NPC into Player: Let's Wreck This Game

Chapter 324: Take Me With You

"What for?" she asked in a playful way.

"For this of course," he said, while hiding his real intentions.

"This little one here would only be opened by one of these stones of mine," she said before adding, "they are expensive."

"You said they can be acquired easily in this world."

"I did, but that doesn't mean it's a normal cabbage."

"C'mon, I need only a few of them."

"Planning for more raids?" she asked with anticipation, "I'd love to attend one of these with you."

"Can't agree to that," he said while feeling grateful she provided him with a suitable lie to use, "give me some, I have a bunch of traitors waiting to be slaughtered."

"On one little condition."

"I'll take you out to dinner."

"How come this is in my favor and not yours?" she strangely said with a chuckle, "no, I meant something else."

"What?"

"The fort that bastard mentioned… I wanna attend this war."

"Out of question," he didn't even flinch before adding, "that's way too dangerous."

"I got this ring," she showed off her hand with the ring he gave to her.

"Still impossible," he shook his head.

"Then you won't get any of these," she threw the stones up in the air like a little kid playing with rocks.

"C'mon, don't be this stubborn."

"It's you who is!"

"I'm worried about you."

"I have this ring," she showed off the ring once more, "it's a gift from a boy."

"Tell me about him," he slightly enjoyed her little game here.

"He is handsome," she said while nodding, "a little impulsive but it's ok. The only thing I hate about him is his worrying all day over me like I'm a ten years old girl and he isn't a mere player in the game."

"That's… quite harsh," he bitterly smiled.

"It's the truth," she casually shrugged as if she didn't care about his feelings.

"But I like it," he sneered, "give me the stones then."

"Not without your word."

"C'mon, it's too risky," he said before pointing out to her, "and you know it. Look me in the eye and say it's not."

"Why would I care about that?" she puffed her lips, "I got my knight defending my life at every corner."

"You are going to give that knight a heart attack."

"No, he is invincible," she laughed, "'just tell him to trust me more."

"No other way around then?"

"Give me your word and these stones are yours to take."

He glanced at the group of almost ten stones and decided to accept her terms.

"On one condition," he said, "you will follow all my orders to the letter."

"Right boss," she stood straight while saying in a fake serious tone.

"I'm not joking here," he stressed again on his condition, "no matter what. If I told you to run, you run like nothing in the world is safe for you to stay. If I asked you to leave and abandon me then you'll comply, got it?"

"Right boss, I won't disobey any order like an obedient ten years old girl."

He glanced in doubt at her but he cared more at the stones in her hand. "Give them to me," he said.

"If you ever planned to trick me," she extended her hand before retracting it fast, "I swear you won't have a guild base when coming back."

"I'm a man of my words," he simply said before taking the stones and the ring off her hand.

The next moment he let one stone over the ring after wearing it. "It needs your blood smart one," she said after noticing the weird glance over his face. When he tried to put the stone over the ring, the ring absorbed it but he couldn't access it.

But when he let a drop of blood fall over the ring, the ring shone in a strange way all of sudden while the red light left a nice reflection over his face.

And she just kept examining his features under that bright light for a few moments before the light vanished.

"This… It has a huge space inside! Like a little village!"

Once the light was gone, he gained access to the ring at the next moment. There he found a large space, like a hall of a throne.

And that hall stretched for miles right and left while the walls and ceiling were covered in a smooth layer of strange bronze ore.

"It's only a bronze grade ring," she said like it was trash, "if you have a golden grade ring you'll have even levels to store things inside. But… that thing is much more pricey than you think."

"I should get one then," he said with much anticipation on his face.

"Bring me one as well, or wait bring me a ton of it," she mockingly laughed but he never took her words to heart.

"I'll go now," he took all the things that belonged to him. "I believe there are close to a couple of million gold coins in here."

"Not enough," she shook her head.

"It's a start," he simply said, "everything should have a start somewhere, right?"

She nodded and watched him leave before sighing. "I dunno if you can get me through to the end of this," she muttered to herself while his back kept getting further away behind the gates of her mansion, "but I'm not regretting having these moments with you."

What he didn't know was that her earlier request was for her to be with him for the longest period of time.

As for him, he kept moving towards one direction only while his soul couldn't stay still from excitement.

"Damn! I almost missed this golden chance!"

He had acquired two rings before and thought they were useless or damaged. But now he realized how important these rings were.

"It's a good thing to not throw anything away as a habit," he said to himself before getting closer to the hotel in this town.

'Where are you, boss?'
