NPC into Player: Let's Wreck This Game

Chapter 165: Arranging Things

Gilbert just sighed. "No matter how we did it, nothing will be perfect. This is the trait of being a human," he said before adding, "I'm sure now not only this mysterious man is a traitor, but more alongside him."

"Is there more than the ones I saw?" Bloom said before recalling something, "yeah, he said he couldn't attend the party in the hotel, so you can know his identity. Right?"

"Tsk, not that easy kid," Gilbert said, "the rulers of the game company aren't just our CEO board," he shook his head before adding, "plus he spoke of corps not a single company. That term is commonly used for other CEO boards of other corps belonging to ``Miss Natalie."

Bloom already felt how difficult it was even before Gilbert continued, "many were invited from other CEO boards, yet few only showed up."

"But this one has access to the game system, can't you at least pin it to those who used the system of CEO during this period?" Bloom was just stubborn to let this matter drop like this.

This was a lead, a strong lead, the only lead he had and he wasn't willing to use it.

"Boy, I just came out of the game when I received the notification of your call," Gilbert said and didn't add more.

"Sigh," Bloom understood his meaning, "it's not a clue then."

"Just let it go, that man is very cautious. He would be extra careful to say or do something that might expose his true identity."

"I just hoped my ID would be secured," Bloom sighed again.

"This…" his sudden remark made Gilbert's eyes shine, "we can arrange a trap for him."

"A trap?" Bloom had his hopes raised up again, "what trap?" he asked.

"I can't track back things in the past, but if we have a specific time where you will be more likely to meet him then I can easily know his ID."

"Really?" Bloom shouted like a kid, "how can you do it? Why don't you do it now?"

"Sigh, your ID is very precious. After the beginning of the game we executed an instant delete to any data related to you or Dockrey."

"But he still reached me," Bloom was confused.

"Yes, I guess we had a leak in the operational and management team," Gilbert sighed before adding, "even I didn't know your ID so far, yet if I wanted to know I could easily do it with a simple phone call."

"That's not reassuring at all," Bloom complained, "my ID could be exposed to anyone like this."

"Exposed yes, but not leaked. The oath regarding leaking the ID is the heaviest one we thought of," he said before adding, "your ID and Dockrey's ID can't be leaked by any means, not by saying, writing, or even mentioning from far."

"Hmm…" Bloom wasn't much reassured yet.

"Try to accept it, it's the furthest we ever reached in our current knowledge," Gilbert said before adding, "I now want to know your ID so I can start preparing."

Bloom smiled while Gilbert laughed, "c'mon kid, or do you want me to make that phone call?"

"Hahaha, for me it's best to let you know on your own," Bloom said before adding, "but I will lose the fun watching that gaze upon your face."

"What gaze?"

"The shocked gaze."

"Hahaha," Gilbert laughed amusingly with what Bloom just said, "kid, I lived longer and saw more than you ever could think of. Believe me, nothing can surprise me easily, forget even about shocking me."

"We'll see…" Bloom smiled while Antoan silently sighed on the side. "My game ID is…"

"and let the drums rumble," Gilbert was having fun at this moment while amusingly waiting for Bloom to expose his ID.

"Bloom."

"…"

"Hahaha, this look is just priceless, hahaha," Bloom laughed as he had the expected shocking expression over Gilbert's face the moment he said his name.

"Ahem," Gilbert cleared his throat, "that explains everything," he muttered in deep frown before exploding in loud laughs, "hahaha, that kid, hahaha, he is already miles behind you right now."

Bloom smiled and said nothing. "Oh dear, my daughter is a fanatic of you, y'know," Gilbert winked and Bloom shook his head before saying:

"C'mon, we are talking about getting me into another girl, not yours."

"I heard you have a big appetite, not satisfied by one and aiming for the maid," Gilbert said of this tricky comment with a hidden question he had now in mind.

Once he knew the true ID of Bloom moments ago, his mind linked everything and realized one simple fact. "This kid… he isn't the fool everyone took him for," he thought to himself before waiting for this indirect question.

"Yeah, you can say I have a big appetite," Bloom nodded, as he avoided this tricky question embedded in Gilbert's words.

"Great, then add her to your team then," Gilbert clapped while his eyes exposed the new lights he had about Bloom.

He wasn't young anymore, so that minute pause and frown of Bloom for a brief second there didn't miss his senses. "This kid knows…" he reached to such a conclusion, as only him and little trusted men of the CEO board knew about the trick Natalie's father performed before his death.

"Aren't you afraid of her old man?"

"From what?" Gilbert laughed, "she is really tougher than what you think. A real gamer, not an amateur like my other kid."

"Then send them both," Bloom shrugged as he didn't care much about it, "but don't expose me to her, alright?"

"I just told you I can't deliver anything about you to anyone no matter who," Gilbert said before smiling, "as for my little kid, he is now part of Dockrey's team."

"Wow," Bloom sincerely exclaimed in admiration, "I like this little mind of you."

"Brilliant mind."

"Old mind."

"Big mind."

"Can we end the call here then?" Antoan suddenly interfered in this childish exchange between the two, and his remark made them both laugh.

"Sure, I'll hit you when I'm ready," Gilbert said before ending the call from his end.

"Sigh, it's much more hard than I thought," Bloom threw his body over the couch while feeling already exhausted.

"Did you think that man would easily expose himself? That oath of them isn't that easy to meddle with," Antoan just stood in front of Bloom while checking over him for a couple of moments. "You should get some rest."

"I need to," Bloom said as he squeezed his temple, "but I have no time to waste. Tell me what this oath is all about?"

"I can't say," Antoan shook his head before adding in a more serious way, "those who accidentally stumbled upon this secret can't share it to anyone."

"It's not the oath about the competition."

"I didn't mean the competition here."

Bloom gazed silently at Antoan who kept his mouth shut. "You made me curious to find out about this oath," he had his wide smile while his eyes shone with a challenging spirit.

"Just… forget it," Antoan sighed.

"If not for your dramatic secrecy here I would have just jumped over it," Bloom shrugged, "now I want to arrange certain things before entering the game."

"What things?" Antoan asked.

"Did I tell you I have two IDs in the game?"

Antoan glanced in weirder look over him before muttering, "that's surely unheard of."

"It's a gear," Bloom said without explaining much, "and this one created another ID for me."

"And?" Antoan couldn't read his master's mind anymore.

"I want your team to be working under this ID."

"That's nothing," Antoan released a long breath, "I thought you have other tough things to arrange here."

"I do," Bloom nodded, "I want you to level up fast, in less than two days you all must reach the village stage."

"But we won't be able to come to your village," Antoan said, "the game info in the forums and sites all spoke about such restraint."

"Never mind about this," Bloom casually waved his hand, "just level up fast and be ready. I'll send over the needed gold to make you transfer here."

"Alright," Antoan nodded as he understood his master's meaning. "Anything else?" he asked as he sensed there was more.

"The Cyan studio," Bloom said before adding, "I want you to arrange a meeting with the… fourth sister of them in the game soon."

"By the other ID?"

"Yeah," Bloom nodded, "the ID is called Sunny, and just take their IDs and let me do the contact with them."

"I'll fetch a message to miss Natalie personally then," Antoan said before adding, "when do you want to meet them?"

"Now," Bloom firmly answered, "I don't want to waste any more time."

"Alright, will leave instantly and then return to arrange things in the game."

Bloom watched him hurrying to leave before he sighed. "Things are… getting more complicated, tsk."

He didn't imagine such a trifle competition with incompetent kid would make things go to such lengths. "Dockrey isn't the problem, those standing in the shadows supporting him are," he muttered before sighing, "I should wait for his return before entering the game.

He stretched his body on the couch and went into deep sleep in no time.
