New Emperor Of Ghouls

The shadows came to a halt on top of a slanted roof belonging to a vengeful servant just outside of the walled compound.

A figure stood in the middle of the shadows, a hood hiding his appearance like his companions. A large black cloak wrapped around his figure hiding his tall, lean build blending him into the darkness of the night.

Under the hidden arm of the cloaked figure was a sharp hidden blade, its blade sliced through wandering moonlight with little difficulty as it zinged from being sheathed.

The leader figure's hand was raised into the air and changed to make various hand signals and the rooftop suddenly became empty leaving the lone figure standing on the roof.

Slowly, a deadly silence began to dominate the compound.

No noise from the patrols.

No burning sound from the torches.

No swaying of the pretty trees from a gentle breeze.

No more grunts of p.l.e.a.s.u.r.e and begs for mercy from the bedchambers.

Only silence.

The figures appeared back on the rooftop of the vengeful servant and stood behind the figure who stayed behind.

"Wasn't this overkill boss?" A slightly upset tone emerged from a tall cloaked figure standing a few steps behind the captain.

"We can never be too sure for our debut." The leading figure replied back without turning back to address the crowd behind him.

With that, the figures all disappeared leaving behind a whimpering guard. The guard had become so frightened he had been screaming till his voice turned hoarse and continued to scream.

The noise alarmed passing by patrolling soldiers. Knocking the door down, the scent of iron greeted and alarmed the soldiers. With weapons in hand and bodies crouched low, they slowly moved towards the sound of the screaming.

When they saw the terrified guard, they demanded answers. Hoarse screaming was the Guards reply. Knocking the man out, more soldier arrives to investigate the compound and found out everyone inside had been slaughtered.

The guard's unconscious body was brought to the city barracks for questioning. However, when he awoke only two words left his broken throat repeatedly as if he were reliving the memory again and again and again.

"Red eyes!"

"Why have you not found this legatee yet?" An anger fueled shout rippled through a town hall.

Whenever a region was conquered a system announcement would ring throughout the world telling everyone about it.

Numerous phenomena had been happening in the nightmare forest scaring legatees all around the world because of the fact that a legatee or numerous legatees were acc.u.mulating strength and conquering regions already.

Thinking about it was terrifying and made other legatees around the world fret for their lives. Spies, agents, human with special abilities were all tasked with finding out about this mysterious group amassing strength.

"Your majesty, the nightmare forest is home to other races and searching within them is hard because of how distinguishable humans are compared to the green shin of goblins, or the red skin of kobolds" Meekly explained an advisor.

"Then pay for more adventurers to search, look for clues and use your f.u.c.k.i.n.g brains for once!" The legatee shouted back with even more anger lacing every word.

He watched with disdain as the men walked out with their head bowed so low they could suck their own…

"Your Grace, you are too tense." A soft voice floated into the ears of the legatee as hands went to his shoulders slowly massaging them.

"How many times must I tell you to call me Dong Long, Vixen."Dong Long's voice softened visibly as he craned his neck back into the embrace of the woman behind him.

"Because you still call me vixen after how many years we've known each other. Call me Chun Li" Rebuked the Women.

She released a sigh and asked the question in her head. "Do you still put up with your family elders, they are useless and waste resources trying to live lavish."

"I can not do such a thing. I don't know how they managed to acquire gold, but they bought the services of several guilds." Explained the Legatee with a tired expression. "And what would the world think of me. The bastard child biting the hand that fed him after he got a little bit of power."

"Do not call yourself that!" Chun Li grabbed the sides of Dong Long's face and turned it so he could see her hazel eyes burning with exasperation staring into his dark brown ones. "Bastard or not, you single handedly managed to bring up the legendary Goldstar dynasty without the help of those meddling old men and you will continue to do so!"

"You don't get it! I've tried to get rid of them, but they keep coming back with even more players hanging onto their every whim like slaves. Those greedy vultures infest my city and I cannot do a thing!" The legate's fist clenched with an ungodly grip as the urge to break and violently dismantle anything continued to build up within him.

"The rose thorns," her silent mutter, almost whisper, entered his ears. "hire the rose thorn guild"

"The upstart assassin guild?" Questioned The Goldstar Legatee with hints of dubious intent.

"Yes them!" Nodded Chun Li as she sat on his l.a.p. "They will take care of all your problems only for a small condition and quite a bit of gold, but the success of their attacks means they at least are capable."

"It won't just be my problem, it will be our problem!" Said Dong Long as he hooked his arms around her waist, he stared into her beautiful phoenix eyes. "Okay, contact them and WE will meet them together."

Chun Li smile reached her eyes as she pulled Dong Long into a hug with his head resting on her c.h.e.s.t and her chin resting on his raven black hair.

Tears threatened to spill from her eyes as she took deep breaths to calm down. She knew already that Dong Long could hear her heartbeat smashing against her ribcage.

"D-Do you mean it?" slowly asked the Vixen as if she was scared to hear his answer.

He pulled back his left arm from her thin waist and framed her face moving the soft curls of red hair cascading down her face. "Without a doubt. I'm sure it is you that I want,

Chun Li searched his eyes for any trace of deceit or lie and when she saw none, she connected her full lips to his.
