Nightblood

Chapter 5 - Computer Gaming Club

Today is a great day! I got up and stretched, then, smiling at the morning sun as I put on a pair of blue jeans white tee and silver chain, I made my way down to my kitchen for a glass of O Neg and pancakes. After finishing another satisfying meal, I got up to brush my teeth before heading out the door to my garage and my new car. Yes I bought another vehicle.

Glistening like the well oiled body of a beach babe, my s.e.xy black lambo purred like a kitten as I started her. I've decided to call her Rachael. Putting my baby into drive and tapping the garage opener, I input my onboard GPS and set the coordinates for a very popular computer gaming center in Des Moines, Iowa. Time to turn on some 90's greatest hits and hit up the interstate!

2 hours later...

I'm finally in Des Moines, man there's a lot of entrances to the city. I'm now pulling into the parking lot of 'Deep Call', the coolest gaming center in the city according to Google. Getting out, I hear many gasps of shock and admiration and turn around to see both men and women ogling my precious Rachael. Yes, I know she's beautiful, but only I can touch her. With a light smile to my audience, I made a brisk walk to the entryway of Deep Call and walked in hearing excited yells and the smell of many energy drink cans and bags of cheetos. Smirking at the atmosphere, I made my way up to the counter and spoke to the boss.

"Hey boss, sign me up for one of these computers, I saw online you guys host a computer gaming club here called Darkroom? I'm interested in joining so please add my name to your list, Damien Morgenstern. Right how much for 3 hours boss?" The guy guffawed before gripping my shoulder and saying, "Welcome to the family little brother. The name's Shaw, and 3 hours will run you $15. $5 an hour, no limit, we even have beds in the back. $30 an hour for those, includes wake up service with a complimentary energy drink. So, what will it be Damien pal?" With a wide smile on my face at the great reception, I gripped his shoulder too and said, "3 hours? I meant 12 hours boss Shaw!" After a good bit of joking around, and handing over the $60, I got on a computer and loaded up my favorite mmo.

Before I knew it my 12 hours of gaming were up and I had to get off. However, I paid for one hour for a bed and woke up to a nice black can of energy. Looking at the time, I realized Shaw switched with a girl. Wait a minute... isn't that. NIGHTHAWK?! EH?! No, wait wait wait. Calm down Damien, it's just a coincidence she's here right? Or so I thought until... She entered my room shutting my door. I sighed as I looked at her proud face and asked, "So, how did you find me Nighthawk?". She blushed slightly before coughing and saying, "I left a small tracer on my business card, but the funny thing is you came to me instead. It's fate now right?" With a reluctant smile on my face, I nodded and said, "Indeed, suppose I need a modern companion to help me understand this new world I'm experiencing. Very well, I shall sire you Nighthawk. You shall become a Daywalker. Be careful of your new identity." Without further ado, I took the girls wrist and bit drinking until almost empty, before gently cutting open my wrist and feeding her my blood. An hour later she woke up surprised. So, am I but I guess the more powerful ones take longer to awaken. Either way, I now have a partner to fight by my side. I pray to Sangue I chose correctly.
