Zhong Yi was unsure of what the residents thought he did, but from their worshipful gazes, it would be better to leave it up to their gazes.

He separated from Zhong Mei and moved to the centre of the space where a crown was. The crown was a white colour made from an unknown material with red jewels embedded into it along with golden dragons wrapped around each other circling the entire crown.

It was floating just above the ground wrapped in a red bubble. Minister Cheng told him everyone who approached it had a pressure pressed down on them and the closer they were to it, the harder it was.

Struck by a moment of brilliance, Minister Cheng thought of having the new soldiers trained under it and the results were amazing. It was as if they were around as long as the more experienced soldiers were. Their body alone had strengthened and with spirit energy to saturate the hungry muscles. The idea was brought to the scholars who are coming up with a gravity array or something like that.

Anyway, Zhong Yi didn't feel this pressure. Instead, he felt something beckoning him to approach, to place the crown on his head, and he gave in.

There wasn't any reason not to.

Suddenly, bricks started to form underneath his feet raising him above the ground, till a stone platform was formed underneath him. It rose till they were 18 metres of the ground and covered 9 metres in width of the 12 metres of space.

The corners of the platform started ooze a red light before a beam of red light shot up into the sky. Like automatic doors, beacons of red light shot up into the sky, completely shutting Zhong Yi inside. Then a 1,000 metre red dragon's head pokes into the square

Out of nowhere, a pressure started to bear down on his body. 'Where has this happened before?' He was pretty sure he had to withstand pressure like this on his body before, but he cannot, for the life of hum, remember where.

The pressure increased on his body, trying to force him to submit while Zhong YI chucked at its pitiful attempts, even as sweat decorated his brows.

The dragon eyes turned to an approving light before a multicoloured blinding light shined and the menacing red dragon flew towards him and entered his body.

Immediately, a powerful aura exploded out from Yan Zhong Yi's body. This aura was filled with dignity, might, and a domineering sense that he controlled everything under the heavens.

Under this mighty aura, the onlookers outside the red beacon began to sweat from the pressure. The same cloud turning red phenomenon occurred and the ghouls all turned to kowtow, however Zhong Mei's eyes clouded with her eyes turning black.

The dragon had split just as it entered Zhong Yi body, with a smaller dragon about 1/100 the size flew at insane speeds to the barrier. A hole opened up allowing it to go through and it entered his daughter's body.

Above him, the fluttering of a wool like material prompted him to look up and he completely froze from what he saw. It brought back memories, both wanted and unwanted.

The sleek wooden pole that shimmered from the red light creating a sense of dread and fear. The blaring black background of the ensign seemed like it would absorb the soul of any looking at it and the red flower in the middle had five petals evenly spaced between each other with thorns at each split.

With the flag at the centre, a powerful bloodthirsty aura seeking slaughter spread out from it and stretched all the way to the edge of the platform. It floated down to eye level before Zhong Yi grasped it with such such a force his knuckle paled even more in colour than his already pale skin.

'How, this is impossible. An entire different world with different laws in how it is governed. It shouldn't be here' A faint prodding of consciousness pushed against his, it had no harmful intentions instead, it was more of a child-like curiosity like when Zhong Mei didn't know something and asked him for the answer.

He would be able to recognise this flag anywhere, the childhood stories about it were so numerous that most Ghoul children would have it ingrained into their memories and would recognise it at first sight, despite never seeing it. The flag was the [Devourer of Gods]. With the ability to absorb blood from the battlefields in unlimited amounts and refine them into [blood pills] determining on the setting, it was set on. It was a massive help to the sacred Ghoul empire becoming the powerhouse it was then.

It was unknown where it actually came from. Ancestor ghoul had it with him from the beginning of his conquests and soon it became their coat of arms and flags would adorn the rose thorn flower with a circle of black.

Zhong Yi's recollection was interrupted his body was enveloped in the same red light as the surroundings were and when the light disappeared. A white and red robe with was covering his body and on his head appeared the same white crown from earlier floated down from the sky, descending into his head.

His appearance slightly changed. His hair was no longer was white with purple highlights. Instead, the white disappeared leaving his hair completely purple. With the purple framing his face, and his slight change in appearance. He was more handsome than before.

All the surrounding red disappeared revealing him to the others kowtowing on the other side and likewise.

Zhong Yi took the time to open up the stats page and noticed quite a bit of changes. First of the received s title.

[Sacred Ghoul emperor]:The Legatee of the Sacred Ghoul empire and has the blessing of the Nation Fate.

The fate thing was a nice surprise for him, If he had guessed right it acted as a measurement as to how prosperous a territory is.

[Sacred — White and Red Dragon Embroidered Robe]: Can only be worn by the Sacred Ghoul's Legatee, and it is the symbol of sovereignty.

[Sacred — White and Red Dragon Crown]: Can only be worn by the Sacred Ghoul's Legatee, and it is the symbol of sovereignty.

He wanted to see what they would give him or any buffs he would get but, it only had a basic description about what it was and nothing else.

He checked the stats of the flag he held in hands and was now more puzzled

[Devourer Of Gods] (White Grade): A flag of brought out of the depth from the core of the chaos region and refined by the blood of billions of ghouls can suppress a nation's fate. (Note: Do not use it easily, as using the Twelve Metal Colossi consumes a great amount of Fate each time. However, it can be upgraded through obtaining a great amount of Fate). Second Form: Locked.

'Interesting and what is the chaos regions' more questions were piling up in his head, and he was unsure of how many times he can keep it locked in the bank of his mind.

Because he was checking everything new, he looked at the platform underneath him. [Heaven Prayer Platform]: A special structure of an Empire Legacy Village. It can level up with a village. Special Stats: Resistance to natural disasters +30%, Chances of spawning S grade or above villagers +15%.

With all the new stuff, he was content with all the new things ,especially the [heaven player platform]. The chance to summon more talented individuals is always a good thing and with the upgraded villages, the summoning output has risen meaning more people and even more soldiers.

The natural disaster resistance is always a good thing. He remembered having to deal with those dreadful things as prince and it wasn't exciting. Watching your people starve from famines, freeze from snowstorms, thirst from droughts. He was definitely not going to let it happen here.

Also, from the looks of it, only other legatees had them which caused a red light to flicker across his eyes in greed. 'The stats better stack'

"PAPA look at me, I'm a princess now!" Zhong Yi locked down to his feet to see his little girl twirling making the white and red dress she was wearing flutter in the air like wings. On her head was a little tiara that matched the crown on his head.

He held her by the armpits and hoisted her into the air as she giggled. "You were always a princess."

He added quietly when she went to show all the aunties around who gushed at how cute she was. "You were always my princess."

"It is good that you got over your misgivings. Your majesty," Minster Cheng appeared soundlessly at the side of Zhong Yi.

"Me too, it would've gotten in the way of everything."

"May I comment on how immaculate and handsome you look, while exuding a dominating presence?"

"Sure, stroke my ego." Zhong Yi gave a hearty laugh at Cheng Jianguo shamelessness.

Expecting a no, Minister Cheng wasn't sure how to respond. "Well for starters, the new purple hair that you have seamlessly tied into a neat ponytail with strands hanging down on both sides radiates handsomeness and class. Your crown gives a powerful and dignified aura. The robes covering your tall frame fail to hide the well-trained muscles. Overall, your handsome your majesty."

His mood was good to begin with, so he decided to reward the man "Minister Cheng, there is a city on the other side of the portal being set up that requires some expert handling in the near future. Oh, and the trees inside the region will be used in the construction of every house. You seem to be "

"A-All of them?"

"Yes, everything. Plus, I will need to know how the villages upgraded when all the EXP needed for it would go towards the main village which was the Sacred Ghoul Village."
