NPC into Player: Let's Wreck This Game

Chapter 122: Enemies Are Coming!

Bloom had more interest when she said this. "Do you know anything about them?"

"Their levels are all twelve, and they are all veterans. I heard a strange name related to them but can't recall it now."

"A veteran group?" he muttered to himself. his mind recalled the five elites he once fought alongside Panty. They were such a headache that he was worried of their interference when ruining Panty's quest later on.

Amidst his thoughts, he spotted Nara crossing the distance between the two in jumping steps and a much distressed face. "Bad news, there is a group of hired elites coming here, to you."

He already heard the tip from his girl, yet he felt quite astonished at how fast she also had this info. 'Does she have an insider like me?' he thought to himself before calmly replying: "Don't worry, I'm used to fighting many strong players."

"These are different," she hurried to say, "they hailed from the Sentix corp, a very frightening and ancient group dedicated to training elite bodyguards and killers."

"Bodyguards and killers? That's strange indeed."

"No, you don't understand," she shook her head as she realized he wasn't fully understanding his current dangerous situation. "These are famous for having extra-human abilities running deep in their families. Never failed a task before, either in defending or killing."

"So they will kill me once and I lose a level?" he wasn't that worried yet another message came from Muna right now.

"They have one related to the dark players. He paid a hefty price to obtain a death soul collecting gear. Dying this time won't be just losing one level, it's more than that."

Bloom was surprised to hear that. "Dark player you say?" he didn't realize he wasn't the only player playing for the dark side of the game until now.

When he opened the message of Muna, he found her speaking about the same thing, yet with another addition.

"This man has tokens of dark agents like me, ten tokens in total."

"Oh, that's interesting."

"What are you talking about? Hurry and log off now so they won't find you when they come! That's the only option you have."

"I have another one," he confidently said.

"Going to the village? Then what? How will you go and level up then?"

"You are wrong," he smiled before adding, "logging off won't solve anything. They will wait and when I enter again they will kill me," he added, explaining the weakness of her solution.

"But it's safer! They won't know your place. We will move far from here to mislead them."

Bloom sighed, as she still didn't figure it out yet. As the two of them had their agents inside Panty's ranks, Panty and even his boss Dockrey had their eyes here. No matter where he would run to, he wouldn't be safe.

'Plus I want to fight such a dark player,' he thought to himself, and this mere thought made his blood boil.

"You are crazy!" she said as if she read his mind.

"Just stay away from here, as this fight will be quite chaotic," he advised, as he didn't want anyone to be a liability in the next fight.

Especially when he already knew what he should do.

"I… I can't do that… I won't do that!" she seemed startled by his own words, mistaking them as his own care of her.

"Don't worry, I can handle this."

"They are a hundred!"

"I once fought more than that."

"I can't leave you, I'm the one who brought this to you in the first place!"

She was so persistent that he finally yielded. "Fine, but do as I say and don't try to be heroic," he said of his condition, and she retorted back; "It's you who shouldn't act that heroic."

Then her face changed slightly as she muttered in a much softer tone, "especially to strangers… like me!"

"Sigh," he only sighed and said nothing. He didn't know what would she do if she knew he was that retarded man she never thought of!

He then watched her stand silent by his side while she was chatting with someone through messages. 'This is quite troublesome,' he thought to himself. 'Panty, why are you so hard to screw? Huh? Why don't you be obedient like Derick! Tsk, ruining this quest seems to get harder with time, sigh!'

This mere incident proved to him there were many variables in the game now. There was this strange company with strong individuals even in real life! And there were other dark players.

"Should I aim then for the head of the snake?" he thought to himself, thinking about targeting the big fish. "It's too early, I need first to cut off one of his arms," he decided to complete the game here with Panty first before heading towards Dockrey later.

"They have ten minutes to arrive," Nara suddenly said.

"Our players? Or the enemy?"

"Both!"

He smiled before glancing over the large number of monsters here. "It's time to use the game rules upon them, and see how good they really are."

He then glanced over the remaining fifteen players here. They were a mixture of the seven factions, with each faction having two players represented here.

"Jeffrey," he shouted, and the next moment Jeffrey stopped what he was doing and hurried back to him.

Everyone knew already about the incoming enemies, and their gloomy faces expressed their concern and worry.

"Will you say the plan now?" Nara asked with much anticipation.

"Sigh, it's not that easy to do so," he replied while glancing over her shoulder towards the other players, "especially when a mole is among us."

His words made her and Jeffrey's eyes got wideneded. "No way! I hand picked them myself! They are with me for years now!"

He silently watched her shocked expression without commenting. He knew the perfect spy was the one you never suspect! So her words didn't exclude any, but made him more sure about his guess. "Let's leave this matter for later then," he said as the mole might not be one of those standing here.

She stared with a reddened face of anger, feeling the bitterness of being fooled. She realized how much Bloom was trusting his judge, even though he didn't care to argue with her about it; like it was already a proven fact!

"What do you want from us then?" Jeffrey asked, trying to make the topic return to the original path; the plan.

"You all will go there," he said while pointing towards one direction far away from here.

"That's…" her face was still showing her shock and anger. "That's way too far!"

"Don't come until I give you the signal to do so," he ignored her remark before adding, "I will deal with them first, and leave the finale to you."

"Are you sure of this?" Jeffrey was much collected and calmer than Nara, "Won't you need any help from us?"

"Just go now and be ready to come when time is ripe," Bloom didn't answer him as he wouldn't tell his plan to them.

Despite being so simple, he was pretty sure they wouldn't think of it. If they didn't, then the mole here wouldn't know, and his enemies wouldn't as well.
