NPC into Player: Let's Wreck This Game

Chapter 46: Going Through Items of the Treasure Chest

They all got used to following his orders, depending on him, on his strategies, and listening to his in depth info about the game. so, it seemed quite strange to hear him say that, quite hard to picture them leveling up without him.

However, they all knew how dangerous his situation was! If they were with him, they would slow him down, plus one player could easily hide, not like a group of nine!

"Just…" Peri hesitated, before adding, "just be careful, ok?"

He smiled, before nodding, as he said nothing. It was hard to kill him, but he knew killing wasn't the end of the road. He wouldn't lose a thing, except his quest during the process.

If not for the two mighty swords he currently had, and that impressive title he owned, he wouldn't care much about losing a couple of levels here. However, he had to stand out, be more careful, and try to reach level ten just before others could touch him.

He waved his hand to them all, while moving away, departing the group he had played for a good amount of time with.

He went towards the distance, with his mind busy with many calculations. His stats were now monstrous, with no one to be compared with him in the game, at least not here in this area.

He was now level eight, with Hp skyrocketing to five hundred and fifty points, while his Atp had reached three hundred and fifty five points. If he used his swords without any skills, he could simply kill any player, no matter what!

If he used a skill, then his damage would escalate to range seven hundred to one thousand, according to the skill used. He was considered a monster himself. That was without the stats added by his new gears, which would change his whole stats, making them reach a new level.

So, he moved without any worry at all. He just was thinking of an issue, he had no self healing skills of any kind, or any AOE skill. He had very strong offensive skills, and few defensive skills, but in a large number of players' battle, he was at a disadvantage here.

The only thing that kept him secured was the stockpile of the Hp potions he had in his inventory.

As he recalled his inventory, he was reminded of the things he took from the treasure chest. He didn't have time till now to examine them, and he now had some time to do so.

The moment he opened the inventory, he had spotted ten items. He was quite satisfied at first with this amount. Treasure chests in low levels like this only gave a scarce number of items, usually three to five.

Besides, he was sure these items were all rare treasures in themselves, as they came from a red ranked treasure chest.

The first thing his eyes fell upon was a level five ranked SS materials, numbered thirty. By this, he had fifty level five ranked SS materials.

He had these materials saved for later uses, as he wanted to use them in forging great gears in the future.

The next item he saw was something new. He took out a small crystal, translucent, with rough edges as it wasn't complete.

"Power crystal shard: used to level up skills. gather ten shards to form one crystal."

He read it more than once before a smile popped up on his face. This was a power crystal, one of the main currencies in this game.

He knew these shards wouldn't fall before reaching level twenty, and so he took some time to realize this was true.

"If this was a power crystal shard, then this should be an energy crystal shard," he muttered as he stored the first shard and took another one. It was white opaque, and when he investigated it, he knew his conclusion was correct.

"Energy crystal shard: used to level up talents. Gather ten shards to form one crystal."

His smile got bigger, while he examined the number of each crystal in his inventory. There were only five of each shard, not enough to make a whole crystal.

"What a regret," he muttered, but he knew finding these shards at level twenty was a headache to all players due to their low falling rate from monsters and dungeons.

Only big guilds with a large base of players managed to monopolize these crystals, but he now had another tip about how to find them.

"I had to pray to find red treasure chests to find more of these shards then," he prayed, hoping to gather more shards, enough to make more than one crystal at the least.

He put away the energy shard, while glancing at the rest of items. Three were small team missions, while the other two were medium team missions.

He just glanced at them without any interest, feeling a loss here. These missions were a treasure for any team or guild, as each one of them would summon a dungeon enough to be cleared by a small or medium sized team.

The rewards of these would be immense, and usually there would be treasure boxes there as well. These missions were eligible to level thirty, so he could store them for later use.

How regretful it was that he never planned to play with a team forever, or form his own team or guild. He planned to roam freely everywhere, wrecking this game as much as he liked.

Attaching himself to a place or a group or a guild would hinder this mission of his, so he considered these items as his loss, as he wouldn't get benefit from them.

The last two items were gold coins, reaching seven hundred gold coins, and a strange item that resembled a seed.

He took it out and examined it, to be frozen instantly by what he just read!

"Seed of the tree of life: a seed that can sprout a tree of life if the requirements were met. Tree of life is the nemesis of the death shrine. Quest item."

He didn't have time to think, as the next moment, system notifications fell over him like rain!

"System alert: Player has acquired a quest item, triggering the related quest."

"System alert: Player has triggered the seed of tree of life quest successfully."

"System alert: Player has a quest belonging to an opposing faction to the seed of tree of life quest. Player has to make up his mind, as serving both factions won't work."
