NPC into Player: Let's Wreck This Game

Chapter 233: The Emergency Call Quest

"System alert: you are an agent of light. Dark times are looming ahead, and everywhere the game world is under constant threat of the dark forces. The darkness era descended, and you are the only shining knight in such a pitch black world.

A sun burns on its own to light the path for others. You are asked to start the punitive emergency call over system settlements once per week. Once issues, the entire settlement will be locked, the tickets will be rendered nonfunctional.

The call will last for one hour. During which any dark player or NPC will be forced to be revealed. Your task is to roam the settlement and start attacking those.

The dark players and NPCs won't be seen by the guards until you clash with them, and you are needed to reveal at least sixty percent of them or else the quest is considered a failure.

Succeeding the quest will give the player good prestige points, increase the player's enmity with the dark camp, and also rich rewards like gold, materials, gears, pets, butlers, servants…etc. the final reward will be determined over the overall performance of the player during each quest.

Failing the quest will cut some prestige points, gears, materials, and ten percent of the inventory of the player.

Player will have to pay ten thousand gold coins per quest if he doesn't want to activate the quest for one week.

Good luck, the entire light camp is depending on your performance."

"Can you do it?" Anna noticed the weird look over his face before he smiled in confidence. "I can," he simply answered.

He didn't frown because of the difficulty of the quest, but for the funny fact that he was now the agent of darkness and light at the same time.

Two opposing camps and he was the agent of the two… this was such a weird and funny situation he didn't know how he ended up being in.

"I'll take my leave now," he said in respect, "I have many villages to visit."

"Oh, you plan to start right away?" her eyes shone with surprise, "you know the quest can be done once per week."

"I plan to activate it once per day if I could, or even more," he smiled before adding, "the situation inside the villages is simply messy at the moment."

He wasn't exaggerating. Right now the trend was to become a dark player, and walking inside any village wasn't safe anymore.

For him he didn't care much about that, but he felt some threat thinking about his enemy.

He wasn't on Dockrey's radar for now, but soon he would. After what he intended to do with Gerard he was pretty sure Dockrey would send an endless stream of players after him.

And he should be prepared for them. This quest wouldn't serve in this mission only, but he planned to use it as the mighty sword against the necks of his enemies.

"Impressive," she praised, "I'll wait for your news then."

He excused himself and went first to buy tickets to this town before using his ticket to return to the Rendog village.

'Where are you now?' he sent this to Antoan while moving towards the gate of the village.

'We are fighting a group of monsters,' Atnoan sent before adding, 'don't come. I think there are some strange folks around.'

Bloom halted his steps before asking, 'Nara's spies?'

'I don't think so. I believe it's your enemy.'

"Dockrey," Bloom clenched his fists before Antoan sent again:

'I think they followed the footsteps of Peri and Jeffrey and saw me.'

'Expected,' Bloom sent before opening his list of friends and sent enough tickets to Antoan. 'Use them now and go to that village.'

'Alright,' Antoan knew this was for the best, 'just give us a few minutes to wrap things here.'

'Np.'

Bloom already used his ticket and moved from the village. He roamed many places and bringing his team along wasn't that much of a deal.

Exposing them here was expected, and before he could gather enough players around he wouldn't risk a direct clash with Dockrey's forces.

He didn't wait for long before Antoan and the team appeared.

"This place…" Antoan glanced all around before weirdly smiling, "it's quite desolate!"

"The entire game worlds aren't that filled with players yet," Bloom smiled as he selected this village for that reason. He didn't want to be in a very bustling place, as like that anyone coming to spy on them would be easily detected.

"What's now?" a player asked.

"We'll keep leveling up," Bloom said before adding, "we got roughly a day and half before we move."

Bloom led them to fight while he kept his distance back with Antoan. The moment they saw his level everyone got an instant scare, but he didn't explain.

The veneration looks in their eyes were so evident and he was quite satisfied by their reaction.

"You know the lady is asking for a meeting," Antoan suddenly came after one day of leveling.

The monsters here were skeletons, the first Bloom faced when the darkness era appeared.

"When?" he simply asked while watching the boys fighting and taking note of those worthy of his support.

And there were many.

"Tomorrow," Antoan had a weird look over his face, "she asked strictly for everyone to come, as she had a plan she wanted to implement."

"Interesting," Bloom smiled, "did she have her own agenda ready? Did she expose the target?"

"No," Antoan shook his head, "it seems she is worried of spies in her group."

"She should," Bloom nodded, "after all she bought them with money, and those loyal to money can't be trusted."

"She also asked to bring you," Antoan paused.

"Did she know about my level?"

"I… doubt that," Antoan glanced over everyone here before adding, "I trust this group and they won't leak a thing."

"I also chose to hide my level," Bloom thought for a moment before adding, "these two must have told her about me."

"This is the only possible reason."
