New Emperor Of Ghouls

Chapter 69 - 69: Prepare Yourselves

Assassinations happened simultaneously around the Goblin nation, and

entire Goblin Clans were calling for blood.

The crown prince of the Scabby eye clan was assassinated in his sleep. Despite his arrogant attitude, he was well-loved by his people because of his efficient administration talents. His plans made his territory the ric.h.e.s.t in the Goblin nation.

The favoured second prince of the Red-eye clan was hanged and his body beaten with a blunt weapon. His gentle disposition made him well-loved compared to his tyrannical siblings.

The ferocious warrior prince of the bloody spear was stripped n.a.k.e.d and left with his throat slit in the middle of the road. He fought hard and gained region after region for the clan, so his death was an insult to the entire Bloody Spear Clan.

The plan was so well-thought-of that Zhong Yi image of Prince Alucard was raised.

From news from the Goblin merchants, they learnt that there was substantial tension between specific clans because of what those three princes.

The warrior prince was despised by the Moon Sword clan for taking regions after regions from them.

The gentle prince refused to meet the Crooked Jaw Clan and neglected them outside his capital, making them leave with the embarrassment and their pride hurt.

The crown prince physically took the Broken Horn Clan's primary source of revenue, causing its economy to deteriorate. Their hate only increased when they couldn't afford to outfit their soldiers completely.

However, that's not what made Zhong Yi respect Alucard's deviousness. It's the fact that people in the accused goblin are claiming the act for themselves and the rumours flowing from the travelling merchants to the bridge.

From what he heard, the clans are arming themselves for a long-prolonged war. The hate driving each of them was enough to fuel this prolonged war and blind most to the fact this war would weaken them to the enemy, not joining it.

The largest and strongest clan, the Greenhead Clan, stationed their soldiers at the borders.

Zhong Yi, on the other hand, plans on changing that little fact soon.

Yu Heng stood amongst his transformed brethren feeling like he had made a massive mistake.

The fanatically crazed look in the 300 Hakinae before him, slightly scared him. It was like looking into the eyes of starving vultures.

'At least their loyalty is assured. right?'

After Feng Chen had extensively tested Yu Heng on where his loyalties lied, he passed with flying colours.

Not once did he flinch when ordered to slaughter the people he once knew as comrades.

Did he feel bad about it? Yes.

But when reminded of the fact, he was doing it for a better future for his family, any species of hesitation evaporated as quickly as it appeared.

His first task as a Hakinae of the Sacred Ghoul Empire was to convert the other prisoners to a loyalist.

He wasn't even sure how he did it himself. What he did know though, was that the Goblins now saw the Sacred Ghoul Emperor as a God.

"Follow me." The new transformed Hakinae were outfitted in palladium armour in their sizes.

He realised how much faith the Emperor had put into his task and felt grateful for the trust.

Yu Heng was determined to try even harder to not disappoint his majesty.

The Goblin soldiers, now turned Hakinae, followed behind him in an organised march. 3 Goblin captains led 100 Hakinae soldiers in 3 columned lines.

Pride build up within him as they marched out of the encampment for prisoners of war and marched towards the Sacred Ghoul Town.

Their beautiful, gentle visages made them seem like ethereal beings, especially with how the sunlight seemed to ricochet off their skin, creating a glow rise on the surface of their skin.

The transformation seemed to trigger something deep within them that strengthened their bodies. While not as exaggerated as Ghouls, it was enough to set them apart from their original race.

They also seemed to have an unnatural affinity with spirit energy. When he told his majesty, he heard him mumble something about elves, but he wasn't sure what it meant, so filed it away to the back of his mind.

With a day of rest between his first task and his test, he had time to get the Sacred origin scripture and cultivate a bit.

The transformation reset him back to stage 0-1 and a day of cultivating brought him to 0-3.

Yu Heng was elated. A day of cultivating brought him the same results of cultivating for months as a goblin. And this wall all without any cultivating resources.

It only served to reinforce his image of the Sacred Ghoul Emperor in his mind, for allowing such an opportunity and confirmed his resolution to not fail him.

Zhong Yi stood inside the plaza inside the Sacred Ghoul Town. He had Yu Heng stand beside him as they looked down at the 300 Hakinae soldiers.

The shadow emperor leaned forward to whisper into his ear. "Your majesty, the human slaves should reaching here by tomorrow morning."

"Good, keep me updated.' Feng Chen nodded before disappearing once more.

Zhong Yi swept another glance at the Hakinae recently changed into beserkers, still not believing what he was seeing.

He was unsure of the Goblins connection to elves. The ethereal glow of the skin, heightened affinity

with spirit energy, the beauty of every member of their 301 numbered race.

He was 100% sure that goblins were somehow connected to that race, and was glad they were on his side.

Remembering the devastating weapons utilising energy from his days as prince of the old empire, sent a shudder down his spine.

The Sacred Ghoul Empire had incredibly smart scholars. They were responsible for constructing the spires of dominion. But when compared with the elves of his precious universe, they still paled in comparison.

Zhong YI hoped that the elves in the heaven awaken word, were nothing alike. But prayed the Hakinaes were.

He turned his attention back to the Hakinae standing before him."How many amongst you have a family?"

He shook his head slightly. "How many of you wish your family to join you. To become one of you and live amongst us."

Everyone's hands shot up.

"There are many Goblins out there who are confused. They do not understand what awaits them, all of them."

The Hakinaes nodded their heads in agreement.

"They will need someone to guide them towards the light. To show them the correct path

They need you." The Hakinae shouted in agreement.

"Only you can convince your brethren about what is right. Only you can rescue your misguided brethren from the clutches of the wrong Royals.

They start wars on whims and expect your families to fight in them and bleed for them without repayment."

The shouts grew louder as they began to knock their weapons against their c.h.e.s.t armour.

"So what will you do. Will you fight against your previous leaders to rescue your confused brothers and sisters."

"FIGHT!"

"Then remember this here and now. You Hakinae are people of my empire and I am your King, leader and Emperor."

"Yes!" A single shout from the Hakinae in unison had Zhong Yi nodding his head in approval.

"Good, go and prepare yourselves. You are too weak to achieve those goals."

Instead of dampening their newfound spirit, They shouted once more in unison before sitting down cross-legged and drawing spirit energy into their bodies.

"Your majesty, I don..."

"It's fine, let them cultivate here for the meanwhile. I like their straightforwardness."
